Chapter 34: Chapter 33

***THIRD POV***

" Greetings your highness," Elijah said stepping forward towards Lysander

" Hello, do you have a room I can put my mother in," Lucious asked

" Yes, of course, follow me," Arabella said, leading Lucious towards the second floor

"Well this just became more complicated" Mumbled Theo as he went to take a seat on the couch

" Why would be more complicated?" Asked Jude as he sat next to Theo

Nesrin and Bram moved to the kitchen to start moving all the food they had made into the living room

"Because her majesty is here" Elijah replied taking a seat on the other side of Theo

After a couple of minutes, Lucious and Arabella made their way downstairs

" I know this probably is not the plan you had in mind," Lucious said as he went to take a seat in front of Elijah

Meanwhile, Arabella, Nesrin, and Bram sat next to Lucious

" It's not honesty, bringing her majesty outside of the palace is a big offense," Elijah said

" Also is bringing me outside as well," Lucious said as he began to pick up his cup of tea

" But first let me ask you, is everyone in this household trustworthy" He continued while sipping his tea

"Yes, I would not have brought them otherwise, the young man next to my sister is Bram, he is our magician" Elijah replied gesturing to Bram

" It is a pleasure to meet you, your highness" Bram replied bowing his head to Lucious

" Thank you but let's skip the formalities, after all, we do not have much time," Lucious said as he put his cup of tea down

" Very well, what is it your highness hopes to accomplish," Elijah asked

" I will become the next king, and I assume you will become the next heir," Lucious asked

" That is where I would need your help, you must know our situation that we are not legitimate children but at least on paper we are" Elijah continued

"And that is where you would need my support right" Lucious replied

"Yes but first it seems you are the one who needs our support" Theo replied

Which resulted in glare from Arabella

" That's true, well it seems we both need each other and I am grateful for being able to have gotten my mother out from the palace," Lucious said

" And what is your plan regarding your mother, won't his majesty be upset?" Arabella asked

" Honestly I just knew I had to get my mother out, as you all know the Queen hates my mother and I, making our lives impossible," Lucious said with much menace in his voice

" We can understand wanting to free your mother," Jude said smiling

" Besides now that my mother is outside of harm I can truly focus on the classes I share with Lucious," Lucious said

" You both take classes together?" Elijah asked surprised

"Yes, it was his majesty's ideas and because I did not want anymore mistreatment from the Queen, I do terribly compared to him" Lucious replied

" That's understandable, well now we need to come up with a plan," Elijah said, taking out his notebook

" Firstly, we have found a way to teleport you from the palace to this safe house, Bram will be giving you a small object that you must carry with you at all times ---

" --But what about the magic barrier imposed on the palace for protection" Lucious quickly asked

" I have looked into that barrier and whatever magic enters is instantly stopped but if the magic shield goes down and this object is activated then the spell has no effect" Bram answered

" And how will the barrier be stopped?" Lucious asked

" I will handle that when I drop you off" Bram answered

" Secondly, concerning your mother, she can stay here at this safe house or if you have another place in mind we can make those arrangements" Elijah continued

" This place is fine, plus this way I can see her whenever I want" Lucious answered

" Thirdly, in order for you to be crowned the next king we need supporters, and you must win his majesty's favor" Elijah finished

" I will do everything I can to make that happen, and regarding my mother who will tend to her meanwhile she stays here," Lucious asked

" Olivia will stay here to tend to her, Liliana will stay and work in the palace because if something happens she will be able to contact you" Elijah replied

" Thank you for everything honestly," Lucious  said getting up from the couch

" Your welcome, and now it is time for Bram to return with you to the palace. If everything goes well with getting the object to work then we can meet as many times as needed and of course, you can visit your mother as often as you want" Elijah continued

" Yes that's true, I will go see if my mother woke up so that I can explain the situation to her" Lucious replied

"Of course, I will supply regular holy water for her majesty until we can get in touch with a trustworthy doctor" Elijah continued as Lucious made his way upstairs

All the Lion's began cleaning up and speaking to Olivia and Lilliana regarding the future steps

*** Lucious POV***

As I made my way upstairs I couldn't help but think from now on things were going to be different

I opened the room to find that my mother had woken up and was sitting on her bed

" Mother you woke up," I said as I made my way to sit next to her

" Lucious, where am I?" She asked

I quickly summarized everything that happened downstairs

" But I can't leave you alone in the palace," My mother said

" Mom, it's going to fine. I am not a child I know how to protect myself and now I can protect you too" I said taking her hand in mine

" I will still come to see you every day and we will begin the treatment for your illness, so please do not worry," I said

" ...Alright, but if anything happens please come back here," She said squeezing my hand lightly

We said our goodbyes and I made my way downstairs to return to the palace

" Your highness, it was a pleasure speaking with you tonight and let's gather again next Friday to discuss any new developments," Elijah said as he starts to see me out

The rest of the Lions also said their goodbyes and I left with Bram

" Is the carriage going to take us back to the palace?" I asked once we were outside

" No, hold on to my staff I am going to teleport us there " Bram said as I held on to the top of the staff

Suddenly I felt as if I was falling and I shut my eyes out of instinct

When I reopened them we were outside the palace but still far away enough that we could not be seen

" So what's the plan?" I asked

" Now you just have to watch this and follow me when I move," He said taking some things out from his pockets

" This is the object that will let you teleport," Bram said as he handed me a dark green gem as large as my hand

" How will it work?," I asked

" You will repeat an incantation while holding it in your hand and it will automatically teleport you" He replied as he began to prepare a spell

" Now be ready," He said as we made our way closer to the palace

" The barrier around the palace starts from here, my spell will overload it and hopefully it will breakdown," Bram said getting ready

" Hopefully?" I said, just as Bram stuck his spell to the barrier and you could see it start to make sparks against each other

Quickly the whole barrier began to catch fire and I was suddenly pulled by Bram and we teleported to my bedroom

He started to enchant the object

" It has been activated and I will be leaving now since the grand wizard will begin to close the barrier back up and start looking for who did this" Bram told me as he handed me the object

" I understand, thank you," I said

He left and I was all alone in my room

I went to my window and the fire was all gone now

I knew I had to be ready for anything as this was only the beginning
