Chapter 23

The four girls went to the Chou restaurant as planned. It wasn't that crowded, but there were some people present.

"Hello, Ms. Chou. How can I help you?" One of the employees bowed.

"Can we have a table for four?" Y/N asked.

"Of course. Follow me." The employee smiled and they followed him.

"There's only a table for six available. Is that okay?" He questioned.

"Yeah, that's better actually." Y/N said and they sat down, Nayeon next to Y/N and the two younger girls in front of them.

"Order whatever you want Nayeon-ssi. This place is our place after all." She smiled to Nayeon. Nayeon feels a bit uncomfortable being outside when she still can't walk properly but being Im Nayeon, the moment they stepped outside she lifted her chin up and returned to her confident self.

"You know what, let's just order everything. I'm really hungry." Y/N suggested and called the waiter.

"Won't that be too much?" Tzuyu asked.

"No, of course not."

"Y/N unnie seems really hungry." Chaeyoung chuckled.

"Look who we have here." A voice was heard in the distance and Y/N turned around to see Sana and Mina approaching them.

"Y/N-ssi, Tzuyu-ssi, Chaeyoung-ssi and even Nayeon-ssi?" Sana laughed.

"What are you guys doing here?" Mina asked.

"Well, it's our restaurant." Tzuyu answered.

"What are you doing here? I didn't know that you two come here." Y/N questioned.

"We come here from time to time. I was always hoping to see Chou Y/N here, but I never did. I guess today is the day." Sana smiled at Y/N and Nayeon just glared at them.

"How about you two join us?" Y/N asked and her sister, cousin and Nayeon all glared at her.

"I mean you're our guests after all. I should treat you guys." Y/N added ignoring the glares.

"Of course we'd love to join." Sana stated and sat down next to Y/N while Mina sat down next to Tzuyu.

"Nayeon-ssi, it's been a while. You never hang out with us anymore." Mina remembered.

"I'm busy with work." She answered simply.

"Never in a million years would I have thought for you two to become business partners." Sana gestured to Y/N and Nayeon.

"Never in a million years would I have thought for annoying people to show up here." Chaeyoung stated which made Sana glare at her. Nayeon and Tzuyu on the other hand found it funny and were trying to hide their smiles.

"Ah I see, Chaeyoung-ssi still doesn't like to be around us." Sana shook her head. She couldn't care less to be honest.

"Don't mind her, you know how she is." Y/N smiled at Sana and Nayeon's blood is starting to boil. Yes, she's jealous especially knowing that Sana wants Y/N.

"Oh our food is here." Y/N said when the waiters put all the food on the table. The girls started to eat and Sana kept flirting and clinging onto Y/N which made Nayeon very mad.

"So Chaeyoung-ie, I heard you started going to art school?" Sana questioned.

"Yes, but it's none of your business." Chaeyoung stated and Y/N looked at her with raised eyebrows indicating that she should try to be nice.

"Well, I knew you never had a thing for business since all you like to do is go around and fuck girls." She laughed.

"Chaeyoung isn't like that. She's very serious about art school so how about you mind your own business?" Tzuyu fired back. She hates it when people talk like that about her cousin.

"Hey, I'm just stating the truth. Everyone knows that Chaeyoung is a playgirl." Sana laughed again.

"I'm going to the bathroom." Mina suddenly stood up. This conversation is making her really uncomfortable and Chaeyoung noticed it.

"I also need to go to the bathroom." Chaeyoung stood up as well and went after Mina.

"Was that really necessary?" Y/N asked Sana. "You don't have to always mention that Chaeyoung is different from us."

"Yeah, whatever." Sana shrugged it off.

"At least Chaeyoung doesn't go after people that she can't have." Nayeon said out of the blue.

"So you're saying that I go after people that I can't have?" Sana laughed.

"You can understand it the way you want it to understand." Nayeon fake smiled. Everyone knows very well what Nayeon meant by that.

"Mina-ssi! Mina!" Chaeyoung ran after Mina but Mina just continued to walk.

"Mina." Chaeyoung stopped her by holding her arm.

"What do you want?" Mina asked harshly.

"Why are you ignoring me?"

"I'm not ignoring you. Just leave me alone, Chaeyoung." Mina freed herself from the younger's grip.

"I don't want to leave you alone."

"But I want you to! Stop going after me, can't you see that I don't like you??" Mina yelled. Luckily there's no one around.

