Chapter 47

Today is the day that the trial will take place, meaning that it will finally be revealed how long Mr. Im and Jin will go to prison. Y/N got ready to go and she will be joined by Tzuyu and Jihyo. Of course Jihyo wants to be there to see the murderers of her parents go to jail and Tzuyu just wants to support her sister and her childhood friend. It won't be easy for Jihyo and Y/N to go there. Y/N's parents and Chaeyoung decided not to go since it will draw a lot of attention.

The moment they arrived at court all reporters came towards them. They've been the talk of the town for a few days now and today they will be surely all over the news once the trial ends. Luckily they managed to enter quickly with the help of security. The moment they entered Sana approached them.

"It will start in about ten minutes." The lawyer let them know.

"I'm nervous, what if the judge decides something that we don't expect?" Jihyo sighed.

"That can't happen. I'm not sure how many years they'll get but It won't be just a few years that's for sure. As long as Jimin tells the truth, nothing can go wrong." Sana informed and more people are starting to come. Y/N saw Nayeon and her mother in the distance and both of them look quite worried. Mrs. Im looks like she hasn't slept for days and Nayeon has absolutely no expression on her face.

"If it isn't Chou Y/N." A guy said from behind and Y/N turned around to see one of the people that she despises the most, which is Park Jinyoung (Got7, not JYP wahahah), Jin's best friend. He and Jin used to bother Y/N a lot back in the day and she hates Jinyoung almost equally as much as she hates Jin.

"Why are you here?" She asked.

"I'm here to support my best friend. Never did I think that you would be the reason for him ending up here but life is full of surprises, isn't it?"

"Girls, let's go." Y/N said to her sisters ignoring Jinyoung's statement. After about 10 minutes they all entered the place and the judge also walked in. Y/N admits she feels quite nervous. Everything she did was for this moment.

"Bring the suspects please." The judge demanded and there they saw Jin and his father entering with handcuffs on. The moment Mrs. Im saw them, she started to cry.

"I'm listening." The judge stated and both Mr. Sook and Sana started talking trying to bring down the other side.

"I did not do anything. Don't you understand? I did not kill them. I'm not guilty!" Jin raised his voice. He refuses to admit.

"Silence!" The judge hit his hammer. "Continue please." He told Sana.

"I have some witnesses that can confirm everything that I'm saying. Can I bring them in?" She asked the judge and he nodded. The first witness that came to the front is Jihyo's grandmother.

"So Ms. Park can you tell me what happened the day your son and his wife got killed."

"We were at my restaurant, the three of us. Y/N was also with us but she went to the bathroom leaving her phone with us. We all knew that Y/N was in trouble and that Mr. Im was looking for her. My son saw that Y/N had received a message telling her to go somewhere but instead of telling her they decided to go there instead and that same day they got killed." The woman explained.

"Are you sure that Mr. Im is the one behind this?"

"Yes. He was looking for Y/N for a long time but he didn't know who she was. I'm sure the moment my son and daughter-in-law went there he thought that they were the ones threatening them."

"Thank you Ms. Park. Chou Y/N you're next." Sana said and Y/N stood up and walked to the front slowly. The moment she stopped she locked eyes with Nayeon but Nayeon immediately averted her gaze to somewhere else.

"Why was Mr. Im after you?" Mr. Sook asked.

"He made my dad plead guilty for something that he didn't do. I was mad and I started to mess with Mr. Im. I kept blackmailing him which resulted in him looking for me. He didn't know who I was but he somehow found my number and texted me to come there. I saw the text after the Park's got killed and I knew what was going on."

"You admit to blackmailing him?" Mr. Sook questioned. Nayeon just kept looking at Y/N, she can see that it's hard for Y/N to talk about this.

"Yes." She could lie about this since there's no evidence at all but she decided not to since it's only fair if she tells the truth.

"Mr. Judge please keep in mind that Chou Y/N was a minor back then." Sana added. Y/N was not 18 yet when all of this happened.

"Why didn't you come forward for eight years? Why decided to do it now?" The man asked.

"I had no evidence, but now I do."

