Chapter 19

Today it was revealed that the two buildings near the Ray district that were bought by ImTech have dropped in value. ImTech bought the buildings only last week and it is suspected that the company wasn't aware of the state that the buildings were in. This information also caused their stock prices to drop.

"Did I hear that right?" Mr. Im asked while he was watching the news.

"Yes, Mr. Im. The value of the buildings have dropped to 2 billion and our stock price has dropped with 5%." His secretary informed.

"I'm going to kill him." Mr. Im said very angrily and immediately went home.

"Oh dad, you're home." Jin said but before he could even approach his father, Mr. Im slapped him in the face.

"Honey!" Mrs. Im yelled but Mr. Im hit him once again.

"You told me that the value was going to rise, you son of a bitch!" He held Jin by his collar and punched him once again making Jin fall on the floor.

"T-that w-was what I was told." Jin stuttered as he held his bleeding nose.

"What you were told huh? Stand up." The man demanded.

"I said stand up!" He yelled and Jin immediately stood up even though he was weak.

"Honey, please don't." Mrs. Im tried to stop him.

"You stay out of this!" He pushed the woman.

"I fucking believed you." He punched Jin again and his son fell on the floor.

"Tell me who gave you this information." He grabbed Jin from the floor and held his collar.

"J-jeongyeon. Nayeon told her this. I think we were deceived by Chou Y/N and Nayeon." He said couching.

"What did you say?"

"Nayeon and Y/N, they planned this. They were never planning on buying them, they just did this to deceive us." After Jeongyeon told Jin about the actual value of the buildings, he found out what actually happened.

"Nayeon did this huh? Where is she?" He asked his wife.

"I-I..." She didn't want to answer. She knows what he's going to do to her.

"She's in her room." Jin answered instead and the man went immediately upstairs as Jin and Mrs. Im followed him.

"Dad?" Nayeon asked when he barged into her room.

"What's going on?" Nayeon asked but she got slapped in the face. Very hard.

"You did this, huh? You deceived us?" Nayeon already knows what this is about. She was expecting this to happen but not so soon.

"Yes." She answered honestly. They're going to find out anyways, so might as well tell them the truth. It usually gets even worse when she lies about it.

"I'm going to fucking kill you." He suddenly grabbed Nayeon's arm and pulled her harshly downstairs.

"Please stop!" Mrs. Im tried to stop him again but this time he pushed her harshly making her fall on the floor.

"I guess it isn't enough what I do to you huh? You really got the courage to deceive your own family? And that with Chou Y/N's help?" He took out his belt. Nayeon is scared. Very scared.

"You'll learn not to betray us like that." He tightened his belt and hit Nayeon with it. Mrs. Im has no power in this situation so she started to cry heavily. This scene has happened many times before, but this time it's more intense.

"P-please, don't." Nayeon pleaded weakly but the man kept hitting her with his belt.

"We lost money because of you! You humiliated us once again!" At this point Nayeon is so weak that she can't even hear what he's saying.

"D-dad, that's enough." Jin tried to stop him but Mr. Im also ended up hitting him. He tortured both of his children for like 10 minutes using his belt and his hands. Jin, because he was stupid enough to get deceived and Nayeon because she planned this against them and made them lose a lot of money.

"You're both losers and an embarrassment to our family." He put his belt back on while he watched his two children struggle on the floor with Mrs. Im checking up on them.

"I'm going to have to clean the mess that you two caused once again." The man was about to walk away until Nayeon suddenly spoke up.

"I-I know." She said and the man turned and looked at her.

"You know what?"

"That you want Jin oppa as the next CEO. I know you only let me do this project for money, not to give me a chance to prove myself." She coughed.

"Woah, it's a good thing you know that you don't have a chance." The man started laughing.

"I'm going to become the CEO even if you don't want me to." She said weakly making the man angry again.

"Listen to me you little bitch. The only reason why I let you do this project is so that people won't say that I discriminated you but guess what? I will never make you the CEO of ImTech because you're incapable of being one. So give up your fucking dreams would you?" He grabbed his daughter and made her stand up.

"I will never give up."

"Leave now and don't you come back tonight or I'll make it even worse." He threatened as he grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the front door.

"Don't come back until I tell you so." Mr. Im threw the girl out of the house. That moment Nayeon started to cry heavily. She's sick of getting abused by him. She has bruises and scars all over her body because of him. Her childhood only consisted of hitting, beating up, yelling and scolding. Nothing else.

