Heavens x Arena! (Chapter 15)

I Hate You! (Killua Zoldyck x Fem. Reader) DISCONTINUED

A/N: In case I use this word wrong, I am pretty sure vented means to explain feelings so enjoy the story 😌

Previously:

"Thank you! What is the Heavens Arena?" Gon asked me. "I'll explain later but, we really ought to get going now!" Killua abruptly takes my hand and we start to head inside. "Right!" Gon runs up to me. "Get off me!" I yell bashfully.

-Heavens x Area!-

I was sitting next to Gon when he starts to yell. "Whoa! Look, it's huge!" I jump and I see Heavens Arena. "Oh yeah," I said a bit uninterested. "That's Heavens Arena. It's two 251 stories and 991 meters tall making it the world's fourth-tallest building."

"So, this is where we'll be training..." Gon said cheerfully. "Well, the tickets we bought to get us here, left us two completely broke. We've gotta make more while we're here. We'll start fresh when we disembark." Killua explained.

"Right! I got it." Gon nods. "Me too," I said yawning. "All right. Well?" Killua said. "Well, let's go!" I chuckled and ran out of the blimp. I run to the line and I put my headphones on.

~Time Skip~

"Welcome to the Heavens Arena. Now, if you wouldn't mind filling out this form..." The receptionist handed us forms. We quickly filled it out and handed it back to her. "Killua Zoldyck, you're number 2054. Gon Freecss, you are 2055. (Y/N) Zoldyck, you are 2056."

"On the first Arena floor, they'll be calling your number so try not to forget it." She says. "What? Pardon me but, I didn't put Zoldyck." I blushed. "I did." Killua winks and takes my hand. "Please go on ahead."

"Thank you." I waved. We left and entered the building. Gon gasps when he saw everyone cheering and people fighting. We sit down and Killua starts to talk again. "It's been a while, but the place hasn't changed."

"Wait...you mean you've been here before?" Gon asked. "Yeah. When we were about six. My dad left us here flat broke. Told me to reach the 200th floor. Took me two whole years." Killua watches the competition. "It took me only a year." I still came to watch Killua though." I smiled.

"There are guys of Hisoka's caliber but only farther up, so don't waste time. You got it?" Killua interrogated. Gon nods and I clap at the battle I was watching. "Numbers 1973 and 2055 to ring E." The announcement said. "2055! That me!"

"Oh man, I'm getting pretty nervous right about now." Gon puts his bag down. "Gon you made it through the Testing Gate, right?" Killua asked. "So relax. Go out there and push hard!" Killua smiled. Gon leaves and gets into the ring. People start to yell at Gon telling him to go home and to run while he had the chance.

"This is a first-floor fight so we will be appraising your skill levels. You're allowed three minutes to demonstrate what you're capable of. Now then...Begin!" The guy backed up. I'm really sorry, kid. But I'll make it fast, so you don't have to suffer!" Gon's opponent said.

He tried to punch shin but he dodges. Gon counters the hit by pushing him into the wall. "Nice!" Killua said. "Honestly I am not even surprised he took you seriously." I rolled my eyes. People started talking again about how amazing Gon is.

~Time Skip~

Killua slashes someone's neck causing them to faint. More rumors started going around. I already went by kicking them in the stomach. I had all of their bags piled against my back. Killua gets up and we go on the elevator. I noticed a small boy following us to the elevator but I pushed it aside.

"The first 200 floors of Heavens Arena are divided into classes, ten floors each. Which means that a fighter who wins on the 50th floor, advances to the 60th. Lose and they automatically drop down to the 40th floor." The guide explained. "So that's how it works..." Gon mummers.

"Also..." Killua got interrupted by the boy behind us. "I heard once you get all the way to the 100th floor, they comp you your very own room!" The boy gossiped. We turned around and he smiles. "Oh! I'm sorry, how impolite!"

"You don't say..." I whispered loudly enough for the two boys to hear. Gon nudged my arm. "Osu! My name is Zushi! And you?" He asked. "I'm Killua." Killua smiled. "I'm Gon! Nice to meet you!"

"I am (Y/N)! Nice to meet you I guess." I smiled. Zushi blushed but I shrug it off. "Here we are." The guide said as the door opens. "Oh, I watched your fights earlier. You guys are good! (Y/N) was amazing too!" Zushi shared. "What are you talking about?" Killua asked. "You made it up here with only one match, too."

"He's right!" Gon pointed out the obvious. "No, no. I still have a long way to go. By the way, what discipline do you practice?" He asked. "I study the Shingen-Ryu technique." Zushi smiled at me. "A discipline? Don't have one." Killua looks at Gon. "Nope."

