Chapter 39

"Why is she here? Did you guys know that she's here?" Y/N asked Chaeyoung and Tzuyu.

"No, I didn't. I didn't see her until now." Chaeyoung lied.

"Yeah, me neither." Luckily Tzuyu doesn't know about the plan. She's very bad at lying so they would have been busted immediately.

"Mina?" Y/N asked Mina. "Did you bring her here?"

"No, I didn't Y/N-ssi." Mina denied and Y/N sighed. Why the fuck is Nayeon here and that with a guy??

"Does it bother you that she's here?" Jihyo asked.

"No, I don't care." Y/N decided to shrug it off. She told herself that she wouldn't mind seeing Nayeon with someone else. After all, they're not dating or something. Nayeon can do what she wants. However Y/N couldn't keep her eyes off of Nayeon and that guy. They kept flirting and touching each other, which started to bother Y/N a lot.

"They might burn if you keep glaring at them." Chaeyoung told her. Her plan is working.

"I want to kill him."

"Hmm weren't you the one that said that it wouldn't bother you to see her with someone else?" Chaeyoung teased.

"I lied." Y/N kept glaring at them and then she saw the guy's face getting closer to Nayeon's. He caressed Nayeon's cheek and started to lean in. When Y/N saw what was happening she raised her eyebrows and couldn't stop herself from going there. The guy was about to kiss Nayeon but suddenly got pushed by Y/N, which made him fall on the floor. Nayeon was quite shocked to see Y/N in front of her. She was even more shocked to see Taehyung on the floor.

"Unnie!" Tzuyu was about to stop Y/N, but Chaeyoung stopped her. Of course Taehyung was not going to kiss Nayeon. It was just Chaeyoung's plan to make Y/N jealous.

"What the fuck? What's your problem?" Taehyung stood up.

"Leave." Y/N said calmly.

"Why would I? You were interrupting something important."

"I'm not going to repeat myself. Leave." She went closer to him. Taehyung has actually seen Y/N before, they even talked before but luckily Y/N didn't recognise him.

"Y/N, stop." Nayeon pulled her arm. "You don't have the right to cause a scene." Everyone is looking at them and Nayeon is embarrassed.

"Come with me." Y/N said and grabbed Nayeon's wrist as she pulled her to the bathroom.

"Yah, let me go!" Nayeon yelled but Y/N kept walking.

"Are you fucking serious? You were really about to kiss him?"

"Yeah, why do you even care??" Y/N has no right to cause a scene when she's the one that literally ruined whatever they had.

"You were just kissing me a few days ago and now you're kissing someone else?"

"Why does that bother you, Chou Y/N? Weren't you the one that said that I could do what I want?" Y/N knows she's in the wrong here but don't blame her, she didn't think that this would make her this angry.

"I just didn't think you'd move on that fast. I guess I didn't mean anything to you."

"Are you fucking serious, Y/N?? You mean the world to me, are you blind? Can't you see it??" Nayeon raised her voice. Can Y/N really not see how deeply in love Nayeon is with her?

"Then why were you about to kiss someone else?"

"Because of you! Because you keep pushing me away and you keep playing with my feelings!"

"Does that mean you have to go and kiss another guy?"

"Oh my God, can you stop? I don't fucking understand you at all. Your actions are so different from your words and it's confusing the shit out of me." Nayeon informed and Y/N could see the tears forming in her eyes. She can't make Nayeon cry again.

"You're right, I'm an asshole."

"Just leave me alone, Y/N. Don't hurt me more than you already have." Nayeon said and was about to walk away but Y/N stopped her.

"Are you drunk?" She can smell the alcohol.

"None of your business." Nayeon said in annoyance.

"Can you please stop acting like this? I care about you, there's no need for you to act like this."

"Then why does it feel like you don't care about me at all? You don't want to be with me, but you also don't want me to be with someone else even though you said you would be perfectly fine with it. What even do you want Y/N?"

"I want you." Y/N said weakly.

"Now that you see me with somebody else, you want me, huh?"

"I've always wanted you, but you know my reason."

"You know what, Y/N. Make up your fucking mind and only come back to me if you're a 100% sure about me. I don't want to be your side chick." Nayeon said and left.

"Fuck." Y/N said in frustration. She literally caused a scene in her own bar. She went back to her sisters and cousin and saw that Nayeon was not in sight.