"I know you're lying. I know you like me. I saw how uncomfortable you were after what Sana said."

"I don't fucking like you, in fact I hate you." Mina went closer to her.

"Why? What did I ever do to you for you to hate me?" Chaeyoung questioned and Mina became speechless. She has no answer.

"See, you have no reason to hate me, so stop pushing me away."

"I'm not going to let you use me like how you used other girls, okay?" Mina changed the subject.

"I already told you that I'm not using you. I'm serious about you, can't you see it?"

"It doesn't even matter Chaeyoung. My family wants me to marry a guy soon. I can't be with a girl, so please stop making it hard and let me go. There are enough other girls that would want to be with you." Mina said weakly and went to the bathroom leaving Chaeyoung behind.

"You really like her don't you?" Y/N questioned which startled Chaeyoung. The CEO saw the entire scene.

"I don't."

"You can be honest with me Chaeyoung-ah. You don't have to be embarrassed. It's completely fine to like her." Y/N approached her.

"It's not. I don't want to like her."

"Didn't I tell you that if you keep playing around with girls you'd eventually fall for one of them?" Y/N crossed her arms.

"I didn't know it was going to happen. It was not in my plan."

"You could've seen it coming." Y/N sighed.

"Just like how you can see it coming that you'll fall for Nayeon, right?" Chaeyoung chuckled.

"That's not going to happen."

"Oh really? Because to me it seems like you're already falling for her."

"We're not talking about me now, but about you. What are you going to do? Will you still go after her?" The CEO asked.

"There's no use, she keeps pushing me away. I'm done fighting for her." Chaeyoung said weakly.

"If you want her then fight for her. Don't let her go." Y/N grabbed Chaeyoung's shoulders.

"Why? So that people can keep judging and discriminating us because we're both girls? It's not going to happen unnie. Mina is right, everything would be easier for her if she's with a guy. I'll just make her life harder." Chaeyoung said and was about to walk away but stopped when Y/N spoke up again.

"So what, you're just going to run away? Since when do you care about what people think?"

"I don't care about what people think. I care about her. I don't want her to live a difficult life because of me." Y/N never realized that Chaeyoung liked Mina this much. She always thought that Chaeyoung was just going after Mina because she was hard to get, but turns out that Chaeyoung actually likes Mina.

"Believe me if she likes you as much as you like her then she'll live an even more difficult life when she's apart from you." Y/N said and walked away. She knows Mina is a good person, but she's just too influenced by Sana and the other rich, spoiled girls. That's why she's ashamed of being around Chaeyoung.

"Y/N-ssi, why aren't you telling Chaeyoung to leave Mina alone? I mean she keeps disturbing her." Sana said when Y/N returned. Mina is also back, but Chaeyoung is not in sight.

"Chaeyoung isn't disturbing anyone."

"She makes Mina uncomfortable." Sana shook her head.

"Oh really? Is that so Mina-ssi?" Y/N asked Mina and Mina just nodded. Y/N knows it's not true. She's just doing this so that Sana won't spread rumors about them. Y/N looked at Mina sighing. She needs to talk to her later on for sure.

"Mina unnie can talk herself, you don't have to speak up for her you know?" Tzuyu glared.

"Why are you always so defensive Tzuyu-ssi? "

"Because you're always trying to bring people down. How about for once you just shut up and let people do their thing?" Tzuyu stood up madly and went to look for Chaeyoung.

"I guess both your cousin and sister don't like me." She sighed.

"Yeah, how could that be possible? You keep bringing Chaeyoung down. How do you expect them to like you?" Nayeon asked. She doesn't even like Chaeyoung but the way Sana acts is annoying the shit out of her. Nayeon is friends with both Sana and Mina and she knows that Mina and Chaeyoung have a liking towards each other, but Mina keeps running away from Chaeyoung because of Sana.

"Sine when are you defending Son Chaeyoung? From what I know you two can't stand each other."

"Can you two please stop?" Y/N asked, she's starting to get mad as well.

"Can we just go, Sana? I want to go home." Mina stood up. She's doing what she's best at once again, which is running away.

"Fine, I'm not being treated well here anyways." She stood up and was about to leave some money but Y/N stopped her.

"I already told you It's my treat." Y/N reminded.

"Thank you, Y/N-ssi. I still don't get how you're part of that family. You're definitely nothing like them." Sana smiled.

"See you later, Sana-ssi and Mina-ssi." Y/N bid her goodbyes and the two girls left.

