Chapter 2: Interview Day

My Little Waiter! ( VOXTO FANFIC )Words: 5442

Shoto blinked a couple of times as he scrolled through his social medias. Nothing interesting has happened yet and it's been a few days since the phone call he made with the job thing. Hopefully that girl's happiness wasn't just a facade for him to have his hopes up. Though that might just be the case until he got a notification.

—Hello Shoto! This is the waitering business^^ If you don't mind, your interview will begin tomorrow afternoon at xxxx ! Hope to meet you there'

Ohh, maybe the girl's chipper mood wasn't an act. Shoto couldn't help but smile a bit from the message. Maybe he actually has a shot at this! Eek, he's excited to ace this interview.

But before so, he's gonna get some good ass sleep before the big day tomorrow. As off he went, drifting to sleep as he dreamt of whatever shit he could possibly think of.

Welp, it's the next day and Shoto was ready for his interview. He didn't really know what type of restaurant it was so picking an outfit was a bit of a task. Nonetheless, he opted for his usual fit which was a black turtleneck with some chain necklaces and cargo black pants and held his dagger just incase.

Alright! You got this Shoto, you're gonna fucking ace this!

He ran out of the guild as he waved his goodbyes and farewells to his mates. Everyone gave him a little goodluck and word of advice before his leave which calmed his nerves down a bit.

He hoped on a bus as he awaited his journey to his maybe soon-to-be job as a waiter! Eek, he knows that he'll most likely just be serving up plates but it was still an exciting concept in his mind.

He finally made it to the place as his skin burned with passion and excitement before he leaped out of the bus and ran full speed to the building.

He sat down the little waiting longue as it seemed like quite a bit of people actually signed up too. Shit, well looks like he has competition which wasn't much of an issue to Shoto. He was always the competitive one amongst the group and it shows.

But at this given point and time, he just cared to plug his headset to his phone and listen to some jams as he waited his name to be called.

He tapped his toe in the beat of the song as he hummed everytime his favorite part starts. Closing his eyes and just letting go of his nerves and surroundings, almost like he was drifting off the space or in a calm ocean that only had him and his thoughts.

Though, this feeling soon stopped as he was reverted back to his senses when he heard his name get called. He calmly stood up and turned off his phone and made his way to the office doors.

He walked in and to be greeted with a warm smile from the lady who he assumed was the one he talked to and a man who was sitting on a chair in the middle of the room alongside his desk.

Bookshelves and little souvenirs were scattered around and it kind off felt cold and distant yet also safe and comforting? Both opposite things but feel like they both click in the atmosphere.

The girl gave a little thumbs up and a silent goodluck to Shoto before closing the door. "Take a seat." The man said who the purple haired boy assumed would be the one to interview him.

He sat down comfortably as he finally looked up at the man sitting infront of him with papers in hand and a desk filled with files and folders. Damn, this fucker is organized.

As Shoto got a better look, he noticed the man had long black hair and eyes that seem to change color or at least hue depending on where you see it from. Sometimes it shined gold and sometimes it showed a rosey tint to them. It was quite mesmerizing if he was rightfully honest.

"So, your name is Shoto correct?" The male asked with a voice that seemed a bit more deeper than what Shoto anticipated at first.

He nodded. "Yes, Shoto is my name" He said with a smile which caused the taller male to give back a small short smile.

"Well, my name is Vox Akuma. I'll be your boss if you do pass this interview." He said calmly as he parted the paper files within his hands.

"So tell me Shoto. Have you had any catering experiences or anything remotely similar?"

The boy thought for a bit before finally answering. "Well, I am experienced in balancing things such as fragile objects so catering plates wouldn't be much of a task if I'm honest.. And I'm fairly certain I'm social enough to interact with guest if needed" He said. Yeah, his answer seemed right.. He hoped he didn't say anything wrong at least-

Vox purred out a hum as he gave light nods. "Okay, tell me your strengths and weaknesses, Shoto" He smiled as he said those words which caused Shoto to panic unknowingly.

"Well, I feel like all my strengths are also my weaknesses. Like —I can think quick but sometimes others can't catch up thus makes chaos. I feel like I have decent standard strengths and weaknesses that can definitely be improved on!" He said in a motivated voice as he fidgted with his fingers.

"I see, good to know." Akuma said before asking more questions alongside rules of the job. Shoto nodded and understood all of the needed information as the interview was finally over. Lasted around an hour or so which he thought was oddly long for an interview but whatever. He waved a goodbye to his soon boss and greeted the lady by the door a farewell aswell.

I think that went pretty well. Welp, only time can tell I guess. He went back to the guild as he fucking crashed at the couch and slept his ass off.
