I agree that Maria was not a really great person but I felt very bad seeing her in that condition.
I walked out of her room with heavy heart.
"Lara.", I heard Annie calling me.
I didn't turn back.
I can never forgive her. She backstabbed me!
"Lara please.", she said and placed her hand on my shoulder.
I moved her hand away and turned back.
"Don't you ever show your face to me.", I said frustrated.
"I am sorry. I know what I did was wrong. I realized it after the guy whom I dated left me.", she said.
Who is he? How dare he do that to my sister?
"Who is he?", I asked controlling my anger.
"Leave it. I don't care anymore.", she said.
"I am extremely sorry. Alex is one my good friends since school. I hated you so much for marrying Luiz. So he asked me a favour that night and I agreed to him.", she added.
"If we have some misunderstandings we should probably sit and talk rather than taking revenge.", I said blatantly.
"I am sorry. I couldn't tolerate the fact that you married the person I was supposed to marry. The most eligible bachelor. After your marriage everything turned topsy and turvy. We hired so many servants. But no one served like you. Mom was the one managing everything. I thought that she lost her charm and beauty while you are enjoying a rich and a magnificent life.", she said and paused.
She is brainless!
"Rich life is not as magnificent as you think. You have to be on your toes all the time. These fake news and tabloids would give you tough time. Its not fancy!", I said.
"Hmm. I just kind of lost it. But I realized my mistake now. Please forgive me.", she said.
"I don't know if I can forgive you Annie.", I said.
"Please.", she said.
"Take care of Maria.", I said and walked off.
I met my dad and told that I was leaving..
One of the care takers was with grandma.
I had a lot of work to do so I decided to go back home.
When I walked out of the hospital, I was surprised to see Luiz there.
"What are you doing here? Did you not leave yet?", I asked.
"Oh no! I was waiting for you.", he said and winked his eye.
"For what?", I asked him.
"Sit in the car.", he said.
"I want to know where you are taking me to.", I insisted.
"I will not eat you up. So just come.", he said irritatingly.
I went and sat and he drove the car.
We arrived at a restaurant which was very simple.
"Get down.", he said.
I followed him.
We ordered Feijoada, fafora, soup, salad, pasta, rice and beans.
"So, how is the work going?", he asked.
"I am sure I cannot learn everything about the project at once but I am trying to cover the maximum I can.", I said.
"So, when are you coming back home?", he asked.
"Why do you think I will come back after what you did that night?", I asked angrily.
Does he think everything is so easy?
"I have apologized so many times by now. Still you have not changed your mind?", he asked.
"Luiz, thinking of what you did that night still makes my blood boil and cold sweat runs down my spine.", I said.
He took a deep breath.
Meanwhile the food arrived.
"The food looks good.", I said to divert the topic and his mind.
"Well, I lost my appetite.", he said and stood up.
"Sit.", I commanded.
Yes! I commanded Mr. Luiz Cardoso!
"No. You enjoy the meal.", he said.
"I said sit.", I told after rolling my eyes.
He thankfully sat down.
He was angry!
But who cares?
"I told you that I was not being me that night.", he said.
"Can we just stop discussing that?", I asked as I lost my temper.
"We should talk.", he said.
Oh god! I have lot of work and he is wasting my time!
"Okay. What do you want?", I asked.
"I want you to come back to my life.", he said.
"Okay I will think about it.", I said.
He gave me a smile.
I tried avoiding it as much as possible.
"Shall we have food now?", I asked him.
"Yeah sure.", he said.
After having food, he came to drop me home.
I walked towards my home.
I heard his footsteps behind me.
I looked back and saw him.
So he is coming inside.
Oh no! nobody is at home!
So what?
I will stay in my limits.
As I walked in, I was about to close the door, but he said, "I will close it."
"Would you like to have something?", I asked him.
Dumb! You just had lunch!
"Yeah.", he said with a devilish smile on his face.
"What will you have?", I asked him.
"Will you give me anything I want?", he asked.
Oh no! This conversation is going in a wrong direction.
I turned back to run to my room but he managed to pull me in his circle of arms.
My back was pressed against his torso and his hold was tight!
"Luiz please leave. I have lot of work to do.", I said as I was struggling.
"I miss you so much!", he said.
I felt his breath fanning my ear.
His breath was raging.
He pulled my hair gently, brought my head back and kissed me for long time, like there is no tomorrow.
I broke the kiss as my neck was hurting.
I turned back and he started kissing me again.
He didn't let me go for long. After sometime, his hands slid under my top. I could feel his hands on my waist.
I pushed him away.
"Luiz stop it! I am not ready for all this.", I said.
We both were panting.
"I am sorry!", he said as he raked his hands through his hair.
"I am so sorry.", he said again.
"It's better if you leave.", I told.
"No, I can't. Please let me stay with you. I promise I won't do anything which is against your wish.", he said.
I failed to convince him.
Later, Luiz helped me with the understanding of the project till evening.
I could cover so many aspects.
It was a tiring day!
