Chapter nineteen
More reasons to stay
"Stay back. The kids would be so happy to see you in the morning..." I told him.
"Common show him to a room, I guess I'll be leaving you guys to spend the night together" she said with a smile.
"Goodnight mom" I voiced out.
"Goodnight, both of you" she said walking away.
"The baby, how long have you known?" he quietly asked staring at me as he moved closer to where I stood.
His hands fell on my waist dragging my body closer to his.
I didn't reply, but rather, I kissed him.
I had missed him, missed this and everything about us.
"I love you" he said breaking our little kiss as I just gave a loud chuckle biting my lower lips.
*****
It's been two months and finally our wedding day. It was going to be a perfect day. My baby bump was slightly noticeable but I didn't give two fucks about it. I was happy, finally I was getting what I wanted and deserve.
I stood in front of the mirror staring at myself in my wedding gown. I looked the best, I knew it. I gave a big smile and it showed my happiness.
The door to the room I was in opened and I looked at the doorway waiting for whoever it was to get in.
Few seconds later, Mason walked in looking as stunning as ever.
"You know it's bad luck if we see ourselves before our wedding" I said with a smile as he walked up to me.
"I know baby, but I just..." he began with a pause staring at me.
"You look amazing..." he pointed out under his breath.
"It's finally here" I said with an anxious tone turning around.
"You've always waited on this day" he quietly told me.
Soon enough, he was behind me holding unto my waist with his hands firmly on my stomach.
"I'm sorry for everything" he tried to apologize.
"It's fine..." I told him.
"I almost broke up our home"
And ever since he realized that mistake, he had always apologized. I couldn't stop telling him it was fine. He still had that guilt and still tried to apologize for it.
"Are you ready to get married?" he asked.
"I am..." I replied with a smile.
