Loving you
Anima Lunae
Loving you is like
dancing 'round bonfires, bare feet;
running fingers through
the bright sunlit stream,
caressing the rain-sodden trees,
a primal instinct.
Loving you is like
walking on the warm seashore,
smiling up at downpours.
Like the joy of baltering
in muddy streets,
sweet serenity.
Sometimes I wonder how
You bestow upon me such generosity
of embracing my obsidian wills
and preserving my naivety.
Without you, my love,
I don't know what I'll be.
Maybe another Andrew
lost to the sea.
stuck underwater,
a Shakespearean tragedy.

A/N: not my best, this just came to me after an afternoon nap. It was just the first paragraph that came to my mind and then I wrote the next in two days. also, did you get the merchant of Venice reference?? If you don't know, 'Andrew' was a Spanish ship, originally called 'Andrea', captured by the British but it ran aground when being brought to England. So basically 'Andrew' refers to big cargo ships. I used this because later in the scene a shipwreck is described very realistically, almost as if you could feel the devastation. I just wanted to use that in a poem. I hope you liked this. I understand if you don't... i don't either.
PS: the painting is called 'falling man' designed by Yurii Novosad
