Chapter 36

"Ms. Chou, Ms. Jihyo is here to see you." Dahyun informed Y/N and Nayeon who were working in her office.

"Jihyo? Well, let her in."

"Jihyo-yah, what brings you here?" Y/N stood up from her chair.

"Hello." Nayeon bowed.

"Hi." Jihyo bowed back, but she doesn't look okay.

"Something wrong?" Y/N noticed it.

"Can we talk? Just the two of us." Jihyo asked as she glanced at Nayeon.

"I'll go to Dahyun. I had something to say to her anyways." Nayeon smiled and left the office.

"What's going on, Jihyo?" Y/N went closer and touched the girl's arm but Jihyo jerked it away.

"Is it true? Is your birth mother really my mom?" Her eyes got watery and Y/N's mouth widened. How did she find out?

"Tell me, Y/N. Is it true?" There's no point in lying so she just nodded.

"W-why didn't you tell me? How could you not tell me!" She yelled.

"I only found out recently too, Jihyo. I've been trying to tell you ever since then, but it wasn't easy believe me."

"Then how did you find out?"

"I overheard my parents talking about it." Y/N stated.

"I can't believe this." Jihyo started to cry. "W-why would they hide something like this from us?"

"Apparently your mom didn't want me to grow up with divorced parents, so they hid it."

"That's bullshit!" She yelled. "It's bullshit."

"I'm sorry, Jihyo." Y/N pulled her into a hug. It breaks her to see her like this.

"It's not your fault. You didn't know either. It's even worse for you. The woman you thought that was your mother isn't really your mother." Jihyo said and Y/N was holding herself back from crying as well.

"So you're really my sister?" Jihyo asked pulling away from Y/N.

"Yeah, I am." Y/N said looking down.

"Is this why you're so determined to get revenge on the Im's? Because they killed your biological mother?" She asked and Y/N just nodded.

"You're lying, aren't you? There's something that I don't know and you're not telling me."

"There's nothing, Jihyo. I wanted to get revenge on their death and now that I found out that she's my biological mother I want it even more."

"How did you even find out about this?" No one knows about this except for her family and Nayeon. They wouldn't have told her right?

"Jin came to the restaurant."

"What?" Y/N furrowed her eyebrows.

"He told me about it."

"Fuck!" Y/N yelled. He knows?? This is bad. Very bad.

"He also told me that you did something. He didn't say what, but he said that you know more about their death. What are you hiding from me, Y/N? Please tell me." She wants to tell her, but how can she? It will totally break Jihyo.

"Let's sit down." Y/N suggested. The two sat down and Y/N told her everything that happened back then. How she's the reason that they're dead. How they died trying to save her.

"They're dead because of me. I'm so sorry." Y/N cried and so did Jihyo. She can't believe that Y/N hid this from her for all these years.

"You should have told me..." Jihyo said weakly.

"How can I? I'm basically the murderer of your family."

"You're not, they are. Mom and dad wanted to save you because they cared about you, especially mom. Now I get why she cared so much about you. You're her child, Y/N. Of course she would put herself in danger for you. Don't blame yourself. It's not your fault."

"It is, Jihyo, it is! If I hadn't been that stupid, they still would have been alive!" Y/N yelled.

"Stop it!" Jihyo stood up and grabbed Y/N's shoulders. "Listen to me. It's not your fault, okay??"

"I'm sorry." Is the only thing Y/N could say.

"We'll get revenge together. I won't let you do this alone. You're the only thing that's left from them. I don't want to lose my sister either." Jihyo said sitting back down and hearing that made Y/N break down completely.

"I don't deserve you in my life." Y/N wiped her tears. Jihyo has always been so understanding and so good to Y/N. They get along very well and Y/N really appreciates Jihyo a lot.

"Stop crying and let's think of a plan to get revenge."

"I already have a plan, Jihyo."

"But it's not safe. Your plan is dangerous. I already know what you're planning. I read the articles. You're doing it dangerously, Y/N." Jihyo informed.

"What else can I do?"

"They need to go to prison. I know you said that there's no proof but there actually is. We need them to say it theirselves, we need them to admit their crimes."

"They will never do that." Y/N shook her head.

"They will if we trap them. We need to go and talk to them and we'll record our entire conversation. I know how to get it out of them. Just trust me."

"I'll go now. I need to go to work, I'll come tomorrow and we can go to ImTech to talk to them about this, okay?" Jihyo asked and Y/N nodded.

"Thank you, Jihyo-yah."

"For what?" Jihyo pretty much looks like a mess because she cried so much.

"For not being mad at me. For not blaming me and for not hating me." Y/N was scared that Jihyo would hate her for what she did, but on the contrary Jihyo doesn't blame her at all. She knows it wasn't Y/N's fault.

