Chapter 1308:
After thinking it overâhaving already discussed with Noel earlierâHarlee decided against a farewell. âLet Noel know I wonât be seeing him off. Tell him to handle his business quickly and return to Baythorn as soon as he can.â Her relationship with Noel was long enough that they could skip the formalities.
âUnderstood.â Robbieâs response was followed by his footsteps fading away, and silence enveloped the outside once again.
âYouâre not going to see Noel off?â Rhys, leaning his hands on the table, lifted an eyebrow and smiled teasingly.
Harlee gave an exasperated roll of her eyes and lightly moved his hands away from the papers, half-jokingly saying, âI worry you might get jealous again!â
Saying this, she immersed herself in the new data that had just come in, clearly indicating she had no intention of stepping outside.
Then, quite abruptly, Rhys stood up, closed her laptop, took her by the hand, and began leading her out of the room. âGo ahead. I wonât get jealous this time.â
Noel would be gone for at least half a month. Rhys wanted Noel to observe Harleeâs condition more closely.

âThatâs not like you,â Harlee teased.
Rhys then lowered his head, gave her a deep kiss on the cheek, and smiled broadly. âIâm feeling quite happy right now.â
Harlee felt a bit doubtful. Nonetheless, she didnât object, as she needed to check with Noel about her tasks for the upcoming half-month while he was away.
âIn that case, Iâll head out.â As Harlee spoke, she glanced at Rhys to gauge his sincerity before swiftly exiting the bedroom. She understood that Rhys was intentionally giving her and Noel some private time to converse. Normally, considering his close relationship with Noel, Rhys would have joined her to bid Noel farewell.
âYouâve come.â Noel didnât seem surprised that Harlee came to see him off.
âDid Rhys ask you to observe my condition one more time?â Harlee asked straightforwardly.
âIt seems nothing gets past you,â Noel responded with a smile and a nod. âIâll be away for half a month. Heâs concerned he might miss something, so he wanted me to examine you before I left.â
Upon hearing this, Harlee smiled and asked, âYou didnât intend to keep this from me, did you?â
âI wanted to keep it secret, but it was impossible.â Noel acknowledged he should have adhered to his agreement with Rhys by keeping it from Harlee, but she was too perceptive. Even his attempts at secrecy were futile. âEnough. From now on, just communicate with Rhys like you usually do. Thereâs no need to tell me about it,â Harlee instructed.
âUnderstood,â Noel replied.
Suddenly, a message popped up on Noelâs phone. After reading the content, he quickly started outlining the arrangement for Harlee, as though he was eager to get going.
âHave you got all that? While Iâm gone these next two weeks, just carry on as usual.â
âWhat?â Harlee was surprised.
âMental health tends to get better gradually, with time and patience. Dwelling on it will only make things harder. Believe me, Iâll help you get through this,â he said with a serious tone, his earnest gaze reinforcing his words.