"What happened, unnie? Did you two talk?" Chaeyoung asked.

"Did she leave?" Y/N asked ignoring Chaeyoung's question.

"She left with Mina. She was crying though." Jihyo informed.

"I messed up real bad."

"Yes, you did." Tzuyu nodded. Chaeyoung told Tzuyu and Jihyo of her plan so the two are aware of what happened. Y/N just kept looking around and saw the guy that was flirting with Nayeon earlier.

"He looks familiar." Y/N said to herself. She thought about where she knows him from and then remembered that he's one of Chaeyoung's friends. She looked at Chaeyoung and saw her smirking. It didn't take long for Y/N to connect the dots. She knows this was planned.

"Let's go home." Y/N suggested and everyone agreed. The moment they stepped inside their house, Y/N approached Chaeyoung.

"Why did you do it?"

"Do what?"

"I know you planned it." Y/N said in a serious tone.

"Didn't I tell you that she would find out?" Tzuyu laughed.

"I didn't mean to make you angry. I just wanted to make you jealous."

"Why??" Y/N doesn't get it at all. This may have worsened her relationship with Nayeon.

"To show you that you really love her and that you want her to be yours. Admit it, it made you angry to see him with her. You're jealous unnie, it's time to accept the fact that she's the one for you."

"I'm tired, I'm going to sleep." Y/N said and left the two girls. There's no point in arguing with Chaeyoung. It already happened.

"I really thought it was going to work." Chaeyoung sighed.

"I think it did, she just won't admit." Tzuyu patted Chaeyoung's back.

The next morning Y/N woke up feeling like a mess. She can't stop thinking about Nayeon. She wants to go to her and ask her for forgiveness and tell her that she wants her but she's planning so many things behind her back that Nayeon will hate her in just a couple of days.

Soon everyone is going to find out what Mr. Im and Jin did to her and her family. How will Nayeon react to that? Will she be mad at Y/N for putting two of her family members in jail? Or will she actually be glad that the two will finally go to where they deserve? These questions just keep wandering in Y/N's mind.

Y/N thought for a long time and decided to go to Nayeon. She knows how much Nayeon loves her and she's pretty sure that she won't be able to love someone like how she loves Nayeon. Even if Nayeon gets hurt in the end, she'll fight for her.

"Why are you here?" Mina asked when Y/N rang her doorbell.

"Is Nayeon here?"

"No." Mina lied and was about to close the door but Y/N stopped her.

"Please, let me talk to her." Y/N pleaded.

"She doesn't want to see you."

"Please, I won't fight with her, I promise."

"Fine, be quick." Mina gave in and Y/N entered. She went to the guest room and knocked on the door. Nayeon opened it and raised her eyebrows upon seeing Y/N. What is she doing here?

"Can we talk?" Nayeon just went back inside but didn't close the door in Y/N's face which Y/N is glad about. Y/N entered the room and closed the door behind her.

"I know I fucked up. I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for misleading you, for causing a scene last night and for hurting you." Y/N sat down on the bed while Nayeon just listened to her as she was looking out the window. "Truth be told, I never wanted to fall in love. I thought it was something that wasn't going to happen to me and I was very unfamiliar with the feeling. But then I met you. I thought you were annoying at first and I didn't like you at all, but soon I started to have feelings for you." Y/N paused.

"I didn't really understand what those feelings were and I hated the fact that I fell for Im Nayeon, the sister of my biggest rival. I didn't lie when I said that I love you, because I really do. I didn't want to at first and I think that's what held me back from actually dating you. I always thought that there were more disadvantages to our relationship than advantages until I finally realized that you make me happy and that I can't be with someone that's not you." Y/N continued as she looked down. Nayeon turned around to face Y/N and sat down next to her.

"Then why are you acting like this, Y/N? Our feelings are mutual but you're pushing me away."

"I worked really hard for our company and I know that many people are trying to bring me down. People have always used the people that I care about against me and I'm afraid they'll do the same with you. Besides I don't want all my hard work go to waste. If it goes out that we're dating, it could mean the end of both ImTech and Chou Holdings." Tears formed in Y/N's eyes. She doesn't know what to do. She wants Nayeon but then again she doesn't want to risk what she has. Both her parents aren't working, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu are studying. Y/N is basically the only one that has an income. If something happens to the company, they might end up on the streets.

