Nani? (Chapter 12)

I Hate You! (Killua Zoldyck x Fem. Reader) DISCONTINUED

A/n: (N/N) means Nickname

Previously:

So if Gon is disqualified, wouldn't that render the rest of our upcoming fights completely meaningless?" Hanzo pleaded. He does make a point but what if Gon does accept it? I thought thoroughly.

-Nani?-

"You've no need to. Gon has certainly passed. Nothing he says or does will change that now." Netero said. I hear Kurapika and Leorio sigh as he kept talking, "As a matter of fact, he could even throw a fit and kill me where I stand, but we still wouldn't be able to revoke his license."

"Yes, I see," Hanzo says as he walks towards the crowd. "So why? Why'd you let him win?" Killua said. I walk towards him. "What did you say?" Hanzo asked. "You didn't have to kill him. With your skills, you could've made him surrender...somehow." Killua explained. I pull on his turtleneck. "Be quiet Killua-Kun." I said but, he ignored me.

"I expect, when I torture someone, my victim will despise me for the rest of their life. It's more effective and less stressful. When you're in pain, your eyes show a gleam of hostility towards the person reasonable. Even with the most extensive training and discipline, that sign of rage is difficult to suppress." He looked at me and back at Killua.

"But Gon's eyes had no such gleam. Can you believe that? I had just broke his arm. But I could tell just by looking into his eyes that he had already forgotten all about it. So I guess you could say the little guy won me over. If you need a reason why I 'let him win' there you have it." He explained thoroughly. I sigh. Killua looked upset though.

"Begin!" The referee said. I was getting a bit tired after watching all of the fighting going around and I decided to lean on Kurapika's arm. Luckily he didn't move. (Illumi would always move when I ever did that to him) Killua was standing there across "Pinhead".

Killua started to walk slowly towards Pinhead. Out of nowhere, Pinhead says, "It's been a while, Kil." I immediately jump when he said that. I went closer to the wall. He started to take the pins off his head. I and Killua were terrified when I saw Illumi. Talk about catfished.

"Big brother?" Killua and I

said at the same time. "Why is he here?" I said out loud. "Hey Illumi said with his emotionless face. "He's Killua and (Y/N)'s brother?" Leorio asked. "Those needles were used to change his appearance?"

I wasn't on Kurapika anymore. I had my right hand on the wall. "I heard you and (N/N) stabbed Mom and Milluki and I heard (N/N) laughed a bit." He said. "Guess so," Killua said. "Mom couldn't stop crying." Illumi tilted his head. "Well, who would blame her?" Leorio asked. "I would!" I said. "Anybody'd cry if their kid did that."

"She was just so happy." Illumi looked at me I roll my eyes and I watch Leorio fall. "She was delighted to see that her son and daughter-in-law had finally grown up." Illumi continued. The Zoldyck's would always consider me as a family member yet, they always treated me differently.

"But she's concerned about you two being out on your own and she asked me to check up on you when I got the chance. Lucky me, huh? I had absolutely no idea that you guys wanted to be hunters. As for me, I'm here to get a license for a job that's coming up."

"I don't actually want to become a hunter. I just felt like taking the Exam." Killua whispered a bit. "I see...Well, that's a relief. In that case, I have some advice for you. You're not cut out to be a Hunter." Illumi confronted.

"You two were born for one purpose: To be assassins. You are a puppet of darkness, devoid of passion. Nothing you desire nor is there anything you wish for. As for the one who lives in the shadows, The only pleasure you're capable of derived from causing death. Because that's how dad and I raised you. What do you imagine what you would accomplish by becoming a Hunter?"

"It's true. I don't really want to be a Hunter. But... everyone wants something. Even me and (Y/N)." Killua had his head down. "You don't." Illumi denied. "Wrong! There is something I really want!" Killua confessed. "Hmm...Enlighten me. What is it that you want?"

Killua gasps and puts his head down. "Hmm... What's the matter? There really isn't anything, is there?" Illumi uttered. "There is!" I say out of impulse. Illumi looks at me with his emotionless black eyes. "I...want to be...friends with Gon. I'm...I'm just so sick of killing people. I want to be friends with Gon's and just have fun."

"Impossible." Illumi assumed. "You are incapable of friendship. The only thing that you can do is discern whether or not you can kill them. That is all you were ever taught. Gon is such a radiant personality that you don't know how to classify him. You don't actually desire his friendship."