"You're kidding! You're both that powerful with no formal training? I'm humbled to be in your presence." He looked disappointed. "It's ok! You will get there!" I smiled trying to defeat my social anxiety. I was only comfortable with people I want to talk to.

"You're right! I've come a long way, but I'm not finished!" Zushi bowed. I turn to see Killua look a bit jealous even though he was trying to hide it. Someone started to clap their hands and I look behind us. "Zushi!" The man came over to us. "You did well." He cheered. The other two turn to see the black-haired man. "Thank you, Master!"

"I'm very happy to see that you stuck to my teachings." The teacher put forth. "Osu! I am honored!" Zushi bowed. "But Master your shirt's untucked." Zushi noticed. "Oh! Sorry about that." The gentleman fixed his presence and nervously giggled. "Who are they?" He asked.

"Oh. This is (Y/N), Killua, and Gon." He introduced us. "Pleasure to meet you. My name is Wing." He said. "Osu!" We all bowed to show respect."I really wasn't expecting to see any other kids here besides Zushi." He informs. "So, what brings the two of you here?" Wing added.

"Uh, we-" I interrupt Killua "We want to become stronger..." I smiled. "But, we are also broke, so we're making money at exactly the same time." Killua finished. "Yeah. Killua and (Y/N)'s been here before, sir." Gon put out. "That right?" Wing assured.

"You must be quite talented or else you wouldn't have made it to this level. Even so, pay close attention to your opponent's body and your own." He advised. We bowed again, "Osu!" We go to the counter and we tell her our names.

"Killua, (Y/N), Gon and Zushi...Ah, there you are. Hand me your tickets, please." We give her our tickets and she takes them. She gives us golden packets. "Here. This is your prize money from earlier tonight. We empty them into our hands. "152 Jenny..." Gon counted. Killua and I order a juice.

"On this floor, you make enough for a juice, win or lose. But on all of the floors here, a loss gets you nothing. Winning on the 50th floor earns fifty thousand." Killua opens his drink. "Fifty thousand?!" Gon exclaimed. "That's a lot of money!" Zushi smiled.

Killua drinks his juice and resumes the lecture. "The 100th floor, I think you get a million." Gon and Zushi look at each other surprised. "Once you're past the 150th floor, you get ten million," Killua added. "Ten million? Didn't you guys make it to 200th floor before?" Gon asked. "Whoa! The 200th floor?"

I started to play with my diamond bracelet. It was a little big but I didn't mind. "How much do you get for winning on the 200th floor?" Gon questioned. "To tell you the truth, I don't actually know that because I quit pretty much as soon as I qualified for it. But when I won on the 190th floor, I had around 200 million total."

"Two hundred..." Zushi whispered. "Where's that money now?" Gon interrogated. "That was four years ago, so it's long gone by now. I spent most of it on snacks and I bought (Y/N) a few things...like the bracelet she has on right now." He looks at my wrist.

I blushed in embarrassment. "Yeah..." I scratch my head lightly. "That much on snacks in four years?" Gon whispered. "What kind of snacks were they?" Zushi gossiped. Killua threw his drink out and I open mine. "Hey. Let's head up to the waiting room. We got through our match's unscathed on the first floor." Killua informed them.

"They'll probably give us another one today." Killua and I started to walk away. "Man...I don't wanna see my princess getting hurt today..." I heard Killua say under his breath. "You act like I am weaker than you." I rolled my eyes. "But you can get hurt." He looked a bit serious. "Really? How?" I asked.

"Hmm...for example...you can fall." He pointed out. "Yeah right." I started to pay closer attention to my feet. I take a sip of my drink and I look for the waiting room. I feel one of my hands getting warmer and I look at it. "Why are you holding my hand Mr. Zoldyck?" I questioned. "It looked heavy so, I decided to hold it for you." He smiled.

"Um...Thanks?" I blushed and smiled. Killua opens the door. There was a bunch of men starting at us and I tried to find at least one girl here. "Well, if these guys are our opponents, it'll be a cinch." I sit next to Killua and I sit with my legs crossed. "Just take it easy." Killua comforts. "Really?"

"Killua!" Zushi whispered. "Quiet! They can hear you!" Zushi whispered. "Ok?" I stand on the bench to grab everyone's attention. "WHOEVER WE ARE GOING AGAINST IS GOING TO THE 40TH FLOOR." I sit back down and I see Killua and Zushi looking the other way. I then hear grumbles. I laugh and I go to the bathroom to change.

"2054, Mister Killua." I jump from the sudden announcements. "Hey, I'm already up." Killua noticed. "And 1963, Mister Zushi." I look at Killua and he was...smiling? "Please head to Arena A on the 57th floor." She ordered. "Okay." Killua looked at him. "Osu! I am honored to face you!" Zushi bowed.

