Chapter 66 - Testing Some Skills

Once they got home, Ai Li and Song Qian followed Yun Xiangxiang to stay at her place. Even though Coco and the others were her personnel, their accommodation wasn’t within her jurisdiction. They lived in a condo that the company had arranged for them.

“This yoga room isn’t bad. It can be modified to be your training room,” Song Qian expressed her satisfaction after she sized Yun Xiangxiang’s house up, “But you have to let Ai Li reinstall the security system.”

“I have registered your fingerprints at the gate. Do whatever you need with the house.” Since she didn’t know a thing about these stuff, she did not raise any opinions on it. “I’ll clean up Little Lin’s room. You two might have to live in the single rooms without any bathroom.

She needed to treat both of them equally. Yun Xiangxiang let Little Lin live in the master room that had a bathroom and toilet. The other two could only share the bathroom and toilet that was outside of the room, which was located in the middle of the two rooms.

“It’s okay. We don’t really mind these. Your house is not bad,” Song Qian and Ai Li weren’t picky about this.

Yun Lin’s school reopened a few days earlier. He was still at He Wei’s place. Even though she had Wang Yong and Coco come back early to take care of him and video called every day, Yun Xiangxiang still worried about the eleven year-old child who was away from his family for the first time. That was why she hurried back one day earlier.

It was a shame that she wasn’t eighteen yet. She couldn’t take the test for her driving license and could only wait for next year. That was why she couldn’t pick Yun Lin up with a car.

Wang Yong quickly arrived at Yun Xiangxiang’s house with bags of ingredients that included all kinds of seasonings. He started filling up Yun Xiangxiang’s fridge and kitchen dutifully before preparing the meal.

“You can only hire hourly housekeepers here, not nannies,” Song Qian looked at Wang Yong before saying to Yun Xiangxiang, “I’ll contact them.”

“You’ll call the shots in this house, Miss Butler.” Yun Xiangxiang tossed a bottle of mineral water that she took out from the fridge to Song Qian.

“I like obedient people the most.” Song Qian was satisfied about how she was getting along with Yun Xiangxiang.

Yun Xiangxiang was an opinionated person. However, she knew how to respect people. As long as it was something she didn’t understand, she wouldn’t say too much to interfere in it. What was important was to trust them fully. It would be fun getting along with this kind of people

He Wei sent Yun Lin himself to the house at night. Song Qian opened the door. She couldn’t help but size the both of them up.

“Brother Wei, this is Song Qian. She and Ai Li are my bodyguards,” Yun Xiangxiang introduced them hastily. “Qianqian, this is my agent, He Wei.”

“Female bodyguards?” He Wei paid great importance to the people around Yun Xiangxiang. Especially those who were responsible for her safety.

Song Qian swept her nonchalant attitude away under He Wei’s judgmental eyes. Her gaze became sharp.

Both of them were serious with their gaze locked onto each others at the same time. He Wei did not try to escape. Song Qian surprisingly didn’t lock He Wei down.

“Interesting,” He Wei’s lips curled. He bent his arm and his elbow flew straight toward Song Qian.

Song Qian instantly loosened her restraint on him. She used both of her hands to lock his arm down. They were already exchanging blows with their feet at a blistering speed.

Yun Xiangxiang pulled Yun Lin who had an excited expression away. She was awestruck. She didn’t know that He Wei was this skilful in her previous life. Even Ai Li who heard the commotion came out and stood at one side, crossing her arms to spectate.

Both of them fought from the entrance to the outside of the house. They fought enthusiastically in front of the wide elevator. It was even more amazing than a martial arts film.

In the end, both of them quickly stopped just when the elevator came to a halt and was about to open. There was only one resident per story in this residence. It was either someone pressing the button wrongly or that someone was looking for Yun Xiangxiang. Xue Yu came out of the elevator once its doors opened.

Xue Yu looked at He Wei whose clothes were in a mess and was sweating from his forehead. He then swerved his gaze to Song Qian who was tidying up her attire. He looked at Yun Xiangxiang who was standing at the entrance with a bewildered expression, “What happened here?”

“Brother Wei was testing my bodyguard’s skills.” Yun Xiangxiang answered honestly.

Xue Yu’s eyes actually shone, “You’re saying that this beauty made Brother Wei look like this?”

He had followed He Wei for more than ten years. Naturally he knew about He Wei’s abilities. He Wei was someone who took part in a training regime for special agents. If he wasn’t the He Family’s second wife’s sole heir who was taken back by He Wei into Huan Yu Century Entertainment, he would have to enter a more dangerous line of work.

“Sister Qianqian is awesome,” Yun Lin answered immediately before adding, “Brother Wei is also awesome.”

“Everyone, please come in quickly.” Yun Xiangxiang welcomed them.

“Junior, junior, where did you hire these awesome bodyguards from? Introduce them to your brother,” Xue Yu came over at once.

“Er,” Yun Xiangxiang looked at Song Qian who went to take a towel to wipe her face and Ai Li who was always aloof, “My friend introduced them to me.”

“Which friend?” He Wei was also wiping his hair with a dry towel. He could roughly guess where Song Qian and Ai Li came from.

Yun Xiangxiang didn’t want to lie to He Wei. She could only look at Song Qian.

“The Song Family,” Song Qian didn’t hide it. Both of them were going to be closely related to Yun Xiangxiang after this. It would be for the best if they knew each other’s backgrounds. This was to prevent them from being wary toward one another if something happened.

Even He Wei’s expression changed. He swerved his head and looked at Yun Xiangxiang.

Yun Xiangxiang thought that He Wei should have heard of the Song Family given his status. Xue Yu who followed He Wei for so many years must have heard He Wei mentioning them, “It might probably be the Song Family you guys are thinking about.”

There was only one Song Family that stood at the apex of China, no, it should be the world. Besides, he already knew Song Qian’s skills. He would have lost to Song Qian if it wasn’t for Xue Yu’s interruption.

“Junior, I won’t dare to say that I am taking care of you after this. Please take care of me!” Xue Yu who finally calmed down said.

They didn’t dare to ask Yun Xiangxiang about which core member of the Song Family she was now involved with. However, if they could send two people just to protect Yun Xiangxiang, then her status was obvious. It wasn’t a debt that could be paid for by money.

“What happened between the both of you?” He Wei thought deeper.

“Can you men have cleaner thoughts?” Song Qian was already rampaging before Yun Xiangxiang could react.

“It’s not what you think, Brother Wei. I only helped him. I also want to hire bodyguards after this. He then recommended Song Qian and Ai Li to me.”

Yun Xiangxiang grabbed Song Qian hurriedly to explain. She couldn’t blame He Wei for thinking that way. Given her status, it would be abnormal to not think that way if she suddenly got involved with these kind of people.

In reality, He Wei had to know these things as her agent, “I pay their salaries myself. I still call the shots for my business.”