"She's fucking lying!" Mr. Im stood up. "She tricked us into saying that we killed them. The recording is totally out of context. We did not kill them!"

"Silence!" The judge yelled. "Please sit back down." Both Mr. Im and Jin keep interrupting everyone and everything.

"Thank you Chou Y/N. Ms. Minatozaki do you want to bring in any more witnesses?" The judge asked.

"The last one I brought is Park Jimin. The guy that has been in prison for eight years for killing the Parks." She said and they brought Jimin in with handcuffs around his wrists.

"I won't make it long Park Jimin. I just have one question for you. Did you kill Mr. and Mrs. Park eight years ago?" Sana asked him and he's feeling really nervous. He looked at Jin and Mr. Im and they were sending him warning glares which made him fucking scared. Then he looked at Y/N and she nodded assuring him that he'll be okay when he tells the truth.

"Park Jimin?" Sana repeated. The guy is not answering due to nervousness. Y/N is starting to get worried. What if he lies because he's scared? He told the police the truth but what if he tells the judge something else?

"You can tell the truth, Jimin-ssi. No one can hurt you now." Sana assured. The guy looked at Y/N again and she mouthed "Yuna" as she averted her eyes somewhere. Jimin looked at where Y/N was looking at and saw his sister. The moment he saw her, he got surprised. He told her not to come but she's here. Of course Y/N was the one that asked her to come in case Jimin changes his mind on telling the truth. She knew that Yuna is the only one that can make him tell the truth. He looked at Yuna for a few seconds and Yuna nodded telling him that he should tell the truth.

The guy looked at Sana and sighed. "I did not kill them." he revealed and noises of talking were heard all over the place.

"Silence!" The judge yelled which made everyone stop talking.

"Why did you plead guilty if you didn't kill them?" Sana asked.

"I had no choice. They threatened to kill me and my family if I didn't do as they say. I come from a poor family so they told me that they would provide my family their basic needs but they never did." He explained and didn't even dare to look at Mr. Im and Jin. Both of them are so mad right now. They can't believe that Jimin betrayed them. He's really a scaredy cat so how did Y/N even convince him to do this?

"What is your relationship with the Im's? How do you know them? Why did they choose you to plead guilty and not someone else?"

"Jin and I went to the same school and he bullied me for years. He knew that I was scared of him and that I would agree."

"Stop fucking lying!" Jin yelled. This guy really can't stop interrupting.

"Thank you, Jimin-ssi." Sana smiled weakly and they took Jimin to the side. The lawsuit continued with more arguing between Mr. Sook and Sana. Both are doing their best to make their customers satisfied.

"Okay, that's enough. I came to the conclusion." The judge informed and everyone stood up waiting for what he will say.

"Looking at all the evidence and witnesses that we saw today I came to a conclusion. Im Seokjin you are charged guilty of killing Mr. and Mrs. Park and following your father's orders. You'll be sentenced to prison for 15 years." The judge revealed and everyone gasped. Nayeon is in shock and her mother started to cry heavily.

"Mr. Im you are being charged guilty of manipulating evidence, killing Mr. and Mrs. Park, threatening to kill, stealing money from the government and making both Park Jimin and Mr. Chou plead guilty to something they didn't do. You'll be sentenced to prison for 35 years."

"W-what?" He stuttered. 35 years is a long ass time for him. This basically means that he'll be in prison for the rest of his life. Everyone was keeping quiet and Y/N and Jihyo locked eyes. Jihyo smiled weakly as she patted Y/N's shoulder. This is their revenge.

"Chou Y/N, you're being charged guilty of blackmailing. Due to the circumstances and the fact that you were a minor, you'll only have to pay a fine of 11 million won." Sana told Y/N that she would get away with only a fine but Y/N was still nervous about it. There was a chance that the judge decided on her going to prison as well.

"And finally Park Jimin will be released from prison." The man stated which made both Jimin and Yuna smile.

"That's not fair! He is the real killer, he should still be in jail! And how does Y/N only get away with a fine while she tricked us into this? She should go to jail!" Jin stood up and started to protest.

"You're going to pay for this Chou Y/N! You'll regret this!" Mr. Im protested as well and the police are having a hard time controlling them.  Luckily they managed to get them out and put them into the car to take them to prison.