"No..." Killua tried to argue. "If you stay with him, one day you'll end up wanting to kill him. You'll wonder if you can. Because, you are, by nature, a murderer." Illumi lectured. Leorio and I step forward. "We've warned you already, sir." One said. "Yeah, yeah I know. Killua! I couldn't care less if this guy's your brother, all right? He's a worthless piece of crap! So don't listen to him! Just beat the crap out of him like usual and win!"

"You want to become friends with Gon? Are you kidding me? You're already friends! How do you not know that?!" He yelled. "Because I was his only friend Leorio," I whispered. "Gon sure seems to think so anyway!"

"Is that true?" Illumi asked. "Hell yeah, it's true, you idiot!" Leorio screamed. "Oh no, that isn't good. So he already considers Kil a friend. Fine. Then I'll just kill Gon!" I step back I bit. "No! You can't do that!" I yelled. "Assassins have no use for friends. They only get in the way. Where can I find him?" He asked. Killua just stood there.

"Please, wait a second! The match is still-" the examiner couldn't even finish his sentence before Illumi struck him by needles. "Where?" He asked again. "He's in the waiting room right over there..." He called to the floor. "Thank you." Illumi walked to the door. Kurapika, Leorio, Hanzo, and I stood in front of the door.

"Oh what a pain. I need to acquire a Hunter's license right now so I can do my job. But if I kill them I'll fail and then Kil will pass automatically. Oh, no! The same thing will happen if I kill Gon. Hm...wait! I'll pass the Exam and then kill Gon!" I grunt and I block the door. "You bastard." Leorio grunts.

"If I pass the Exam first, I can kill everyone here and still keep my license, isn't that right." He asked. I crossed my fingers Netero says no. "Well...yes, according to the rule book." Netero admits. "Did you hear that, Kil and (N/N)? If you really want to save Gon, you're going to have to beat me." He walks towards Killua. "Will you fight me to save your friend? You can't do it, can't you?"

"Because deep down, you're more worried about whether you can defeat me than anything else, aren't you?" Illumi was now near Killua. Killua gasps. "And...you already know the answer. 'I'm not strong enough to beat my big brother.' Remember the lesson I drilled into you? Never go up against a superior opponent."

Killua tries to back away. "Don't move! Move one move inch, and I'll assume the fight has begun. The same goes for (N/N). The same also goes if our bodies come in contact with each other. The fight starts. There is only one way to stop me, and you know it." His hands go towards Killua's forehead. "But don't forget, If you decide that you won't fight me, your dear Gon will certainly die."

I tried to clear my head a bit but all I hear was Leorio screaming, "Take him out, Killua! We'll protect you! He won't kill you or Gon!" I cover my mouth to prevent saying something I would regret. I felt like I was going to pass out. His nen was overflowing the room. "We'll do whatever he has to do to stop him! Go on! Let him have it!" Soon enough Killua puts his head down. "You win, Illumi. I admit defeat." Everyone gasped.

"Killua!" I yelled. "Oh, excellent! No need for us to fight then, huh?" He laughs and pats Killua's shoulder. "I lied, Kil. I was never going to kill Gon. That was only a test to see what you were made of. And now I know for certain." Illumi gently pays Killua's head and whispers something. He left and I went straight to Killua. "You ok?" I asked holding his shoulders. He didn't say anything. The examiners took me to where everyone was and I had to watch the next match.

"Begin!" He backs up. They stand there and I watch Killua murder the old man. I run to Killua. "Killua! What did you do?" I yelled trying to heal the man. "He didn't do anything to us!" I applied force to the wound. I usually don't care what Killua did if they did something to us but, this old man was pure.

"Killua answer me!" I walk towards him. I knew the man was dead at the moment. I take out I baby wipe and I take the blood off his hands. He picks me up and starts to leave. "Give my Hunter license to Gon! Killua let go of me!" After that, we left.

~Time skip~

We get on a tourist bus and I pay them. Killua wasn't holding me anymore. He just sat near the window and kept to himself. I was sitting next to him reading fanfic on Wattpad. "(Y/N)." He finally said. I sit up and smile. "Do I deserve Gon? Am I made to kill people?" He consulted. "Yeah. I could tell he wants to be your friend and I think people have their own lives." I smile. "Hm." He hummed as he looks at the window.

"Are you going to get tortured again? I hate seeing you like that." I look down so he doesn't see my hidden tears. "Probably but, I don't care. Milluki is weak anyway." I feel him hug me and he pulls me closer to him and he goes back to watching what was outside the window. "Killua why couldn't you just stand up to your brother?" I thought.

He hugs me as we watch the world move away from us.
