Chapter 16

"Chaeyoung-ie you look happy." Y/N noticed when she sat down next to her cousin to have breakfast.

"She's been like this ever since she started to go to art school." Tzuyu mentioned.

"You must really like it, huh?" Mrs. Chou asked.

"I like it a lot. This is a dream come true. The people, the school, everything is just so nice." Chaeyoung smiled.

"I wish I had done this earlier. If I had known you would be this happy, I would've done it earlier." Y/N messed up Chaeyoung's hair.

"Unnie, how did you get me in though? It's not easy to get into that school, especially in the middle of the semester." Chaeyoung questioned.

"Don't worry about it, Chaeyoung-ah." Y/N shrugged it off. Let's just say that she had to pull some strings to get her in. The last name Chou is really useful to get what she wants.

"Where's dad?" Y/N asked.

"He's still sleeping. He struggled to fall asleep at night." The mother said.

"Again? He should go see a doctor." Ever since the man got a burnout he isn't doing well.

"I'll bring him to the doctor later."

"Perfect. Anyways, I need to go to work now." Y/N stood up.

"But you didn't eat anything." Y/N's mother said.

"I'll eat something at the company."

"Yah, you should eat well. Wait, I'll pack you some to eat at the office."

"Mooom, there's no need." Y/N sighed.

"Yes, there is." Mrs. Chou went to the kitchen to pack her some food.

"Here, you should eat well." The woman caressed Y/N's hair.

"Unnie, can I come with you? My exams are finished and you said I could work after my exams." Tzuyu asked.

"Sure, let's go. Have fun at school, Chaeyoung-ah." Y/N hugged Chaeyoung from the back while the girl was eating. "Bye mom." She kissed her mom on the cheek and with that Y/N left with her sister.

"Dad, I need to talk to you about something." Jin went into his father's office.

"If you're going to waste my time, don't bother."

"No, I have big news. I got some insider info."

"I'm listening."

"I found out that there are two buildings next to the Ray district on sale. Nayeon is planning on buying them. Apparently their value will rise by a 100% once the Ray district is redeveloped." Jin explained.

"Okay and?"

"We need to buy it dad. We can't let Nayeon buy that. You said it yourself, she doesn't have what it takes to become a CEO. If she buys those buildings and they really rise in value then she'll be ahead of me. You don't want that right?"

"How does Nayeon know about it?" The man questioned. It's true that he thinks that Nayeon doesn't have what it takes to become the CEO. He wants his son to become the next CEO. Nayeon is a woman and therefore incapable of leading the company, but he still allowed her to do this project just so that people wouldn't judge their family.

"Because of Chou Y/N of course. That girl is really becoming a pain in the ass." Jin sighed in frustration.

"What's the relationship between those two? Y/N must have a reason to share this important information with Nayeon."

"You know Y/N is my rival. She's just using Nayeon to get to me. It's clear she's out for revenge." Jin smirked.

"She'll regret going after us. Let's buy those buildings and show her who she's dealing with." Jin's father said which put a smile on Jin's face.

"You're going down, Chou Y/N." Jin laughed.

"Whatever you do to Chou Y/N, don't involve Nayeon. understand that?"

"Yes, father." Jin sighed. He's sick of Nayeon getting in his way. If it wasn't for Nayeon, Y/N was finished already.

"I should have finished her when I had the chance to." Jin regretted.

"If I had known that they would get back on their feet, I would've finished that whole family myself back then." Mr. Im said as he took a sip of his coffee.

"Just wait for it, dad. Both Y/N and Nayeon will be shocked next week when they watch the news." Jin laughed and his dad joined.

"Unnie, I want an office here." Tzuyu said while she was working with her sister.

"An office?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.

"Yes. I think it's time for me to have my own office. I'm going to graduate next year, don't you think it's time for me to have one?"

"You're right. You should start getting used to work. Dahyun-ah!" Y/N yelled.

"Yes, Ms. Chou?"

"See if there's an available office on this floor. If there isn't, then make one. It'll be Tzuyu's new office. She'll have her own office from now on."

"Oh yes, of course. That's amazing."

"Dahyun unnie, please get me a good one." Tzuyu demanded. Tzuyu and Dahyun are actually pretty close. Same for Chaeyoung and Dahyun. The three get along well.

"Of course, Tzuyu-ssi." Dahyun smiled and left the office. After about 10 minutes Dahyun came back.

"Something wrong, Dahyun-ah?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.

"Mr. Im, the CEO of ImTech is here to see you." Y/N wasn't expecting this at all. What is he doing here?

"Let him in."

"Why is he here?" Tzuyu asked.

"No idea, just keep quiet."

"I didn't think that the Chou Y/N would accept me without an appointment." The man laughed as he entered.

"It would be a shame for me to reject the CEO of ImTech, right?" Y/N smiled and gestured to the seat in front of her.

"I see your sister is here as well."