"We did it unnie." Jihyo hugged Y/N once they got out of the room as well.

"We did it, Jihyo-yah." Y/N hugged back tightly before also hugging Tzuyu.

"Congratulations." Sana approached them as she smiled. Now that Mr. Im is out of sight for 35 years, she's hoping that her family will be okay from now on.

"Thank you, Sana-ssi. You really helped me a lot." Y/N thanked her. Sana is indeed very good at her job. Y/N was about to say something again until she suddenly heard someone crying heavily. She looked in the distance and saw Mrs. Im crying on her knees while Nayeon is trying to help her up. Seeing her mother like this makes Nayeon cry as well. The woman lost both her son and husband. It's not easy. Nayeon feels sad as well. Even though they're guilty they're still her family. She can't be happy about this.

"Mom please." Nayeon tried to get the woman up.

"They're gone Nayeon-ah. They're gone." Y/N and her sisters kept looking at them. They should be happy that they finally went to jail but seeing Mrs. Im and Nayeon like this doesn't make them feel happy.

"She did it. It's all her fault." Mrs. Im locked eyes with Y/N and suddenly stood up approaching the young CEO.

"It's all your fault!" She yelled and slapped Y/N in the face very hard which made everyone around them gasp. No one can comprehend what's happening, especially Nayeon.

"You ruined my family." She looked at Y/N in disappointment. Y/N's cheek became very red in an instant. The woman slapped her very hard and it stings.

"I didn't ruin your family. Your husband did. None of these would have happened if he didn't kill them." Y/N said weakly which is true.

"Mom please let's leave. You're not okay." Nayeon tried to take her away but the woman refused.

"I didn't slap you for sending them to jail, Chou Y/N. I slapped you for hurting my daughter." She revealed and Y/N looked at Nayeon with sadness in her eyes. "I believed you when you told me that you loved her. I trusted you and left her in your hands but you used her and hurt her. I promise you Chou Y/N, I'll make you pay for hurting my precious daughter."

"Your precious daughter, huh? When I hurt her she's precious but when your husband and son abuse her, she's doesn't seem to be that precious to you does she?" Y/N asked and got slapped in the face again but this time by Nayeon. How could Y/N reveal this in front of everyone? She's the only one that knows about her getting abused, but now everyone that was listening to them knows.

"Mr. Lee, take mom home." Nayeon demanded in a scary tone. She could kill Y/N right now.

"Are you mad at me for saying the truth? You got abused ever since you were little and never ever did that woman protect you!" Y/N yelled. It's true, she watched Nayeon getting abused for years and didn't do anything about it. It just makes Y/N mad. How can a mother watch her child get abused and not do anything about it?

"Y/N stop it!" Nayeon yelled and begged at the same time.

"Mr. Lee please." She asked again and the man took Mrs. Im away from the scene. The woman couldn't even protest because she knows Y/N is right.

"Come with me." Nayeon grabbed Y/N's wrist and dragged her to somewhere private.

"Are you out of your mind why would you reveal that?!"

"I'm sorry, she just made me mad. She never protected you from your dad but now she's threatening me for hurting you? it doesn't make fucking sense!" Y/N raised her voice.

"You have no right to do that, do you hear me? I trusted you and told you about it but you decided to reveal it to the world in just a second." Nayeon can't get even more disappointed in Y/N right now. "Here I thought that you couldn't get worse, but I was wrong. Are you happy now, Y/N? You finally got what you wanted. The real killers are going to prison. I guess it's time for you to celebrate." She looked into Y/N's eyes.

"I'm not happy." Y/N looked down weakly. She can't be happy seeing Nayeon like this.

"Why? Because you're not satisfied enough? When will you be happy, Y/N? When you destroy ImTech as well? Will that make you happy?" Nayeon approached her and hit her ex-girlfriend's chest repeatedly.

"Stop it Nayeon-ah." Y/N demanded as she held both of her hands stopping Nayeon from continuing to hit her. "I'm not after ImTech and destroying it will not make me happy either. This is it okay? I am satisfied with this and I don't want to hurt you any more than I already have. I just want justice and now that they're in prison I got it."

