Chapter 10

Miles's POV

I'm on my way to school right now, and then I suddenly felt a vibration through my pocket. When I checked it, it was Jade who was calling me, so I answered it immediately.

"Miles!" she said loudly. I'm wondering if she ate megaphones when she was a kid, lol. "May meeting ba mamaya?" Jade asked.

"Yes, at 10:00 ante meridiem. Anyway, do we really need to do the meeting inside the student council room? Can't we just do it somewhere else inside the campus?" I asked since I remember the story that polka-dot said yesterday about Mary.

"Ayos ka lang? Doon naman talaga sa student council room yung meeting ah? Malamang ayun kasi room nating mga student council so saan pa ba ine-expect mo? Teka nga, ayaw mo ba doon?" she asked a lot of things.

"No, I just asked. Is that even a bad thing? By the way, kindly tell the other officers regarding the meeting later. I don't want anybody to be late." I ended the call after telling those things to Jade, and then after a minute, I received a call from Camryn.

"Why did you call? We have a meeting later, so don't be late." I told her, but she just laughed. "Ito naman, puro meeting nasa utak." I got curious from what she said. "Isn't that the reason why you called me? What are you supposedly going to say?" I asked with a tone of being mataray.

"Kamusta kayo ni Aya?" she literally just asked that out of nowhere. "What about her? I mean, we're okay? I guess?" I answerd unsurely.

"Hindi pa rin kayo magkasundo 'no?" she asked, but even though we're just talking through the phone, I still rolled my eyes at what she said. "I don't know and I don't care."

"Diba kaibigan niya yung Maeve?" and now she's asking about her friend. Seriously, is this some kind of question-and-answer portion? Interview? Ugh!

"I don't know. Maybe yes? Maybe not? Why?" I asked all of those questions before she could even speak. "Daming tanong ah." she said while trying to hold her laugh. "Lakad mo 'ko." she added. Huh? Lakad? I mean, she has feet.

"Camryn, you can literally walk. You have your feet, which you can control by yourself without my help." I calmly explained to her while trying to keep myself from getting pissed. She just laughed at me so loudly, and I heard her say one word. "Bobo." lmao? The audacity of my friend to call me that when I just explained everything to her?

"Miles, ang hirap talaga magkaroon ng kaibigan na hindi marunong maka-intindi ng tagalog eh." she said with a low voice, but I can still hear her. "Whatever." I said, and after that, I ended the call.

I arrived at the campus at exactly 9:45 ante meridiem, so I decided to buy water first before going straight to the campus room. I'm too afraid to be there first, so I made sure that there were already other students inside that room. Ugh! I hate that maid. This was all her fault for making me scared.

I called my friends in our group chat to ask them if they had already arrived at the campus or if they were already inside the student council room. Gladly, they picked it up really fast.

"Are there any students in the room already?" I asked them. Gaia immediately answered my question. "Nandito na 'ko pati si Camryn." while Jade also answered. "Malapit na 'ko sa room, ilang hakbang na lang."

Knowing that my friends were already inside the room, I went there already.

Before sitting in the chair, I went near the window first, then I called polka-dot. I'm glad she answered the call. "Where are you? The meeting is going to start in a few minutes." I told her, and I heard her mocking me. "Anong pake ko? Hindi naman ako kasali sa meeting niyo dahil hindi naman ako part ng student council." She said it with a high tone. "I told you to be here." I said while using my cold voice, just for her to be afraid.

"Edi maghintay ka." After she said that, she ended the call quickly. She's really getting on my nerves.

The meeting is now starting. We've been discussing our plans for the incoming school fair on our campus.

We were assigned to be the people in charge of organizing the school fair, starting with the games, booths, stalls, and everything. Each individual in this meeting room shared their own ideas and suggestions for the school fair.

I managed to stay strong and brave throughout the entire meeting because there were so many inside this room, and it wasn't scary at all.

After the meeting had ended, they were already leaving the room one by one, until the only people left inside the room were me and Camryn.

After a couple of minutes, Camryn received a text message. No, Cam. Please don't go for now. Do not leave me here alone. Ugh! Polka-dot, where the hell are you?!

"Miles, kailangan ko nang mauna." Camryn told me while she was packing her stuff. "What? No. Don't go." I told her, hoping she'll stay.

"Anniversary kasi ng parents ko. Tsaka sa bahay ko na lang din tatapusin yung mga documents, mabilis lang din naman 'yon." Oh no, please don't. "It'll be faster if you finish it here." I hope she'll stay.

"Teka nga, natatakot ka ba?" Camryn chuckled after saying I'm scared. Because of that, I managed to push her away. And there you go, I'm now alone in the room.

I was planning to text panget to stay with me in the room while I was finishing the documents, but my phone battery died. And how great it is when I've noticed that I didn't bring any chargers with me.

As I was trying to focus on finishing the documents, I suddenly heard some whistle that scared the hell out of  me. "Who are you?!" I asked, trying to see if someone would respond. But when the wind became stronger, it made me really scared, so I ran towards the locker to hide. "Mommy!" I shouted.

I heard the door opening slowly while someone was singing some creepy song, so I began shaking more, and my heartbeat was too fast.

Suddenly, the lights went off, and it was so dark inside the room, so I decided to run quickly to get out of the room, but I saw someone with a flashlight on their face.

"WAAAAHHHH!!!"

After seeing it and screaming, we both bumped into each other, which made us fall to the floor and lose our consciousness.