"Is Chaeyoung okay? What happened?" Nayeon asked.

"Nothing, she's just mad."

"I know she likes Mina." Nayeon stated.

"Yeah, she does but the situation is pretty bad."

"Mina likes her too. Don't tell this to anyone but she admitted it to me before."

"Then why is she hurting Chaeyoung so much?" Y/N questioned. She hates how Mina keeps pushing Chaeyoung away.

"Because of her reputation and surroundings. You know very well that it isn't easy, Y/N-ah."

"I know, I know. I've just never seen Chaeyoung sad like this. She's the type of girl to not care about anything and to live her life as she wants to but this situation is affecting her a lot." Y/N explained.

"That's normal. After all love isn't an easy thing." Nayeon expressed. She knows that very well.

"Can you go look for Chaeyoung and Tzuyu while I talk to the manager?" Y/N questioned and Nayeon nodded leaving Y/N behind.

"Y/N-ssi?" Someone approached her when she was talking to the manager.

"Irene-ssi?"

"Oh my God, it's been so long!" Irene yelled and pulled Y/N into a hug.

"What are you doing here? I heard that you don't come here that often even though you're the owner." Irene smiled.

"Well, there was a special occasion." Y/N smiled back. In the meanwhile Nayeon found Tzuyu and Chaeyoung and they were about to return to their table.

"Isn't that Bae Irene?" Tzuyu asked.

"Where?" Nayeon asked.

"There." Tzuyu pointed to the two. The moment Nayeon saw Irene her blood started to boil again. Irene is another spoiled woman from one of the richest families in Korea. She's also Nayeon's biggest rival. They can't stand each other at all.

"Let's go to them." Nayeon suggested with gritted teeth as she pulled the two younger girls with her.

"Oh you found them?" Y/N asked Nayeon once the three showed up.

"Nayeon-ssi? Is this the special occasion? You two had dinner?" Irene raised her eyebrows.

"Not just us two, Tzuyu and Chaeyoung joined as well." Y/N informed.

"It's been a while, Irene-ssi." Nayeon fake smiled.

"Yeah it really has been a while. I heard you're busy nowadays with your project. You know when I heard that your project is going well, I was very surprised. I mean Im Nayeon doing something well? It was hard to believe but then I heard that Y/N here is an investor so I immediately understood why you're doing well." Irene said as she held Y/N's arm.

"Nothing has changed I see. You're still jealous that I'm doing better than you?" Nayeon questioned.

"Not really. I have no reason to be jealous, because after all you have nothing that I don't have." Y/N, Tzuyu and Chaeyoung are very confused by the scene that's happening in front of them. Bae Irene is someone that everyone likes but seeing how Nayeon and Irene talk to each other, it doesn't seem like the two like each other at all.

"Are you sure about that?" Nayeon chuckled. If looks could kill then Irene would be dead by now.

"Seems like you two know each other well, huh?" Y/N interrupted.

"I can't believe that you're hanging out with a girl like her, Y/N-ssi. You used to hang out with me all the time, what happened?" Irene asked in a seductive voice. Y/N and Irene used to hang out a lot in the past, just as friends though, nothing more. Y/N does admit that Irene is very pretty, in fact she's one of the prettiest girls she has ever seen. If she wasn't so busy with work, she might have had courted Irene but then again courting someone is not Y/N's thing.

"Just a lot of work, you know." Y/N answered and Irene looked at Nayeon to see her reaction. She can see that Nayeon is bothered by her acting so sweet towards Y/N.

"Well, I hope we can hang out again sometime. I need to go now, see you later?"

"Yeah, see you later." Y/N said and Irene suddenly kissed Y/N's cheek before she walked away smiling. Nayeon's eyes widened upon Irene's action. She really wants to go and slap the shit out of Irene, but she has to remind herself that she has a reputation to hold.

"Unnie, are you blushing?" Tzuyu asked Y/N and Nayeon immediately looked at Y/N. Yes, she is blushing which made Nayeon even more mad than she already was.

"Waah, you're really blushing." Chaeyoung exclaimed and Nayeon suddenly stormed out of the restaurant startling the three remaining girls.

"What was that?" Y/N questioned.

"She's jealous, you pabo." Tzuyu patted Y/N's shoulder. Y/N smirked when she heard that. Nayeon seemed really bothered when Sana kept clinging onto her and the same thing happened with Irene. Y/N is kind of enjoying how Nayeon seems to get jealous.
