I could not believe my eyes when I went inside the dark, huge and a lavish party hall.
There were so many celebrity attendees. There were burlesque dancers, aerial artists and a musical performance going on.
At the right side, there was whisky lounge serving different types of drinks and delicious food.
It is a lavish bash! A star-studded party!
I saw Alex. He was surrounded by girls and he was taking picture with all of them. In almost every picture he was flaunting his watch as if he never wore a watch before.
He looked stupid doing all that!
"Stop staring!", Luiz said by gritting his teeth.
I turned and glared at him.
"Lara!", I heard Alex scream from behind.
I turned back.
"You are the shine of this party. You look damn sexy!" he said.
He came closer to me and stared at me from top to bottom as if he will eat me up.
Yuck! He is drunk already.
"How do you know that I love red?", he asked.
I was surprised!
"Just a coincidence.", I replied shortly.
"Everyone knows that I love red colour including Luiz.", he said chuckling.
"Yeah I still remember you running around your house in those red underwears of yours till the age of ten years.", Luiz said sarcastically.
Now I understood why Luiz was annoyed of me wearing a red dress.
Alex's smile faded away.
"Here is your gift.", Luiz took out a small box and put it in Alex's hand harshly.
"Man, oh man! The contract that was supposed to go to you is mine now. What else can be a better gift than that?", he said proudly and kept the box in his jacket pocket.
"Had it been not for Portia, I wouldn't have been here.", Luiz hissed.
"It doesn't matter to me if you attend or not.", Alex shrugged his shoulders.
Then he winked at me and left.
"Hey Luiz!", Portia said.
She dressed in a black dress which was cut very low.
"How do I look? You know I gifted a Rolex to Alex", she said smilingly.
"You are always beautiful Portia.", he said with a genuine smile.
"I know. Eric is here.", she said.
"Oh my god! Where is that mofo I want to meet him right now.", Luiz said it very cheerfully. All the sadness in him was lost.
They both headed towards the whisky lounge leaving me alone. I saw few of the girls in the party leaving Alex and following Luiz.
I just wanted to sit somewhere in a corner.
I was looking around. Everyone was dancing like crazy and there was no place to sit except for the lounge. So, I headed to the lounge.
Then I saw a very cute girl wearing a golden dress. It was Annie!
My Annie! My lovely sis Annie!
I went to her. I don't care if she is angry on me. But I want to speak to her once.
"Annie.", I said.
She was with a very handsome young guy.
"Lara!", she said surprised.
Tears made their way out of my eyes.
"Awww Lara, I miss you so much.", she said and for the first time she hugged me.
My little sister hugged me! She was never this affectionate to me.
"Life is so tough without you. We hired four maids and still, none of them work perfectly. Even I am doing a lot of work. See I have lost a lot of weight!", she said.
"I feel so bad!", I said.
"You must be living an amazing life! You look more radiant now!", she said.
"Thank you.", I said.
"How is life?", she asked.
"Its fine.", I said without digging much about it.
"How is mom?", I asked.
"She stays more angry and restless now. She used to take all her frustration on you. But now there is no one. Her health is also worsening! She is no more that healthy woman.", she said feeling sad.
"What happened to her?", I asked, concerned about her.
No matter how she treated me, she was still my dad's wife and Annie's mom. I hate to admit but I did feel bad after knowing about her health.
"She has become weak.", Annie replied.
"Shall we dance?", I heard Luiz asking me from behind.
"Sure.", I said with dreamy eyes and wiped my tears.
I was nervous!
As soon as we went to the dance floor, Luiz brought my body closer to him and started dancing to the tune.
I tried to match him but it was difficult. He turned me around and brought me closer this time.
Our foreheads were touching. It was like we were breathing the same air.
He then smiled at me in a very different manner.
It was flirty and drugging!
I smiled back. Then he started making dance steps in a different direction, literally swaying at the tune.
He is such an amazing dancer!
I accidentally stepped his leg. But he didn't mind at all!
He brought me close again and this time I kept staring at him in admiration as he kept looking at me with the flirty smile on his face. There was some kind of tension between us.
"Let's go from here.", he said.
He held my hand and dragged me from the dance floor.
I didn't miss Alex glaring at us.
From how long was he watching us?
Luiz took me under a small tree in the backyard.
He fisted my hair.
I was surprised when his lips came in contact with my neck.
He harshly sucked against the skin of my neck. His tongue was continuously flicking my neck and again he sucked harder.
I gasped with an unexplained feeling in the pit of my stomach.
I held his shoulders for balance as I was not able to feel my legs anymore.
After continuously kissing near my neck, he left me and my back hit the tree.
I stared at him shocked and he stared back at me with some satisfied expression after looking at my neck.
All this was something which was beyond my expectations from him. Does it mean he loves me?
He started walking back leaving me alone over there.
My mouth went dry. I decided to go back to the hall. But I saw Alex standing merely a few meters away from the tree.
Shit! It was so embarrassing! Did he see?
He came to me and stared at my neck. His eyebrows came together.
Why is he staring my neck like that?
"Luiz is using you to make me mad Lara. Don't fall in his trap. He very well knew that I would follow you both.", he said all broken.
"Then don't follow us. Mind your business!", I said and started walking away.
Was he really using me?
