Relearning x Nen (Chapter 16)

"Well, in that case...Let's adjourn to my room." He starts to walk away. "Come on Y/N" Zushi smiled while faintly blushing. I follow them as the boys follow behind.

-Relearning x Nen-

"Paying attention?" Wing asked us. "Nen, or flame, is a power that fires our souls. In other words, it's the strength of your will. And the four exercises is a training regimen that strengthens your will." Wing explained. "Strengthens your will?" Gon repeated. "Training?" Killua echoed. Wing writes something quickly. "Correct."

"Ten: focus the mind on a single point, reflect on the self and determine the goal."

"Zetsu: to put into words."

"Ren is to intensify you will."

"Hatsu is to release it into action."

Then Wing points at the words as Gon reads them. "See, Zushi tempered his 'Refusal to lose' during this battle with you, Killua." Killua's eyes were wide open and I look back at the blackboard. "Now allow me to demonstrate. Killua?" Killua hums in response. "For this demonstration, I would like to 'kill' you now."

"Is that alright?" Wing asked. "Sure, Why not." Killua agreed. "But you won't be able to." Killua declared. "Let's do this in order. First, Ten." Wing went into a squat with his fist crossed. "I focus my mind on a single point."

"Zetsu: Express your desired intent either mentally or verbally."

"I will kill you," Wing announced. I watched as the outline of his body started to glow. His aura soon floods the room and I use Ten to block his aura. Killua disappears and he stops Zetsu. I stop Ten too and I look up at the corner. "Killua get down!" I laughed a bit.

"That was a taste of Ren. With enough strength and focus, they will function as action or Hatsu. With a strong will, your opponent will back down. A more familiar term would be 'bluffing'." Wing explained. "Killua gets down and I (kind of) wanted him to say his usual pick-up lines like, "Can you help me up cause I fell for you." With his famous wink.

But it never happens. Zushi smiles at me and I wave. "Ten hardens that which is soft and you suddenly find that you've lost your ability to correct an incorrect idea. Therefore, until your soul has fully matured, avoid using Ren. As it stands now, you four students should really focus on training your souls."

Killua looked furious but I let it slide. "Let's go, Gon." He started to walk away. "If you truly wish to learn about Nen, set your sights on mastering Ten first. If you master Ten, you no longer feel the pressure of an opponent's will." Wing explains. Gon and Killua start to leave but I stay behind. "Thank you! Osu!" I bow and smile. "Y/N if you know about Nen then why didn't you inform them about it?" He asked.

"Not allowed." I shrugged and waved goodbye. "She's really smart, Sir!" I hear Zushi say in the distance. They both were about a quarter of a mile in front of me. I put my hands behind my head and I walk behind them.

~Time Skip~

I go into my room and sigh. I put on the tv and I change. I take a couple of sips of water and I brush my teeth. Suddenly, I hear knocking. "Come in!" I yelled. I hear the door open with the following close. I walk out to see Killua. "What are you doing here?" I asked. He looked upset. I sit next to him and stayed silent for a while.

"Are you mad at me?" Killua asked quietly. "No. Why would you think that?" I asked. "I don't know." He sounded like he was holding back tears. I didn't know what to do. "How do you spell happiness?" I asked him.

"H. A. P. P. I. N. E. S. S. Why do you ask?" He looked up at me. "Mine us spelled Y. O. U.," I said while blushing a beet red. "Can I hug you, My Lady?" He asked. I hold out my arms and he clings onto me. "I'm the best at pick-up lines," I declared. He sniffs and looks at me. "But you need to work on your timing." He asserted then, stuffing his face onto my stomach gently. "Sure I do." I roll my eyes and I look at my phone.

"One second Kitty," I said as I open the notification.

Killua took my phone and put it on the other side of the bed. He looked even more upset. I get up and I go outside. "Hey! My Lady wait up!" He runs towards me. "Try to catch me!" I said as I giggled. I ran over to the shops and restaurants and Killua was following close behind. I quickly disappear into the alleyway as I watch Killua pass me.

I giggle and I relax on the wall. I close my eyes for only a second and as I open my eyes Killua was in front of me. "Wha...when?" I asked him. He had his head down while avoiding eye contact. We stood there for what felt like hours.

I try to leave but, he came closer and blocked me from leaving using his hand. He still was looking down. I got really flustered. "Why are so mad, Kitty?" I asked. "I feel like you are ignoring me sometimes." He stated. "I was just with you earlier!" I yelled. "You talked to me for a minute and then went on your phone." He glared at me.

"Are you jealous? Both Kurapika and Leorio are too old for me. Plus, Gon is my brother. Who could be jealous of?" I asked. He looked back down and didn't talk. I snap and smile. "It's Zushi isn't it? Look he is just a friend Kitty." I felt bad. He instantly hugs me. "You're such a needy cat when it's just us." I played with his hair. His cat traits pop out and I laugh. "Can we go back now? I was watching (F/S)." I asked

He backs away and nods. He looked a bit happier.

I fall on my bed and Killua sits on the closest chair. "Goodnight," I whispered as Killua looks at the clock. It's around 2:40.

"Ok. Goodnight My Lady." Killua turned to the TV.

