Chapter 4

Around a week has passed and Nayeon has been working on her project non stop. She needs to fix everything that's wrong so that Y/N will be convinced.

"This should be fine right? What else can I do to make this better? I fixed everything she asked me to." Nayeon asked Momo and some employees that helped her.

"I don't know, Ms. Im. It'll be very hard to convince Chou Y/N." Momo guessed.

"I have no more time left, I should just present the adjusted project to her tomorrow." Nayeon shook her head. She's not confident but she'll try.

"You can all leave except for Momo." Nayeon said and everyone left except for Momo.

"Did you find some things on Chou Y/N?"

"Yes, I did. This is everything I got." Momo handed her some papers.

"Is there anything suspicious?"

"No, not at all. According to my information she became a CEO two years ago when her dad got a burn out. Before that she was an employee at their company and she helped her dad quite a lot. She studied at the best schools and universities and has multiple diplomas. Even though she's a young billionaire CEO, people say that she doesn't act that way. She's humble and doesn't care about other people's statuses and positions. She's just polite and nice to everyone." Momo explained.

"That might be an act. I don't know one rich girl that's humble, I'm sure she's no exception. How about her family and friends? What does she do in her free time?"

"She's pretty close to her parents and sister. The family has a really good bound. As for her friends I couldn't find any information. I don't think she has many friends. She's either working or spending time with her family." Momo shook her head.

"Really? There's no one else she spends her time with besides her family?" Nayeon asked.

"There's her cousin Son Chaeyoung. Apparently she's also close to her."

"Son Chaeyoung is her cousin?" Nayeon laughed. This is some new information that she didn't see coming.

"I can't believe that that loser Son Chaeyoung is really Chou Y/N's cousin." Nayeon continued to laugh. Y/N is polite and has good manners while Chaeyoung, well she's kind of the opposite.

"How about her ties with other companies? Who are some of their important business partners?"

"One of their business partners is the Minatozaki family. I don't know if she's close to Minatozaki Sana but they definitely know each other well." Momo explained.

"Oh really? So Sana knows her well." Now that Nayeon thinks about it, Sana and Y/N did seem close at that party that night but so did Mina.

"How about Myoui Mina? Does she have any connections to her?"

"They're not business partners, but Mina's parents are close to Y/N's so I'm guessing that their daughters know each other as well."

"Thank you Momo. You did a great job, I want you to keep looking for information. There might be some things that we missed." How could it be that Chou Y/N really has nothing suspicious about her? Isn't that actually even more suspicious? She seems to be perfect from the outside but Nayeon is sure that Y/N has some big secrets.

Nayeon wants to find out more about Y/N so she went to visit Sana. They live in the same neighbourhood, well most rich families live in this neighbourhood so they see each other quite often. You could say they're kind of friends but also not. They hang out from time to time but Nayeon knows that Sana just hangs out with her because she's another rich girl not because she actually sees her as a friend.

"Ms. Sana, Nayeon-ssi is here." The maid told Sana.

"Oh let her in." Sana ordered and with that the maid let her in.

"Nayeon-ssi, it's been a while. What did I do to make you visit me?"

"Just wanted to check on how my friend is doing." Nayeon fake smiled as she hugged the girl.

"Oh Mina is also here." Nayeon noticed. Unlike Nayeon, Mina and Sana are actually very good friends. The two are always together.

"Let's have a drink. If I knew you were coming, I would've prepared some things you know." Sana laughed.

"No need, I just came to spend some time with you." Nayeon informed and the three sat down.

"Here's some wine." Sana handed the girls their glasses of red wine.

"So how are you? How's your project going? I heard that you're having a difficult time with it." Mina asked. Rumors go around very fast in this neighbourhood.

"It's going well, but my dad wasn't very happy with the investors list."

"Oh why? I'm sure you have many investors." Sana asked.

"Chou Holdings rejected my offer and let's just say that my dad isn't happy about that."

"Ah yeah, Chou Y/N. She always gives everyone a hard time." Mina shook her head. Chou Holdings is known as one of the biggest investors in the country, yet it's a very hard thing to convince them to actually invest in something.

"Are you guys close with her?"

"We used to be close when we were kids but she distanced herself once she got older." Mina informed. Oh so there was a time where she had friends, huh?

"Now we still talk from time to time and we tried to befriend her again but with no success. She's always distant." Sana added.

"Why though? I mean isn't it a good thing to have connections as a CEO?" Nayeon questioned.

"It is, but Y/N has always been mysterious. You never know what she's thinking. She's different." Sana furrowed her eyebrows. Why does it look like these two know more about Y/N but aren't saying anything?

"I'm going to present my project to her again tomorrow, hopefully she'll accept it this time." Nayeon decided to not ask any further so that the girls won't become suspicious.

"Just ask her for help. Y/N rejects a lot of offers but she also helps them out to fix it." Mina suggested.

"There's no way I'm asking her for help. She'll look down on me once I do."

"I've never seen her look down on someone. Hell she doesn't even look down on her minimum wage employees." Sana chuckled.

"Still, she'll have a lot of power if I do." Nayeon shook her head.

"How did the party go by the way?" Nayeon changed the subject. Enough talking about Chou Y/N.

Nayeon is on her way to Chou Holdings to present the project once again. She knows Chou Y/N will probably not accept the offer, but she has no other choice besides trying.

"Ms. Chou is inside, you can enter." One of the secretaries told her and with that she entered.

"Im Nayeon?" Y/N has been seeing the girl a lot lately.

"I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you. I should've called."

"It's okay, sit please." Y/N gestured to the seat in front of her.

"I adjusted the project just like you told me to."

"Oh you did?" Y/N wasn't expecting for Nayeon to actually listen to her.

