Chapter 279 - Get the Collaboration

Yun Xiangxiang was planning on going back to campus the next day. She sorted out her items, putting the gifts she would give to her roommates aside.

She noticed the three boxes of jewelry. Yun Xiangxiang didn’t manage to examine them after Bhamra gave her those.

She opened them and noticed that three different unembedded diamonds were lying within the boxes. A heart-shaped pink diamond weighing five carats, a black diamond weighing about three carats, and a pear-shaped yellow diamond weighing six carats were lying in the boxes.

These diamonds would fetch at least tens of millions of yuan. Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t just let them sit there. She took their photos and sent them to Percy, asking him to make them into jewelry.

She couldn’t sell gifts that someone else gave her. She would either wear it herself, or she could give them to someone else.

“Oh my God, Yun, where did you get these diamonds?” Percy immediately called Yun Xiangxiang after receiving the email.

“A friend gave it to me,” Yun Xiangxiang gave a vague answer.

“These diamonds belong to Bhamra!” Percy recognized it at a glance. “Yun, these diamonds may get you in trouble.”

As a world-renowned diamond company, MonRoe had to know all of the diamond merchants in the world and know them like the back of their hand.

Bhamra was famous for his cruel nature. MonRoe saw these diamonds before. Bhamra announced that he wouldn’t sell them to anyone.

Percy didn’t expect Bhamra to be the one who gave Yun Xiangxiang these diamonds, since she had nothing to do with Bhamra.

His first thought was that someone stole these from Bhamra and sold them in the black market, ending up in Yun Xiangxiang’s hands.

If Bhamra saw this, he would do anything to get the diamonds back, even to severely punish those who dare steal his diamonds.

Yun Xiangxiang thought of Bhamra. He was a humorous, generous man. And he looked like he was in his twenties, even though he was actually in his forties now.

Noticing Percy’s fear of Bhamra, Yun Xiangxiang couldn’t imagine what a fierce Bhamra looked like.

But she knew that someone who could mine diamonds in such a lawless place must be someone extraordinary.

“Thank you for your concern, Percy. Bhamra gave me these diamonds himself,” Yun Xiangxiang had to explain herself.

Or else Percy wouldn’t dare to touch these diamonds. And he was the only top jewelry designer Yun Xiangxiang knew,

Qian Yongnian was a master jade sculptor, but that didn’t mean he knew how to embed diamonds.

“Oh my God!” Percy exclaimed incredulously. He had to take some time to breathe and calm himself before continuing. “I will make a trip to China myself to take these diamonds with me.”

“You don’t have to. Make your designs first. I’ll bring these to you the next time I go to New York.” Yun Xiangxiang wasn’t in a hurry. She only wanted to notify Percy and ask him to start on the designs.

“Okay, okay, okay.” Percy didn’t want to be the one who lost these diamonds. “What kind of accessory do you need?”

“It doesn’t matter. You call the shots.” Yun Xiangxiang didn’t mind. She wasn’t an expert either, so she didn’t want to give any opinions.

Yun Xiangxiang hung up and went to take a shower. She was back on campus the next day.

Tao Manni and the girls pounced on Yun Xiangxiang the moment they saw her. “How dare you leave us for three months, woman!”

“And here we were worried about you. Finally, care to come back early?”

“You must have placed a spell on us. We can’t ever forget about you even if we tried.”

“Yeah, thanks to this beauty spell. You won’t forget me once you see my face,” Yun Xiangxiang inched closer to the girls.

‘Annoying!” Feng Xiaolu pushed Yun Xiangxiang’s face away. “You seem to be prettier now.”

Women would be at their prettiest from sixteen to twenty-six. It was natural for Yun Xiangxiang to get prettier every day.

“Thanks to the love I got from my boyfriend,” Yun Xiangxiang held her face, looking smug.

“Take that back, and we can still be roomies,” said Tao Manni coldly.

“Go back to your filming and don’t come back,” Feng Xiaolu turned away and pointed at the door. Disgust was written on her face.

“Then, I’m leaving. Don’t regret it, girls.”

“You can leave, but the bag stays,” Ma Linlin cut to the chase.

“You girls are after my money?” Yun Xiangxiang was on guard.

“Not just money. We want your body too!” Tao Manni pounced at Yun Xiangxiang.

Yun Xiangxiang dodged to the side. Feng Xiaolu assisted Tao Manni. “How dare you show your love with your boy the moment you get back here. You’re getting too far! We’re going to teach you a lesson!”

“Save me, Linlin. I’ll give the best gift to you,” Yun Xiangxiang immediately called out to Ma Linlin.

Ma Linlin changed sides because of the gift. The girls chased around for a while before settling down.

Yun Xiangxiang gave them the gifts she had prepared. She even saved some for the girls next door. There were food and souvenirs.

Nobody asked Yun Xiangxiang why she went to El Dorado. They assumed she went for work. That was an actress’s life in their eyes.

The finals were four days away. Tao Manni immediately gave Yun Xiangxiang the latest notes and the highlights the lecturer reminded them about.

Yun Xiangxiang spent the next four days in the lecture halls, dorm, and the library. She used her time to revise all the notes of this semester.

She was lucky she made progress during her filming. If she didn’t know something, she would ask Song Mian to teach her during their video call session.

She didn’t feel pressured. The four girls did their best to study. It was a peaceful period.

A day before her finals, Yun Xiangxiang received a call from Austin. Austin asked hesitatingly, “Yun, can I tell Bhamra that you have our company’s shares?”

“You’re trying to collaborate with Bhamra?” Yun Xiangxiang could guess MonRoe’s goal.

“Yes. He produces a large number of diamonds. We have been trying to get him to be our long term collaborator. It’s a shame he never agreed to it.” There was regret in Austin’s voice.

If MonRoe could get into a long-term collaboration with Bhamra, they wouldn’t need to worry about the diamond supply. It would be a big boon to their operations.

Austin knew about the rare diamonds Bhamra gave Yun Xiangxiang yesterday. Percy told him. Bhamra would only do this for his most esteemed guests.

Austin didn’t know why Yun Xiangxiang became Bhamra’s esteemed guest, but he hoped Yun Xiangxiang could help them increase their chances of success.

“You can tell him that. But I hope you’ll give him the best terms in this collaboration. Bhamra is my friend,” Yun Xiangxiang accepted this proposal.

Bhamra’s diamonds needed to be sold one way or another. He would need to supply them to someone. As long as MonRoe didn’t take advantage of Bhamra, Yun Xiangxiang thought that it was fine for them to use her as leverage,

Everyone needs friends in business. Everyone would use connections to gain an unfair advantage.

“Don’t worry. We will show our greatest sincerity,” Austin guaranteed.

Yun Xiangxaing trusted MonRoe’s reputation and Austin’s character. She was one of its shareholders. Austin was showing a great deal of respect by asking for her permission.
