Chapter 6: The Unwritten Truth
Trapped in My Own Mafia Romance
The dim glow of streetlights filtered into Sia's room as she stared blankly at her laptop screen. She had submitted her application to Delhi Business School, sealing her fate. No more dreams of London or a life far from this twisted reality she had somehow stumbled into.
Her heart weighed heavy with regret. But she had no choiceâshe needed a fresh start, far from the chaos Abeer Rathore carried with him like a second skin.
She closed the laptop and stood up, her steps heavy as she made her way to the balcony. The city hummed below, oblivious to her turmoil.
What had she gotten herself into?
And more importantlyâhow did she get here in the first place?
---
Meanwhile, at Rathore Industries Headquarters
Abeer leaned back in his chair, the glow from his massive floor-to-ceiling windows casting shadows across the room. His fingers tapped rhythmically against the mahogany desk. His face was unreadable, but the sharp gleam in his eyes hinted at his restlessness.
He had heard whispersâwhispers of Sia Malhotra's sudden change of plans. She had withdrawn her London Business School application and enrolled at a local institution instead.
Why?
It made no sense. Sia wasn't the type to settle. She was ambitious, driven, and fiercely independent. That was what had drawn him to her in the first placeâthe fire in her eyes that matched his own.
But now, that fire seemed to have dimmed.
A knock at the door pulled him from his thoughts.
"Come in," he said tersely.
One of his men stepped inside. "Sir, we traced the issue with Malhotra's daughter's rejection from LBS."
Abeer's brow furrowed. "And?"
"There was no interference from our side."
Abeer's eyes narrowed. "You're certain?"
"Positive, sir. It appears to be a genuine administrative decision."
That didn't sit well with him. Nothing in his world happened without his knowledge or control. He ran this cityâand often the shadows that stretched far beyond it.
He waved the man off, his mind churning.
Why would Sia back down if it wasn't because of him?

The Next Day
Sia walked across the sprawling campus of Delhi Business School, her heart heavy but resolute. The atmosphere was bustling, filled with students laughing, studying, and chasing dreams. She hoped she could blend into this crowd and build a life that didn't involve tangled ties to the mafia king.
Her phone buzzed in her pocket.
She hesitated before checking it, already knowing who it was.
Abeer: Where are you?
She deleted the message without replying.
But fate had a cruel sense of irony.
"Sia Malhotra."
Her blood ran cold. She turned to see Abeer standing a few feet away, dressed in a black shirt and slacks, his presence commanding as ever. He looked completely out of place on a college campus, yet somehow he made it his domain with just one look.
"What are you doing here?" she hissed.
He tilted his head, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "I could ask you the same thing. Thought you'd be in London by now."
Her jaw clenched. "Things change."
"Why?" His voice was low, probing.
"It's none of your business," she shot back, refusing to let him see her vulnerability.
Abeer's expression hardened. "Everything about you is my business."
She exhaled sharply. "Not anymore. Stay out of my life, Abeer."
He took a step closer, his voice soft but dangerous. "You think you can just walk away from this world?"
"This world?" she scoffed. "What does that even mean? You act like you own some alternate reality."
Abeerâs eyes darkened. "I do."
Her stomach twisted at his arrogance, but she held her ground. "Well, Iâm done playing your game."
He stared at her for a long, tense moment. "We'll see about that."
Without another word, he walked away, his presence lingering like a storm cloud.

Later That Night
Sia sat on her bed, her heart racing. Abeer's words echoed in her mind.
He spoke as though he controlled everythingâas though this world revolved around him. But he didn't know the truth.
She had made this world.
Every character, every twist, every rule of this universe had come from her imagination.
Except now, it felt like the lines between fiction and reality had blurred.
And Abeer Rathore was the one person she couldn't control.