"And you if you let her in or decide to help her, I'll end both of you. Do you understand?" He asked his crying wife and she nodded. The man looked at his daughter one last time before closing the door harshly.

Nayeon doesn't even know where to go right now. The keys of her car are inside and she has no money on her. She could call someone but who is she even going to call? She has no close friends and how would she even explain the fact that she's bleeding? One thing is for sure and that is that she can't stay near this house. Her father is very angry and he might come back and continue to abuse her. So she gathered all her strength and pulled herself up from the floor, tears falling down her face. She just started to walk to God knows where. She went to a closeby park with many difficulties because she can barely walk. Luckily, it's almost midnight so not that many people are outside, but the ones that are, keep staring at her weirdly.

She decided to sit on a bench and continued to cry. She knew that she was going to get hit after deceiving them but she's so used to it that it didn't even matter to her anymore. She sat there for like half an hour but it started to get cold and she was freezing. She's losing some blood as well, making her feel dizzy. She looked through her phone thinking who to call and Y/N was the first one to pop up.

Nayeon hesitated wether to call Y/N or not but she remembered how Y/N told her to call her if something bad happens whatever it is so she decided to call her in the end.

"Y-Y/N?" Nayeon cried.

"Nayeon-ssi? Is that you?" Y/N couldn't hear her well.

"P-please come pick me up." Nayeon cried heavily.

"What happened? Where are you?" Y/N worried.

"I-I don't know, I'm at a park near my neighbourhood." She answered.

"Wait there, don't move okay? I'll be there as soon as possible." Y/N said and immediately ran towards her car and went to look for Nayeon.

"Fuck, where are you Im Nayeon?" Y/N has been looking around in the park for about five minutes but Nayeon was not in sight. She kept looking and there she saw a girl on a bench with her head on her knees so she immediately ran towards her.

"Nayeon-ssi?" Y/N approached her carefully. The moment Nayeon looked up, Y/N's heart sank. Nayeon's nose was bleeding and she had cuts on her face.

"Oh my God, are you okay?" Y/N kneeled down in front of her and Nayeon just continued to cry.

"Shh, I'm here. It's okay." Y/N hugged the girl and Nayeon cried on her shoulder. Y/N can already guess what happened.

"What happened? Please tell me. Did Jin do this to you?" Y/N asked as she caressed the woman's hair.

"N-no." Nayeon answered.

"Your dad?" Y/N questioned and Nayeon nodded. Y/N's blood is boiling. How could he do this to her?

"It's okay, I'm here now. They can't hurt you anymore." Y/N tightened the hug.

"C'mon let's go. You're freezing." Y/N grabbed Nayeon's arm gently and pulled her up. It was clear that Nayeon couldn't walk well and that she needed help so luckily Y/N assisted her towards her car.

"W-where are we going?" Nayeon asked once Y/N placed her in her car.

"To my apartment. You can't go back to that house." Y/N drove to her apartment as fast as she could and brought Nayeon upstairs.

"Here, let me put you on the couch." Y/N said and placed Nayeon on the couch. She immediately went to the bathroom to find the first aid kit and luckily she found it.

"This is going to hurt a bit, okay? Tell me when it hurts too much." Y/N said with sad eyes. Nayeon looks horrible and it breaks her heart. She might be someone from the Im family but Y/N can't stand to see her like this. After all these past months Y/N has noticed that Nayeon is also their victim.

"Ahh." Nayeon hissed when Y/N took care of her cuts. It stings a lot.

"How much did he hit you for you to become like this?" It's clear that these aren't just cuts from a couple of punches and slaps. Y/N looked at the cuts closely and noticed how Nayeon's face is even beautiful with all these cuts. She's really angry at that man for messing up Nayeon's face like that.

"Y/N-ssi..." Nayeon whispered while Y/N continued taking care of her face.

"Yes?"

"Thank you." She's just happy that Y/N took her away from that place and brought her to her own place to take care of her. Y/N didn't even question her that much, which she is very glad about. She's too ashamed to be facing Y/N right now, but then again there's no one else that would help her.

"I told you to call me whenever something happened, so I'm glad you listened." Y/N informed.

"Do you want to take a shower?" Y/N questioned and Nayeon nodded.

"Will you be able to?" Nayeon can't walk very well so Y/N was worried wether she'd be able to take a shower.