"I can't hate you even if I wanted to. You're my unnie after all. We share the same blood. Now I get why you asked me to call you unnie the other day." Jihyo chuckled.

"You don't have to call me unnie. That'll be just too weird." Y/N shook her head. She always told Jihyo not to call her that despite her being 2 years older than her.

"I do hope you'll see me as your sister though."

"It'll take some time for both of us. Anyways gotta go now. Bye unnie..." Jihyo smiled weakly and left. About a minute after Jihyo left, Nayeon entered the office again.

"Y/N, what happened? Why did it look like Jihyo was crying?" She worried. "And why does it look like you cried too? Did you two fight?" Nayeon immediately approached Y/N and caressed her face.

"She found out." Y/N sighed and Nayeon understood what she meant by that and pulled the CEO into a tight hug.

"Is she mad?"

"No. But I think she's having a hard time believing it." Y/N rested her chin on Nayeon's shoulder.

"It'll be okay, love." Nayeon patted Y/N's back and Y/N pulled away hearing the new nickname.

"Love?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.

"Yeah, love. You're my love." Nayeon said and Y/N's heart skipped a beat. She thought it was impossible for her to fall this hard for someone, but here she is completely head over heels for Nayeon.

"You make me very happy, do you know that?" Y/N asked as she cupped Nayeon's face.

"I know. Your mom told me." Nayeon chuckled.

"What? What did she tell you?" Y/N worried.

"Not much. Just that she never saw you this happy and that I'm the reason behind it."

"Aish that woman." Y/N shook her head jokingly and looked lovingly into Nayeon's eyes.

"Stop looking at me like that and just kiss me." Nayeon demanded.

"You're very bossy aren't you, Ms. Im?" Y/N teased and Nayeon hit her arm.

"Fine, then don't." Nayeon was about to walk away but Y/N held her arm and turned her around so that they were facing each other.

"Your wish is my command." Y/N said and crashed her lips onto Nayeon's. They kissed passionately and as always they can't get enough of each other. Unfortunately they were interrupted by Y/N's phone.

"You should pick up your phone." Nayeon said pulling away.

"It can wait." Y/N was about to kiss her again but Nayeon didn't let her.

"It might be important."

"Ugh fine." Y/N sighed and answered the call.

"Do you want to go out for dinner?" Y/N asked. Nayeon was a bit taken aback, Y/N barely asks her to go out.

"That isn't a very good idea. You know how the reporters are. They won't leave us alone, especially now that I'm a CEO nominee."

"We'll just go to our restaurant, it's safe and after that I'll take you somewhere else."

"Where to?" Nayeon got curious.

"That's a surprise." Y/N winked which made Nayeon blush.

"So you in?" Y/N approached her and held her waist.

"Yes, I'm in. Let's go." Nayeon pecked her lips and smiled. The two left the company and went to the Chou's restaurant.

"Ms. Chou, how can I help you?" One of the waiters approached them.

"Can you get us a table?"

"Of course, follow me." The guy said and the two sat at a table. They ordered their food and started to eat. Both of them were having a good time with each other. It's good that they came here, it made them take their minds off of things for a while.

"You have a big appetite, Y/N-ie." Nayeon noticed over the last few weeks.

"I actually do yeah." Y/N sighed.

"Isn't that Chaeyoung's bike?" Nayeon looked out of the window and so did Y/N.

"It looks like hers, but who is she with?" Y/N furrowed her eyebrows. It's obviously Chaeyoung but she's here with someone.

"I think they're coming here." Nayeon said and she was right about that. Chaeyoung and her unknown friend came into the restaurant and Y/N was surprised to see that the unknown friend is actually Mina.

"Fuck, Y/N unnie and Nayeon are here." Chaeyoung said to Mina when they walked in. They wanted to run but it was too late. Y/N and Nayeon already saw them.

"Son Chaeyoung!" Y/N yelled and Chaeyoung and Mina had no choice but to approach their table.

"You know I was wondering why you're so happy these past few days, well now I know." Y/N teased.

"Girls, join us." Nayeon said and the two hesitated.

"C'mon just join us, don't worry we're going to leave soon." Y/N said and the two sat down. Chaeyoung next to Y/N and Mina next to Nayeon. Chaeyoung and Mina both look uncomfortable, they aren't saying anything and there was an awkward silence. Y/N looked at them and then to Nayeon before she spoke up.

"So are you two going to explain what's going on? Why are you two hanging out?" The last time Y/N checked, Mina didn't want to be around her cousin.

"We're just taking it slow for now. There's nothing going on." Chaeyoung answered. "I'm trying to prove myself. Mina here doesn't trust me." Chaeyoung is known for not being trustworthy at all, so it's no surprise that Mina doesn't trust her.

