Chapter 12

I looked down at my little one and saw she was fast asleep again. Slowly as possible, I laid down in her bed laying her next to me and brought the blanket over us. I kissed her cheek softly. Tomorrow we're having that conversation.

Brandy's POV

I woke up next to Lyla, I wondered why she was sleeping in my bed. Uh that's pretty unusual she doesn't sleep with me often. I thought poking her cheek slightly.

She shifted a bit, slowly opening her eyes. A small smiled formed upon her lips.

"Good morning baby." Lyla spoke sitting up.

"Mornin, uh, why in my bed?" I asked slightly confused.

"Well baby, you had a nightmare last night..You were screaming and flailing your arms and legs around, can you tell me what you were dreaming about?" She asked, carefully choosing the words she used.

I go up and ran into the bathroom locking the door behind me. I heard Lyla sigh. I didn't know she knew about my nightmare. That's embarrassing .

I started brushing my teeth. I know Lyla wants to talk and I know I need to tell her, but of course I'm dreading it.

"Baby can you come out please."

"I'm brushing my teeth I'll be out soon." I called out in between brushes.

I heard Lyla's footsteps depart and I continued to finish brushing my teeth following after washing my face.

Brandy's POV

Lyla and I sat on the couch, Grace coming to sit by me.

I took a deep breath, bringing up the past is one of the reasons I haven't been little. But I know I can trust Lyla.. Grace? She's crazy so I'm just hoping she doesn't do anything stupid.

"Well, Lucy was an old uh girlfriend? I wouldn't say she was my caregiver because when she found out I was a little she would 'play along' and be very demanding and abusive. Like one time she beat me because I was coloring my books and I accidentally got some marker on the floor." I explained to them looking down.

"We haven't talked since we broke up, it's been almost two years and she just showed up like nothing ever happened."

Lyla's eyes welled up with tears and she pulled me into a hug. I saw Grace's jaw tighten and I knew she was angry about the whole situation.

"But it's okay! I'm over it, besides I have you guys."

"You'll always have us baby." Lyla said kissing my forehead.

***TIME SKIP***

Lyla's POV

Brandy was down for her afternoon nap and Grace and I were watching TV.

"If that woman ever shows up again she won't leave here alive." Grace said still upset.

"Baby nooo, you're not killing anyone." I kissed her lips.

Grace laughed and kissed me back.

"It's almost 2:30, maybe we should take B to the park?" Grace proposed.

"Yeah sure, she could really use something fun like that right now."

"PARK?" Brandy squealed.

I turned around and saw Brandy peeking from behind the door.

"Baby you're supposed to be napping." Grace said picking the girl up.

"I sowy mama, jus woke ups an heard park, an I likes park." Brandy pouted.

Grace and I met eyes and we both smiled realizing Brandy didn't know what she had called Grace.

"Well let's get you ready then hun." I told her, taking her from Grace.

I took Brandy to her room, and set her on the bed.

Going into her little space closet, I grabbed her a red onesie with her denim overall skirt.

I quickly got her dressed and sat her down to do her hair. Which apparently I struggled as my baby is extremely tender headed. After ten minutes of crying, consoling, and kisses, I was able to get her hair into two pigtails. Next time I'll just refreshen her curls, I thought.

"You look beautiful my love, now can mommy get your shoes on?" I asked nicely, she was already upset with me because 'i was hurting her hair.'

"Nos! No no." Brandy said sniffling.

"B come on let your mommy get your shoes on." Grace said walking into the room.

Brandy just huffed and puffed.

I finally got her shoes on. We were now ready to go to the park.

HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII peopleeeeeeee, it's been a long ass time since I've updated this book, but I'm home sick so what else is there to do (even tho I'm not supposed to be on electronics) WE GOT 10K READERS so this short chapter is kinda in celebration to that.