"I'll be fine." Nayeon stood up weakly and went towards the bathroom. She tried to take off her clothes but she could barely lift up her arm because it was all bruised.

"Fuck.." Nayeon said to herself.

"Nayeon-ssi? Are you okay? Do you need help?" Y/N asked but there was no answer. Luckily the door was unlocked so the CEO opened it slowly. There she saw Nayeon struggling to take of her clothes.

"Let me help you." Y/N approached her.

"N-no." Nayeon rejected. She doesn't want Y/N to see her all bruised and scarred body.

"You can trust me. It's just you and me here." Y/N assured her. "Allow me to help you."

"Okay." Nayeon said weakly. Seeing this caring side of Y/N makes her fall for Y/N even harder then before.

The moment Y/N lifted up Nayeon's shirt, she could see her bruises and scars. The traces made it clear to her that Nayeon was hit by a belt. Y/N looked up to see Nayeon's face but Nayeon was so embarrassed that she just looked away.

"How long? How long has he been doing this?" The CEO asked she she slowly touched one of Nayeon's scars. By Y/N's touch Nayeon could feel the shivers down her spine.

"As long as I can remember." Nayeon answered and turned around. Y/N has already seen too much.

"I can take care of the rest." Nayeon assured and Y/N saw that she was uncomfortable so she left the bathroom.

"I'll put here some clothes for you to wear after you're done." Y/N informed.

Nayeon managed to take off the rest of her clothes by herself but with much pain. Her whole body is aching. She went into she shower and started crying again. Her tears are falling down so quickly that it seems like it's merged with the water. Since her body is hurting so much, she left the shower rather quickly.

She grabbed the clothes that Y/N put there and tried to wear them, but with many difficulties. Although she managed to wear most of the things, she couldn't wear the sweater that Y/N gave her so she had no choice but to ask for help.

"Y/N-ssi?" Nayeon asked the CEO who was sitting on the couch in complete silence.

"Oh yes, are you done?" Y/N immediately stood up.

"I need help with this."

"Oh yes, let me help you." Y/N approached her and Nayeon handed her the sweater. She carefully put the sweater on Nayeon, trying not to hurt her but she could see that Nayeon was in pain. Why is she suddenly feeling so angry towards Mr. Im and so sorry towards Nayeon? This shouldn't be affecting her, but here she is wanting to kill Mr. Im for doing this to his daughter.

"Thank you, Y/N-ssi." Nayeon said once Y/N was done.

"Call me just Y/N. We're not doing anything business related now so no need to be formal, okay?"

"Okay, Y/N..." Nayeon felt very weird saying that, but then again she was kind of happy that they finally got rid of the formalities.

"You should sleep. You need to rest and get better." Y/N suggested as she held Nayeon's arm very carefully.

"I already made the bed ready for you. So let's go." Y/N assisted her to her room and put her slowly on the bed.

"I'll be in the room next to yours, if something happens just call my name. I'll hear you." Y/N tucked her in bed.

"Goodnight, Nayeon-ah." Y/N smiled weakly and was about to leave but Nayeon stopped her holding her hand.

"S-stay with me." Nayeon demanded weakly. She doesn't know why but she feels safe with Y/N. The CEO makes her feel safe.

"Oh, okay. Then I'll just sleep on the floor." Y/N nodded to herself.

"N-no, sleep next to me." Nayeon feels embarrassed again but she really needs Y/N to be beside her right now.

"Are you sure?" Y/N raised her eyebrows and Nayeon nodded. Normally, she wouldn't do this but Nayeon looks so vulnerable and hurt right now that it would break her heart to reject her.

"Okay." Y/N sighed lightly and got in the bed next to Nayeon. Nayeon spend hours crying and eventually she fell asleep while Y/N, she couldn't sleep at all. She listened to Nayeon crying for hours even though Nayeon was trying very hard not to be obvious. Hearing Nayeon cry like that made Y/N feel very sorry. It feels like it's her fault because she was the one that came up with the idea. She feel guilty and her heart is not okay with that.

After Nayeon fell asleep Y/N just watched Nayeon sleep and she never noticed how hurt Nayeon actually is. Y/N and her family were victims of Mr. Im and Jin, but Nayeon might be their biggest victim out there.

"Why am I feeling like this?" Y/N asked herself. Why does she suddenly want to stop with her plan to make Nayeon the CEO? Why is she suddenly feeling the urge to protect Nayeon from everything and everyone? Only time will telL..
