Chapter 12: Looking around

My Little Waiter! ( VOXTO FANFIC )Words: 5919

Today was not a good day, Shoto kept zoning out at random times during his break. His break and only his break, he wouldn't and doesn't allow himself to be unfocused WHILE on the job. He wouldn't stoop that low.

But nonetheless, the weird buzzing sound of the lights and the clanging of metal from chefs and costumers did piss him off a bit. It felt like everything and everyone was just a bit.. too loud. Even for Shoto.

He just wanted his shift over with and just opted to lazily clean the restaurant after the busy mess. God, none of the chefs are even batting an eye to any of the noise! They just keep going along their jobs without even a hint of annoyance showing. Shoto can only wonder how and why.

How are they so calm and why do they look so damn hot doing it- Shoto almost choked mentally when he thought of that. It was like a toilet flushing away his thoughts while it gets clogged and those thoughts just come flooding back to his head

Could you blame him? Shu looked so charismatic when he glided through the tile floor- Though, Shoto didn't know why he chose to slide on the slippery floor instead of just walking or running like other chefs but it did the job nonetheless. And he was so fucking graceful too, like an angel if Shoto were to describe it.

Shu did everything with a bit of drama, even sprinkling some cut up greens to a bowl. He did it with such confidence, like he was performing some sort of talent show. Maybe it was for costumer attraction but Shoto was sure he was also feeling an attraction, whether it be envy or platonically.

Then Ike, Ike was like a swan in the kitchen. Elegant yet so efficient. He was probably the fastest chef to do work, that could be cutting vegetables or flipping the oil to be ontop of the meat. Ike did it in full concentration yet makes it look so effortless.

And then Vox, Vox were almost all of the two men combined and maybe even more. He kept his hair tied up in a loose ponytail that flowed around when he walked. Though, his yelling does kinda cease the attractive away a bit, he still had some strong points.

He minched really really well and always manage to wear a little smile when other chefs walked by to greet a quick hello when in his station. He always straked up a conversation whenever he was doing anything, it almost seemed like he was asking for people to flock over him for a chat.

It was like the middle child wanting some attention from others. He didn't know if it was a sad or wholesome sight but a sight nonetheless.

After brieftly admiring the chefs, Shu placed down 5 plates with their destined meals for their destined people. Once again, it was beautifully presented as always and everything just complimented each other in the dish. Whether that be flavor or color, they just somehow made everything work.

As per usual, Shoto took all of the 5 plates and gave them to the customers. Shoto even found some other people cheering him on and they were complete strangers.

They would blow whistles whenever he gave out an order that wasn't even theirs! Or sometimes they would literally clap and cheer when they saw him.

Was he really that shit if others went out of their way to just boost his ego?? Shoto didn't know but the hunch was most likely correct.

He's been working almost 2 weeks already, he's in the half mark for the second week and nothing became easier. It became more harder if he was honest.

He never got use to the metals clanging, how everyone is rushing towards things like their life depended on it or just genuinely being in a hot atmosphere and just trying to keep his cool.

He was not use to this at all.  And that was probably apparent.

Still, Shoto still attempted to do things efficiently and gracefully. He didn't know if he suceeded in doing that but assumed the best cause why would you ever assume the worse, right?

He balanced two plates on his hands and another two to three along down his arms, he was glad that he was steady enough to not let any of them fall and ruin the dish that his beloved chefs worked so hard and long for.

He's seen other waiters do this so it wasn't like something he did to attract customers attention, highly the opposite. He wanted to just serve in one go and leave, he didn't wanna make a scene about him and only him.

Speaking of waiters, he really didn't interact much with the other waiters- You'd think that'd be the first person they'd go to for talking but nah, Shoto was built different I guess.

He looked around after giving the orders to see around.. 2-3 more servers? One had brown hair with darker chocolate tips and what seemed to look like electronic cat ears?? His eyes were different colors which was really fucking cool and he almost reminded him of Mysta. The excessive amount of orange with either black or white to compliment it with some flashy glasses and accessories.

A Mysta look-alike he thought to myself. Next would be a girl this time. Finally, the opposite gender. Shoto would've vocally expressed his relief to see a woman since everywhere he looks, is always filled. With. Men.

Not that he minded it, men are great- Yeah exactly, men are too great.  And Shoto didn't wanna panic on how envious he was compared to them!

It made him wanna whine.

But moving back to the girl, she was rather short and had long FUCKING gray hair that basically touched the depths of hell, though they curved in such a weird way that it basically defied gravity in itself.

Is anyone normal here?

Her eyes were a dull shade of light and dark pink with a bit of purple in the mix to give off a color that reminded him of rotten raw meat- He didn't mean it in such a tone that it sounded offensive-

She just resembled of a ghost!! Or no- Was saying that a insult??, I mean- basically the same as calling someone a zombie or maybe worse.

He didn't mean to and he should probably stop or else he'll think more "compliments" that sound like insults.

He sighed.