"Yes. I hope you'll reconsider it." Nayeon handed her the files.

"Well, let's have a look." Y/N said and went through the files.

"It looks a lot better than before." Nayeon smiled upon hearing that.

"But it's still not something that I can invest in." Y/N said. She doesn't like rejecting offers but she has to think of her company.

"Are you serious? I spend days and nights adjusting this project so that you would finally invest, but you still won't? What the hell do you even want? It's a small project. You're not going to gain that much from it, but you'll surely get your money back. So why are you so hesitant?" Nayeon raised her voice, her politeness seems to have disappeared.

"That's the thing, I won't get my money back. You think I would, but no I won't and none of the other investors will. Your expenses are still too high. I'm not saying this to annoy you or to be a jerk, I'm just stating the truth." Y/N defended.

"I don't fucking care about your opinion and I don't need you as an investor."

"Then why are you here?" Y/N raised her eyebrows. Why does she keep bothering her if she's not needed?

"Because of my dad. He wants you as an investor and it was my job to convince you, but now I see that It's impossible."

"Look I would really love to invest but I just can't. I can't take the risk." Y/N really feels like shit right now. She feels sorry for the woman in front of her. She knows what kind of person Nayeon's father is. He's cruel and he's probably giving his daughter a hard time.

"I'm not giving up until you invest." Nayeon glared at Y/N.

"You can't force me, you know that right? I've had a lot of people like you before but you're the first one that's actually from a big company. I wouldn't have expected this from you." Y/N informed and Nayeon slammed her hands on the desk in front of her with both of her hands, startling Y/N. She's the daughter of a very powerful man yet she's acting like this?

"I'll do whatever it takes to make you accept the offer. Do you hear me?" Many people are scared of this side of Nayeon's but Y/N isn't intimidated at all. As a CEO she's met worse people.

"What will you do? Tell me cause I'm curious. Will you keep adjusting it until I accept?" Y/N guessed.

"Hmm maybe. Or I might do something else." Nayeon stood up and walked in a circle around Y/N.

"I might have some personal information that you won't want to get released." Nayeon informed and Y/N chuckled. What could she possibly have?

"See yourself." Nayeon threw an envelope on Y/N's desk and Y/N opened it. She saw pictures of her cousin Son Chaeyoung kissing a girl. Her eyes widened when she saw who the girl is. The girl is not very visible but Y/N could see that it was Myoui Mina. Chaeyoung is a playgirl. She likes to play with a lot of girls hearts and she gets whoever she wants, except for one person and that's Mina. Chaeyoung kept trying to get Mina's attention but Mina always made it clear that she had no interest at all. So yes it is surprising to see a picture of the two kissing.

"You look surprised." Nayeon laughed.

"Why are you showing me these? Why should I care about this?"

"I know that Son Chaeyoung is your cousin, I also know you're very close to her." Nayeon couldn't find anything on Y/N herself so she had to find some things on her family members and luckily Chaeyoung helped her out with that.

"Who said I'm close to her?" Most people don't even know that Y/N and Chaeyoung are cousins, so how did Nayeon find out?

"You know what will happen when these pictures get released right? Son Chaeyoung will get cancelled and so will her entire family. You won't want that for her, right?" Nayeon said the last sentence in a seductive voice.

"Are you threatening me right now?" Y/N stood up as well.

"Hmm, I wouldn't say I'm threatening you, I'm just warning you." Nayeon approached Y/N closely and touched the CEO's cheek as she smiled creepily. Y/N does think that the girl in front of her is pretty attractive, but her actions and attitude just ruins it for her.

"You think I'm going to invest by threatening me like this? In fact your chances are lowered now, Nayeon-ssi."

"Go ahead and release those pictures." Y/N suggested.

"W-what?" Nayeon raised her eyebrows.

"You need me, so releasing those pictures would be really stupid right?"

"You think that I won't do it? I can release them right now. It just takes one second." Nayeon showed her phone. Y/N knows that she won't do it. Nayeon is all talk, it's something she noticed today.

"So what deal are you suggesting?" Y/N questioned.

"Invest in my project and I'll delete these pictures."

"And if I don't, you'll release those pictures right?" Y/N raised her eyebrows and Nayeon nodded slowly with a smile on her face.

"And what will happen to you when you release those pictures? Don't you think the other girl's family will come after you?" Nayeon chuckled upon hearing that.

"That girl is probably a nobody." Nayeon shook her head. Who else could be kissing Son Chaeyoung? Only low people would.

"I guess you haven't looked at the pictures very well. Take a closer look." Y/N said as she took one of the pictures and gave it to Nayeon.

"Is this..." Nayeon widened her eyes.

"It's Myoui Mina." Y/N answered instead of her.

"Aren't you friends with her? Do you want to put her in a bad situation like this? Besides what would the Myoui family do when they find out about this? Releasing these pictures won't be just bad for me and Chaeyoung but also for you and Mina." Nayeon feels really stupid right now. How couldn't she have seen that it was Mina on the picture? If she had seen it, she wouldn't have used it to threaten Y/N because just like Y/N said, it'll be bad for all of them if she releases them.

"They won't find out that I released them." Nayeon tried to defend.

"Of course they will. You know the Myoui family. They won't stop until they find who did it. You don't want to be the cause of a family war do you?" Y/N smirked.

"Fuck!" Nayeon yelled and threw the picture that was in her hand.

"I will make you my investor, Chou Y/N." Nayeon suddenly touched Y/N's collar, putting it on it's place.

"Just watch me." She smirked and with that she left the office.

"Is she crazy?" Y/N asked herself.  She knows that Nayeon won't give up. The girl is famous for getting whatever she wants and unfortunately Y/N is involved in this.