"I bet...Well, you can't win 'em all." He sounded confident. I elbowed his arm and he got up. "Better luck next time, right?" Killua walks away. "Yeah. Best of luck to both of you guys!" Gon cheered. They walk to the door and Killua leaves us with, "I'll wait for you guys on the floor above. Bye."

"He didn't have to act like it was such a done deal." Gon whispered. "I know right. He is being so rude to Zushi." I hissed. "He's probably jealous." Gon informed me. "What?! Baka!" I cover my face to hide my crimson red.

~Time skip~

"2056, Miss (Y/N) and 1986 Mister Adam. Head to Arena C on the 75th floor." The speaker cuts off. "Well, I will be off." I go to the arena. He walks over to the ring and waves hi. He looked like a teenager and he had short blue hair. "Heyo!" He smiled. "Um...Hi?" I replied.

~Mini time skip~

"Begin!" The man yells. I run to the man and I kick his stomach. He keeps my foot where I kicked him. "Sorry, It's going to take a lot more than th-" He gets cut off when I kick him on top of his head. He passed out but, still keeps his grip. I was standing on his and I immediately try to squirm out of his grasp.

"The winner is (Y/N)!" I hear some boos and I roll my eyes. I get out and I kick the boy out of the ring. He's not even cute, how was he the favorite among the crowd? I take my paycheck from the front desk and I watch Gon and Killua's matches on the tv.

~Time skip~

The elevator opens and Killua walks out. "Oh hey! Killua!" Gon tries to get his attention. "Over here!" I wave my hand. Gon walks over to him and takes out his paycheck. "Check it out! I got 60,000. How about you? It took longer to get here than I expected." Gon asked. "Yeah, I ran into some trouble."

We started walking away. "So...was Zushi pretty strong or what?" I asked. "No way!...No," Killua said annoyed. "He had potential. He'll be strong...one day." Killua added. "For now, anyway, he's just target practice for me. Punches that weak, I could knock him out easy."

"But you didn't." I reminded him. "I know...I couldn't beat him." Gon gasped. "I won the match. TKO by points. But still, I just couldn't knock him out. Also...when he changed his stance, I got this creepy feeling, like when I face my brother." He vented.

"I don't know what it was, but it felt...dangerous. It's gotta be some kind of technique." He faces us. "I heard his master call it 'Ren." He confessed. "Really?" I said trying to act surprised. I couldn't tell him anything about nen. He sits down and thinks it over.

"Gon, I think something is wrong with Killua," I whispered. "You're worried about him? Do you...I don't know...Like him?" He stepped closer to me. "Baka! Of course not!" I yell a little too loud. "I mean you are always concerned about if Killua going to get hurt." He reminds me.

"Ok. Maybe his pick-up lines got the best in me." I blushed. "Plus he is always kind to you and he respects you." Gon elbowed my arm. Gon smirks and sits next to him. "So, he's not supposed to use Ren? Until he gets all the way up to the top floor, I mean?" Gon raised a question.

"That's where the strongest fighters are, right? At the top?" Gon added. "Gon. We need to change our game plan. I say we shoot for the top floor." He looked serious. "Right!" Gon nods. I show a faint smile.

~Announcements~

"Killua defeats another opponent with one chop for a knockout win! Now there's action over in the next arenas. Gon has knocked out another opponent with a single push! (Y/N) also knocked out her opponent using a solo kick!"

"Each of them has won six consecutive matches over the past there days, and they've reached the hundreds without even a scratch to show for it! Killua's chop, Gon's push, and (Y/N)'s kick. They seem unstoppable but can they keep it up? But the real question is who if anyone can stop them?"

~Time skip~

"Yay! Our own room!" Gon jumps on his bed. "We're not gonna have to worry about money and lodging anymore!" Gon cheered. "I wouldn't be so sure. Drop below the 100th floor and you lose the room. There's a huge difference between getting here and staying here on the 100th floor. That's a real threshold." Killua told Gon.

"Threshold?"

"Beyond the 100th floor, you get special treatment and so, naturally, no one wants to lose their standing. There are people here who'll do anything it takes to stay on the 100th floor. You can waste a lot of time on 'em. Time we don't have right now." Killua walked to the window. "So be careful, Gon."

Gon nods his head. "Well. We will be going to our rooms. Good night!" I take Killua's arm and we head out. "Killua stop worrying Gon!" I said. "He needs to know what he signed up for." Killua shrugged.