"Y/N look at me." Nayeon cupped Y/N's face. She knows Y/N has been through a lot. It's not easy to be a CEO at such a young age but Y/N managed to pull it off. The girl also just found out that her biological mother is someone else, let's not forget the fact that she's the one taking care of her whole family. Y/N has a lot of things that she needs to deal with.

"We can get through this, can't we? You're smart and I'm sure you won't let your company fail or go to waste. I can't force you to date me if you don't want to. I get that there are risks to it and you seem to be more scared of them then I am. Believe me I'm also scared. I might become the CEO in a few days and I don't want to have a scandal right after it either but then again I love you and I want to be with you. We can just date secretly, can't we?" Nayeon asked and Y/N just looked at her.

"We can't?" Nayeon asked as her hands left Y/N's face.

"We can." Y/N smiled. She's not going to tell her that her father and brother know about them. Nayeon is going to freak out if she finds out about it.

"I missed you." Y/N said looking into Nayeon's eyes.

"I missed you too." Nayeon smiled weakly and hugged Y/N tightly.

"Be my girlfriend, Nayeon-ah." Y/N said pulling away.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, a 100%. I made up my mind, I want you even if this means that my company will get in danger." Y/N stated and was about to kiss Nayeon, but Nayeon turned her face which made Y/N frown.

"Not so fast, Y/N-ssi. Did you really think that I was going to say yes immediately?" Nayeon raised her eyebrows.

"So it's a no?"

"Let's just take things slow. I don't trust you." Nayeon admitted and Y/N can't blame her.

"But it means that I have a chance right?" Y/N hoped.

"Show me that you're a 100% sure about me, then I might date you."

"Okay, I will." Y/N nodded to herself. "Can I ask you something, though?"

"Go ahead."

"Can you come back home?" Y/N questioned. "You don't need to stay in my room, you can stay in the guest room but just come back home. My mom misses you and I think you'll feel more comfortable there." Y/N can see that Nayeon isn't very comfortable here.

"Won't they mind?"

"Of course not. They've been scolding me for days because I made you leave. They're going to be happy to have you back home." The CEO chuckled.

"Okay then, I'll come back."

"Great, I'll send my driver later today. I need to go to work now though. I'll see you tonight." Y/N stood up and kissed Nayeon's forehead before leaving which made Nayeon blush.

"I'm going Mina-ssi. Thanks for letting me in." Y/N said before leaving.

"You look happy, so the two of you made up?"

"Kinda. Anyways I need to go now. See you later!"

Before Y/N went to prison to talk to Park Jimin, she actually managed to meet with a girl named Park Yuna, who is apparently Park Jimin's sister. If Jimin doesn't get convinced by Y/N, he might get convinced by his sister, so that's why she brought her along to prison.

"I'll talk to him first." Y/N said and went to talk to Jimin.

"You made your choice?" Y/N asked.

"I-I don't know." He sighed. It's a difficult decision to make.

"Well, this person might help you with your decision." Y/N said and gestured for Yuna to come.

"Y-yuna?" Tears formed in Jimin's eyes. He hasn't seen Yuna for like five years. She visited him in the beginning but then his family forbid her to visit him.

"Oppa." Yuna started to cry.

"I'l leave you two alone." Y/N said and distanced herself, but she could still hear them talking.

"What took you so long?" He asked.

"Mom and dad forbid me to come here. I'm sorry."

"They still hate me?" He asked and Yuna nodded.

"Oppa, please do as Y/N-ssi says. I miss you and so do mom and dad. They hate you because they think you're guilty, but you're not oppa. Once they find out about this, everything can go back to normal."

"I might die Yuna. You don't know how dangerous those people are. Even Chou Y/N might not be able to protect me."

"Is that better than staying here? Oppa you got 25 more years... Dad is sick. He has cancer. He doesn't have much to live, please don't let him die like this. Tell them that you're innocent and spend his last months with him." Yuna cried and Jimin got shocked to hear that his father has cancer.

"H-he has cancer?" Jimin started to cry as well and Yuna nodded.

"Ever since you got in prison, we've been a mess. Then we found out that dad has cancer and everything just became worse. Oppa, I know you're a mess and so are we. Please just tell everyone the truth and get out of here. You don't deserve to be here. Please, I need you. Mom and dad need you."

