Chapter 12

Losing faith

Anima Lunae

"God? Why did you put me here?"

I've been screaming, my throat tightens,

my soul pours out tear by tear.

Do you hear my howls?

Are you even near?

I've been kneeling

My knees are bleeding

My heart shines brighter than the moon

But as hours go by, my prayers unnoticed

My shadow inches towards  the gloom

I've had enough

I am not that tough

I am but flesh and bones

My voice breaks, my body aches,

I fail to right my wrongs.

The gushing winds flicker the flame,

at last, the candle turns into a puddle.

With the molten wax

freezes my hope and my view becomes muddled