"Well, goodnight!" I waved. "Goodnight!" Killua went into his room. I plop on my bed and I sigh. I took out my phone and I started to text Kurapika

I close the app and I hear a knock at the door. "It's 11:55, who would be here?" I groaned and I opened the door. "Hi." A familiar white-haired boy waved. "What are you doing here?" I leaned on the door frame. I was wearing an (f/c) oversized shirt and shorts that are halfway to the knee.

"I couldn't sleep." Killua rubs his head. "Can I come in?" He asked. "Sure." I let him through and he lays on the bed. "Bad kitty! You go on the couch!" I point to the couch. "Kitty?" He repeated. "Yeah now go on the couch," I ordered. "But I don't wanna!" He pouts.

I pull him to the couch so I can lay down.

"Goodnight!" I grumbled.

~Time Skip~

I open my eyes to see it was 3:27 and Killua was holding my hand tightly. "Why did I wake up so early?" I asked quietly. "Can you be quiet?" Killua whispers. I blushed. "Why aren't you on the couch?" I sat up. "Because the sofa was getting so uncomfortable!" He stretched and sat up.

"Then go back to your room. In your own bed!" I got off the bed and turned on the lamp. I crossed my arms. "What?! Why?" He sat up hastily. I became speechless and Killua smirked. "You don't want me to leave, do you?" He asked.

"I-I don't know." I felt a sudden rise of heat coming to my cheeks. "I am taking that as a yes." He laid back down. "Whatever. It's not like you would've left anyway." I said admittedly. "Also what's with the 'Kitty' nickname?" He asked.

"I don't know. It kind of fits you." I said. "Kind of but, it fits you way better!" He smiled. "I am not the one who turns half-cat all the time." I put my hands on my hips. He then grows cat ears and tail and makes his usual joking face. "I don't know what you mean."

I get on the bed and I push him a bit. "Stop lying!" I giggled. "Ok! Ok!" He laughed and laid back down. I followed and I now noticed the semi-loud music.

A new song fills the room. I couldn't fall asleep and it was already 5:20. Killua refused to let go of me so I couldn't do anything. "Killua, are you awake?" I asked. I didn't hear a reply and I sigh. I get up and I replace a pillow so he didn't wake up. "Alrighty!" I stroll to the closet and I grab some clothes. I smile as I come out the closet. I was wearing a black shirt and a flexible skirt (with shorts under of course).

~Time Skip~

Killua and I watch Gon push another opponent. "Guess you didn't need to worry about him." I smile.

~Another Time Skip~

Killua, Gon, and I won a few more times and we go to the front desk again "Your prize money has been deposited into your account." The woman said and I thank her. We started to walk away. "You were right. I've never seen so many zeros before. Crazy that just last week, I was totally broke." Gon hummed.

"I'm a little bit annoyed," Killua responded. "And why is that?" I asked. "Because it's around afternoon and you still haven't given me a kiss." He huffed. I laugh, "Ok, now what is the real reason?" I raised the question. "Fine, the first time I was here, it took me two whole months to reach floor 150. You the other hand..." Killua grumbled.

"Yeah, but back then, you were only six," Gon added. "Well yeah, there's that," Killua replied. "Oh, by the way, I saw Zushi on TV earlier." Gon informed us. "So did I, he still on the 50th floor but, I bet he will win a few rounds soon enough!" I cheered. "Yeah..." Killua whispered.

"I wonder what that 'Ren' thing was that creeped you out and why." Gon wondered. "Hmm...maybe we'll meet some opponents higher up who use it," Killua advised. "Or we can just ask Zushi," I acknowledged. His smile faded a little and he pats my head lightly.

~Time Skip (Again)~

"Ren is one of the four exercises. The four exercises are fundamental to all martial arts. They install discipline and develop character. Learn Ten, know Zetsu, through Ren to attain Hatsu! And all of that is how you train for Nen! That's it!" Zushi explained. "Start making sense!" Killua commanded.

"Zushi... Are you certain that you're sufficiently qualified to be teaching others?" Wing walked over to us. "Now Gon, Killua, (Y/N)...an old proverb warns that it's possible a smattering of knowledge may not reduce one's ignorance, but increase it." Wing acknowledged.

"So, you're saying a little knowledge is a dangerous thing? Thanks for the tip, but I really want to learn this. Because I'm convinced it's behind my brother's powers." Killua declined. "You say that your brother...is able to use nen?" Wing asked.

"I need to understand what Nen and Ren even mean and not just halfway! I need to know it." Killua continues. "If you're willing to teach me, I won't try to figure it out for myself." Killua finished. Wing looks at me and I smile to try to hide my guilt.

"Well, in that case...Let's adjourn to my room." He starts to walk away. "Come on (Y/N)!" Zushi smiled while faintly blushing. I follow them as the boys follow behind.