"Yuna, listen to me. I'll get out of here. I promise." Y/N smiled weakly upon hearing that. Not because it's going to benefit her, but because she actually feels bad for the guy and his family. He can still save his life and Y/N is the only one that can help him.

"R-really?" Yuna asked and Jimin nodded. He wants to be free again and be with his family.

"Are you sure, Jimin-ssi? We don't have much time left, so I need an answer now." Y/N joined them.

"I'll do as you say. Please, just get me out of here." He cried.

"I will, don't worry about it. So this is the plan." Y/N sat down and told him everything that he needs to do when the day comes.

Y/N just came home and told her driver to go and pick up Nayeon so she'll be here any minute as well.

"Are you waiting for something?" Her mother asked.

"Yeah, just wait and see."

"Hmm, you look happy. You made up with Nayeon?" Y/N was pretty down during the days that Nayeon left, so anyone can see the change in her.

"That should answer your question." Y/N smiled when she heard the doorbell. She went to the front door and opened it. The moment she saw Nayeon she smiled.

"Welcome back."

"Thank you." Nayeon said and walked in.

"Oh my God, Nayeon you're back?" Mrs. Chou yelled in happiness and went to hug Nayeon.

"Yah, you love her more than you love your daughters?" Tzuyu showed up.

"When do you and Y/N help me out in the kitchen like Nayeon does? Never." The woman joked and Y/N shook her head smiling.

"Yah, what's happening? Why are you guys so happy?" Chaeyoung also joined. "Oh Nayeon-ssi? You're back?" Chaeyoung widened her mouth and Nayeon just nodded.

"I can't believe your plan actually worked." Tzuyu chuckled and Chaeyoung felt very proud. She knew they were going to make up once Y/N saw her lover with someone else.

"What plan?" Everyone panicked upon hearing Nayeon ask that. They forgot that Nayeon has no idea about the plan.

"Oh nothing, I just told Y/N unnie to ask for forgiveness." Chaeyoung tried to save herself and luckily Nayeon believed her.

"That was close." She whispered to Tzuyu and Tzuyu just laughed.

"Let's get your stuff upstairs." Y/N said and grabbed Nayeon's bags as Nayeon followed her.

"I'm guessing you want them in the guest room?" Y/N questioned and Nayeon nodded.

"I already asked the maids to clean up the room so it's all done."

"Thank you, Y/N."

"Of course. Are you okay? You seem nervous."

"It just hit me that the meeting is in two days." Nayeon sighed. This meeting will decide her future.

"Don't be nervous. We're going to win this war. You're going to become the CEO no matter what." Y/N cupped her face.

"How are you so sure?"

"I already talked to some shareholders, they're going to vote for you for sure. I will vote for you as well. If everyone does as they say then you'll have the majority of the votes."

"What if Jin gets more votes? I mean do we have a plan B?" Nayeon wondered. There is no plan B because they're going to go to jail anyways. Even if Jin gets more votes, the moment he goes to prison Nayeon will automatically become the CEO so there's no need for a plan B.

"We won't need it. Just trust me." Y/N caressed Nayeon's face. "I really love you, I hope you know that."

"I know Y/N. I love you too." Nayeon smiled.

"Can I kiss you now or are you going to turn your face again?"

"Pabo, just kiss me." Nayeon leaned in for a kiss. They kissed passionately until they got interrupted by Tzuyu.

"So are you two dating now or nah?"

"Can't you knock?" Y/N scolded her.

"You left the door open, it's not my fault." Tzuyu threw her hands in the air. "You didn't answer my question though."

"Not yet. I guess your unnie is kind of courting me right now." Nayeon chuckled.

"Y/N unnie is courting you? I never thought I would see that day. Normally people try to court her but look at you now courting someone yourself. That's how whipped you are huh?"

"When did you become so annoying aish?" Y/N got frustrated.

"When did you become so romantic?" Tzuyu smirked.

"Shut up before I kill you." Y/N warned and left the two behind.

"Ahh, she'll never admit it." Tzuyu laughed.

"She admitted it to me. I guess that's enough, Tzuyu-yah."

"I'm glad she did. She would have made a big mistake if she let you go."

"Thank you for saying that. It means a lot to me." Nayeon smiled.