"I mean she's right about that. You're not a relationship person at all. Besides you get easily bored."

"Yah, unnie, you're supposed to help me, not dig my grave!" Chaeyoung scolded her.

"I'm just stating the truth, but I'm sure Mina-ssi knows that."

"I do, but I believe she can change for me." Mina said looking down.

"You're saying that as if you are a relationship person. Do you know how many people she has rejected?" Chaeyoung asked Nayeon and Nayeon just shook her head.

"A lot. She gets all the hot girls running after her and then she rejects them. I mean I don't get it some of them were literally perfect yet Y/N unnie still rejected them." Hearing Chaeyoung say that made Nayeon a bit insecure. She knows Y/N is popular and that a lot of people want her and it's just making her feel jealous.

"I guess it's in the family then." Mina chuckled.

"Yes, but just like how Mina opened my eyes, Nayeon unnie opened your eyes didn't she?"

"Since when are you calling her Nayeon unnie?" Y/N was confused.

"Nayeon unnie and I are besties now, don't you know?" Chaeyoung joked. Well, they're actually not. Nayeon just asked Tzuyu and Chaeyoung to drop the formalities.

"You're avoiding her question, Y/N-ah." Nayeon said looking at her.

"I guess you did open my eyes."

"That didn't sound very convincing." Mina shook her head and Y/N tried to change the subject.

"You two are being careful, right? Don't you dare get caught." Y/N diverted her attention towards the two younger girls.

"We're careful unnie, don't worry. You won't get threatened again because of us." Chaeyoung looked at Nayeon and Y/N laughed.

"Yah, don't laugh!" Nayeon scolded her. She's embarrassed that she threatened Y/N once using Chaeyoung and Mina.

"Anyways, we should go now. I still need to take Nayeon somewhere." Y/N said standing up and so did Nayeon.

"Don't worry about the bill, I'm taking care of it." Y/N patted Chaeyoung's shoulder and the two said goodbye and left the restaurant.

"Where are we going?" Nayeon asked as they got in the car.

"I already said it's a surprise." Y/N said and started the engine. She drove for about 20 minutes until she finally parked the car somewhere.

"Alright, we're here." Y/N said and got out of the car.

"Close your eyes." She demanded.

"What, why?" Nayeon furrowed her eyebrows.

"Just trust me." Y/N smiled and Nayeon did as she was told. Y/N guided her to the place where they need to be.

"Alright open your eyes." Y/N said and the moment Nayeon did, her mouth widened.

"I rented the entire place just for us." The CEO informed. They're at the amusement park and it looks absolutely beautiful at night.

"You did not do that." Nayeon looked at her in disbelief.

"Yes I did. I want us to have fun without any reporters and without any people around us. Just the two of us." Y/N held her waist.

"I fucking love you, Chou Y/N." Nayeon smiled and pulled Y/N into a kiss.

"I hope you're not scared of roller coasters."

"I'm not. C'mon let's go!" Nayeon grabbed Y/N's hand and started to run. They went on all the roller coasters. They even rode some of them twice. Nayeon hasn't had this much fun in a while. The last time she had fun was when she was at the beach with Y/N.

Eventually, they were tired of going on roller coasters, so now they're just walking around hand in hand which is making both of them a bit shy.

"Let's play games. I want to win something for you." Y/N said after some time.

"Omo, isn't that cliché?" Nayeon laughed.

"Being here is cliché itself." Y/N laughed as well and they went to play some games.

"If you lose, I'm really going to make fun of you." Nayeon stated as Y/N was playing the game. She feels pressured and she's stressing out because she wants to impress Nayeon and win something for her. Luckily, she did win at her first try.

"Didn't I tell you that I would win?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.

"You're good at everything. Is there something you're not good at?"

"I don't think so." Y/N shook her head which made Nayeon slap her arm.

"You can pick one of them." The guy told them.

"I want that bunny." Y/N pointed at a bunny toy.

"Alright, here you go." The guy handed it to her and the two walked away.

"This is for you." Y/N gave her the toy.

"Why bunny though?"

"You look like one." Y/N smiled.

"Yah, this should be romantic!"

"It is romantic, c'mon admit it." Y/N isn't really the type to do stuff like this. She never had a girlfriend or boyfriend before so she doesn't know how these things work. She asked Tzuyu on what to do and Tzuyu told her to do this.

"Fine, a little bit." Nayeon hugged the toy and the two went to sit down somewhere that has a nice view.

"I had a lot of fun today, thank you love." Y/N isn't used to that nickname so she froze upon hearing that once again.

"Anything for you." Y/N hugged her sideways and Nayeon placed her head on Y/N's shoulder.