It's time for the biggest match of the day! Two rookies have advanced to the 190th floor without losing a single fight! Gon, Killua, and Y/N! Will they be able to clear today's match in one shot, too? Okay, everyone! Get ready to press your wager buttons!

I walk into the ring to see a bald man in a sort of dress. "If you think you can simply kick me you are mistaken." He said confidently. When the battle began I kicked him harder than I should've.

~Time skip~

"Enjoy." The guide bowed as the elevator closed. I was shaking Gon's arm making him a bit dizzy. "I am so excited! I can't wait to fight some strong people!" I smiled. "The 200th floor!" Gon shouts as 199 turned to 200. "So, what's it like?" Gon asked us. "Beats me. Never actually been there. But I guess we're about to find out." Killua answered.

I run out and wait for the boys. We look around in silence until Gon shouts, "Wow! The 200th floor sure is fancy, huh?" I chuckle and Killua hugs me from behind. "Baka!" I push him away with a bright red face. "Where's reception?" I asked while looking around.

"Maybe this way?" Killua walked to the right. We walk behind him. "We finally made it!" I cheered. "Yeah!" Gon shouts with me. We turn to the corner and Killua and Gon stop. "What?" I asked. They looked scared and they didn't talk. "Ok weirdos." I use Ten and I walk into the hallway. The receptionist turned around the corner. She looked sick.

"You must be Killua, Y/N, and Gon. The reception desk is this way, so please register for a 200th match today. Be advised that your eligibility for this floor expires at midnight, so please don't delay. By the way, on the 200th floor, there are currently 173 contestants. And from this floor up, all weapons are allowed in all matches. So, please feel free to use whatever you have. Also, as of the 200th floor, you will no longer receive money. Now you will be fighting only for honor. Please keep that in mind, if you participate.

After a card appears and hits the floor. The lady runs away so all we saw was Hisoka. He turned to us and I show him a small wave. "Hi-Hisoka..." Killua whispers. "But what are you doing here?" He asked him. "It isn't strange, is it? I love to fight and this is a temple devoted to the craft. The real question is why are you here?" Hisoka asked.

"Why do you need to know?" I replied. "Just kidding...This meeting is no mere coincidence. I've been waiting for you. Remember how you order your tickets for the airship over the internet? With only a little effort on my part, I able to find out exactly when you would arrive. Well, in any case, I knew you would come here eventually. And so...as your senior, I have a little bit of a warning for both of you. You're still not ready to set foot on this floor. Not by a shot."

He shoots air, blowing Killua and Gon away. I was too slow so I was getting pushed away too. "When you will be, depends on your efforts. For now, leave this floor. It's far too early." Hisoka warned. "Wait. What! That's stupid! We just got here!" Killua yelled. I grabbed his shoulder gently. He tried to walk over but he couldn't.

"I won't let you pass. But it's not like you could anyway. They both start to freak out again and I looked at them confused. They tried to walk closer to Hisoka but, Wing appears. "Don't be reckless!" Gon turns around. "Mr. Wing!" I grumbled. "What he is saying is true. You have no defense with his nen." Wing states.

"Nen?" Gon repeats. "As it stands, You're both naked in a blizzard, if you continue to strain your bodies, you may die." Wing assured them. "So, this is nen?" Killua asked. "He can stop us from moving forward through willpower?"

"You liar!" Killua yelled. "Yes. I was lying. Though some of what I said was technically true. I will teach you the truth about nen. So for the time being, I suggest we withdraw." Wing recommended. "Uh 'scuse me..." Gon turn to the receptionist. "Oh yes?"

"If we don't register for a fight today, how would that affect us?" Gon asked. "Well, you would have to start all over again from the first floor. Killua and Y/N however...they've been here before and refused to register. So if they fail to do so again, their commitment will be called into question and they will be banned from participating." She informed us.

"Mr. Wing. If we withdraw, will we be able to make it back here by midnight?" Killua questioned. "That all depends on you."

~Time skip~

"-Simply put this is Nen. Nen refers to the ability to control your 'aura'. Which, as you may know, is also known as life energy. Everyone in the world has a small amount of life energy. But in most cases, it simply leaks away. The ability to build up and contain this life energy is known as Ten." Wing writes on his board.

I slip away from the room and I go back to Heaven's arena. I sign up for a match later tomorrow. I go to the gas station and I buy all the chocolate robots they had. I then lay 1/4 of them on Killua bed in his room. I go I to my room and I stash the rest. I come back and tans where I was before. Only Zushi and Wing noticed I moved.

I then started to pay attention. "-against other humans. For better or for worse. If you attack a helpless person with malice, you can kill using aura alone. Only one thing can protect you from a user of nen. You must learn to use it yourself and use Ten for defense. Block the other person's aura with your own. Otherwise..." He puts his hand on the wall.

As he conjures his nen, I block my ears. I look up to the the wall was smash into pieces. The boys looked shocked. "Your body will be shattered beyond all recognition." Wing explained.

"Wait. Y/N, why did you cover your ears?" Gon asked. "I thought it was going to be loud." I said. Gon nods and Killua looks at me with suspicion.