"Too bad that I don't believe you." Nayeon stated and was about to walk away but Y/N grabbed Nayeon's arm and turned her around hugging her. Nayeon didn't hug back but she didn't push away either instead a tear rolled down her face. She squeezed her eyes trying to prevent her from crying but she couldn't. She loves Y/N so much that all of this really breaks her heart. Seeing Y/N, hearing her voice, thinking about how happy they were all break Nayeon's heart.

"I'm so sorry for everything. I never wanted to hurt you please believe me." Y/N hugged her ex-girlfriend tightly.

"But you did." Nayeon pushed her away and wiped her tears.

"If I could go to the past, I would've done things differently believe me but now I can't change any of these. I'm sorry." Y/N looked down.

"Sorry won't fix this, Chou Y/N. I will never forgive you for doing this to me."

"W-why?" Y/N stuttered.

"You're really asking me that?" Nayeon chuckled. "I told you everything about me, Y/N. There was nothing that I hid from you. I was so comfortable around you that I could talk openly about the abuse I was receiving at home. No one besides you knows about it, but you just revealed it to everyone. I gave my all to you, couldn't you see it? I followed your plans, went against my family and played it dirty because you told me so. I trusted you and you made me believe all your lies. You deceived me on purpose. You also knew how many times I got backstabbed in the past, fuck, you even witnessed one of it! You told me that you would never do the same and that I am safe with you, but those were all fucking lies. I think I have enough reasons to not forgive you." Nayeon explained and walked away crying. Y/N didn't even bother to stop her because she knows that she fucked up real bad.

"Unnie are you okay?" Tzuyu and Jihyo approached her.

"Yeah. Let's go home." Y/N suggested and the two girls nodded before walking away.

"Wait Y/N!" Sana ran towards them and the three girls stopped.

"These are some files about the case. I thought you'd want them." Sana handed her some papers.

"Thanks." Y/N mumbled. This is the first time that Sana sees Y/N being so vulnerable in all the years she has known her.

"Your cheek is very red. Does it hurt?" Sana asked as she held the CEO's cheek.

"It's fine." Y/N smiled weakly. Sana and Y/N really have a love-hate relationship. They used to be fuck buddies in college, but when Y/N became the CEO it all changed and the two basically started to despise one another. After Y/N revealed Mrs. Minatozaki's affair it only got worse.

"We should go now." Y/N stated and the three girls left the scene. The moment they entered their house both Y/N's parents and Chaeyoung approached them.

"We watched the news. We heard what happened." Mr. Chou informed.

"Y/N what happened to your face?" Her mother asked in worry.

"She got slapped in the face like twice." Tzuyu answered.

"What? Why?" Chaeyoung furrowed her eyebrows.

"She triggered both Mrs. Im and Nayeon." Jihyo sighed.

"Let me get some ice for you. It might bruise later on." Mrs. Chou said and went to the kitchen to get an ice pack.

"Come sit." The woman told Y/N when she came back with an ice pack. Y/N didn't say anything and just sat down as her mother placed the ice pack on her cheek.

"Are you okay, Y/N?" She asked and the moment she asked that, Y/N burst out in tears. Her mother immediately pulled her into a hug.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." She apologized as she cried in her mother's embrace. The rest of her family members watched them from afar and they all feel bad for Y/N. This wouldn't be happening if Nayeon wasn't in the picture. She's hurting because she hurt Nayeon.

"It's okay, honey." Mrs. Chou caressed Y/N's hair as she also started to cry. She can't stand to see her daughter like this.

"I don't deserve you as my mother. How can you still care about me after what I said?"

"Y/N look at me." She cupped Y/N's face. "Whatever you do or say, you'll always be my daughter. Nothing can change that. I love you, Y/N. I always will." She hugged Y/N again.

"I love you too, mom." Y/N might have said that Mrs. Chou isn't her real mother, but she didn't mean that at all. Mrs. Chou cares for Y/N like her actual daughter and Y/N has never questioned her love for her. The DNA results may say that Y/N's real mother is Mrs. Park but in Y/N's eyes it will always be Mrs. Chou.