"I've actually never been to an amusement park before. This is my first time." Nayeon confessed.

"Really? Why?"

"My parents never wanted to go and then later on I just didn't want to go myself."

"I'll show you everything that you've never seen as a child. I'll make you relive your childhood if I have to." Y/N feels so bad that Nayeon never experienced things that kids normally experience so she wants Nayeon to see them even if she's not a child anymore.

"You don't have to do that. Having you around me is enough." Nayeon looked at her.

"You're fucking perfect, do you know that Im Nayeon?" Y/N caressed her face.

"So are you, Chou Y/N. You're way more than that." Y/N couldn't hold herself back and crashed her lips onto Nayeon's. She kissed her slowly at first and the kiss started to heat up but was stopped when Nayeon pulled away. She got reminded that they're outside which could be dangerous.

"Something wrong?" Y/N asked.

"We shouldn't do this here. I mean we're outside."

"It's fine, no one is around here."

"What about that guy that let us in?" Nayeon questioned.

"He's a friend and I already told him to leave, so it's just the two of us." Y/N explained. "C'mon let's go sit here. The view is nicer there." Y/N stood up and pulled Nayeon with her. The two went to the place and sat on the ground. Nayeon sat between Y/N's legs as Y/N backhugged her.

"You smell nice." Y/N said as she kissed Nayeon's neck.

"I always do." Nayeon smiled and tilted her neck so that Y/N has better access to it.

"Y/N..." Nayeon moaned weakly as Y/N continued to kiss her neck.

"We should to this more often. You know just hang out, the two of us." Y/N suggested.

"I'll check my agenda." Nayeon took out her phone. "Let me see. Ah unfortunately, I have no time at all. Maybe you can get an appointment for next year?" Nayeon joked.

"Next year?"

"Yes, that's if you're lucky."

"Fine, then I'll ask Irene to hang out in the meanwhile." Nayeon's entire mood changed when she heard Irene's name.

"Fuck you, Y/N." She got mad and distanced herself from Y/N so that she could see her face. "Don't you ever say her name again." Y/N has been friends with Irene for a while, she just doesn't get why the two hate each other that much.

"Yah, why are you so mad? I already told you that she was my friend back in the day."

"You don't get it. She's always after everything that's mine. Whenever I dated a guy, she wanted him as well and now that I'm dating you, I'm sure that she's going to want you as well just so that she can hurt me." Nayeon explained.

"You're dating me?" Y/N raised her eyebrows.

"Yeah, I mean that's what we're doing right? Dating?"

"I-I didn't think of it like that." Y/N stuttered.

"What do you mean you didn't think of it like that? What are we then, Chou Y/N?" Nayeon asked. Y/N avoided Chaeyoung's question earlier as well so Nayeon knows there's something behind this.

"Nothing, I mean what could we be?"

"Are you fucking serious right now? We both confessed. You told me that you love me, we've been acting like a couple for a while now and you're saying that we're nothing?" Nayeon stood up and so did Y/N. Nayeon is really losing patience right now.

"I never said that we were together. Yes I did tell you that I love you, but I never asked us to date or for you to be my girlfriend."

"You're joking right? I know that you've never had a relationship before but are you really this clueless? We both love each other, so what's the fucking problem?"

"Don't you get it? We can't be more than that Nayeon-ah. You'll become the CEO of ImTech soon, I'm the CEO of Chou Holdings. Do you think people would accept that the the two CEO's ,who are of the same sex, are dating? Both of the companies will go down the second that that news get released."

"So you care more about your company than us?" Nayeon's eyes watered.

"I didn't say that, it's just... It won't be good for us to be something more. You and I, there's just no chance. I'm not ready for a relationship anyways. I can't give you what you want." Y/N stated and Nayeon slapped her in the face.

"You were never serious about me in the first place were you? Why have you been doing this if you didn't even want to be with me in the first place!"

"Look, I do love you I really do! But we just can't right now, Nayeon-ah. It will ruin everything that we've been working on, can't you see it?"

"Then what about the future? Can you see us being together in the future?" Nayeon asked but Y/N didn't answer.

"That's what I thought." Nayeon started to walk away but Y/N ran after her.

"Nayeon-ah! Wait!" Y/N stopped her by holding her arm.

"Let me go! I don't want to see you again!" Y/N froze upon hearing that. If she's already hurting Nayeon now, what will happen when Nayeon finds out about everything?

"I'm going to call Momo and I'll stay with her."

"No, you're coming with me." Y/N grabbed her hand and pulled her towards the car.

"Let me go, Chou Y/N!" Nayeon yelled as she tried to free herself but with no success.

"There's no way I'm letting you stay somewhere else. We're going home right now and we'll talk about this." Y/N said and they left.