"Hello." Tzuyu bowed lightly.

"What brings you here, Mr. Im?" Y/N asked.

"You're an important business partner so I thought I should pay you a visit." The man lied.

"Thank you for the visit, but I know that's not the reason."

"I heard you're working closely with my daughter on her project. You seem to be helping her out a lot."

"I do what I can." Y/N said in a serious tone. Tzuyu just pretended to be working when she was actually listening to their conversation.

"Tzuyu-yah, how about you go and help Dahyun with finding you a new office?" Y/N knows where this conversation is going so it's best if Tzuyu leaves.

"Why?" Tzuyu asked but Y/N's glare caused her to obey and leave anyways.

"I know you know what happened 8 years ago." The man had actually no idea that Y/N found out about it. He only found out a couple of days ago that Y/N actually knew about it all this time.

"Hmm, it took you eight years to find out, huh." Y/N chuckled.

"I know you're using my daughter for revenge, Y/N-ssi. But just keep in mind, I can do what I did back then once again. You wouldn't want that right?" Y/N gulped upon hearing that. She hates thinking about what happened in the past.

"You're really pathetic, Mr. Im. Nothing has changed, I see. I guess you still have trouble accepting the fact that a poor man managed to be more successful than you." Y/N said in a scary tone and the man suddenly hit the desk with his fist.

"Say whatever you want, Y/N. That man has a burnout now, doesn't he? I told him not to get involved with business but he did anyways and look at him now, he can't even be at his own company because poor Mr. Chou got a burn out." He laughed.

"What do you want, Mr. Im?"

"I'm just here to warn you. Stop trying to get revenge and no one will get hurt." He warned.

"What if I don't?"

"Then it'll be worse than what happened eight years ago." The man chuckled.

"So you're threatening me?"

"I see it more like a warning. You're still young, Y/N-ssi. Don't get yourself involved in dirty business. It won't be good for you."

"Something has been occupying my mind though. You already found out about this a long time ago. Why are you out for revenge now? Why not earlier? And why do I have the feeling that no one in your family knows about this except for you?" Mr. Im is curious about this. According to his information Y/N found out about 6 years ago, but she never did anything until now. In fact she actually benefited ImTech. It doesn't make much sense to him.

"I never got the chance before, that's why. I wasn't strong and experienced enough, but now I am. We're in the same position, Mr. Im. We're both CEO's, you're not above of me but I am above Jin. I wanted to be in this position before taking revenge and as for my family yes they don't know. I never told them because I will be the one getting revenge, not them." Y/N explained.

"You're one funny girl, Chou Y/N. Well, good luck with that." The man laughed.

"You may be laughing now, but I promise you, I'll make Im Nayeon the CEO of ImTech. So tell you're asshole of a son, that he should stop dreaming." Y/N smiled.

"We'll see about that, Chou Y/N. Nayeon has no chance of becoming the CEO. She's a woman after all. No woman has ever been successful in this industry. She should just stick to being an employee." Hearing him say that made Y/N angry. How can someone talk like this about their own daughter?

"I'm a woman and I am successful aren't I? I'm young above that."

"I guess you're an exception. You got lucky that your poor dad got a burnout." He laughed once again. Luckily Y/N doesn't get angry that easily or else she would've hurt him by now.

"I should go now, shouldn't I? It was nice seeing you." The man stood up.

"Nice seeing you too. Goodbye, Mr. Im." Y/N also stood up and the man left the office. Once he left, Y/N sighed in frustration. Hearing him talk like this makes her want to get revenge even more.

"What was that, unnie? What revenge is he talking about?" Tzuyu suddenly showed up.

"Were you eavesdropping?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.

"Yes, I had to. You've been acting weird ever since you got involved with Im Nayeon."

"Stay out of it Tzuyu-yah." Y/N suggested.

"No, tell me what your intentions are. What revenge was he talking about?" Tzuyu is starting to lose patience. Y/N isn't the type to keep secrets from her family but it seems like she's doing it right now.

"You'll find out soon. Please just trust me on this."

"You're in danger, unnie. You shouldn't mess with them, please stop whatever it is you're doing. It's dangerous." Tzuyu pleaded.

"I know you're worried, but I'll handle it, okay? Nothing will happen to me." Y/N assured as she caressed her sister's arm.

"Fine." Tzuyu acted like she gave in. She knows Y/N won't tell her, but maybe she'll tell her parents.

"Did you talk to Chou Y/N?" Jin asked when his father got home.

"You were right, she knows everything."

"I knew it. She wouldn't be doing this much just to see me fail. It was clear that she wants revenge." Jin shook his head.

"Aren't we going to tell Nayeon about this? I mean once Nayeon knows she won't want to work with her and the project will fall through." Jin questioned.

"No. Both of them want this project to be successful and that will be beneficial for us. Besides Nayeon should learn not to trust people so easily. She'll realize that she's been used when Y/N fails to do what she wants." The man said.
