Sorry I haven't been updating! I'm having writer's block and struggling with how to end the story. Not giving up. Just trying to make it perfect! Comment if you have any suggestions.

Luz lies in bed, exhausted from the day she has had. Yesterday she reinstated petrification, and let's just say some witches weren't particularly happy about it. Luz hasn't been able to see any of her friends due to her going over all the prisoners to be petrified in three days. Luz was honestly nervous about what her close friends will think. Nothing good, right?
Lilith hasn't returned yet and Eda hasn't made contact either. Luz wants to make amends but now is scared to face both of them.
Luz is lost in her conflicted emotions when the Titan decides to speak "Luz! Go to bed and let's have a chat. I have a lot I would like to say to you." Luz doesn't groan or even fight the urge. She simply gives into the Titan's wishes.

"What do you want?" Her voice isn't hostile or cold. It only has exhaustion and fear in it.
The Titan sits in his cage, internally smiling at the human's vulnerability "I hear all of your thoughts rambling on about a million different things. Would you like to talk about them?"
Luz looks at the Titan confused. Should she really trust the Titan after everything he's done. She really can't tell. First, he tries to help her with her memories. Then, he possesses' her body and tries to take over the Boiling Isles. But he did give her his magic and teach her how to use it. The human is torn and can't think straight.
"How do I know I can trust you? You've proven yourself to be difficult at times." Luz says while looking at the floor.
The Titan shifts in his cage trying to hear Luz's thoughts, but failing. Whenever Luz is asleep and talking to the Titan 'in person' her thoughts go silent "Luz, I am a prisoner in your mind. What could I possibly do? Unless you want to undo this silly enchantment and let me go?"
Luz scolds the Titan "Yeah. Like I'm going to do that."
"Why not?" The Titan pushes ever so slightly "I would finally be out of your head constantly. I would have no magic considering you have it. I don't have a body to live in. Unless you can find a body for me which would be insane." He looks down trying to bait Luz.
Luz takes the bait, falling for his manipulation "Wait. What do you mean 'find you a body?'"
He smiles menacingly "Luz I can possess people with their permission. But if the host happens to be dead, it's free real estate."
"So if I can find you a body." Luz thinks aloud, abandoning all rational thought, which was conveniently being blocked by the Titan "Then you can be a physical prisoner and not trapped in my head, annoying me every second!" Luz now looks up like this was a good plan.
The Titan pats himself on the back, impressed at how easily it was to manipulate the human into his plan "Either way, I'm your prisoner. I'd just rather be alive, and not stuck inside a fourteen-year-old girl's head, with all of your gay thoughts!"
"Hey! Stay out of my head!" Luz blushes in embarrassment, knowing exactly what thoughts he's speaking of.
"I can't. I'm trapped here. That is until you release me into another prison." The Titan tries to sell his act by looking disappointed.
Luz turns from the Titan thinking. What if she put the Titan in a body, and petrified him? Then he would be gone for good and would never have to deal with his annoying voice again! But what if she loses control of her powers again? No other witch can help her and teach her how to control it. The Titan may be crazy, but he knows everything about, the Boiling Isles, the magic it radiates, all of its secrets. He even talks about something called the day of unity? Whatever that means.
"I'll think about it. But for now, you have to deal with all of my gay thoughts!" Luz turns back and smirks.
The Titan lets out a small laugh and dismisses the subject, knowing not to sound too desperate "So, have a first date planned with Amity yet?"
Heat rises to Luz's cheeks at the mention of her witch and her gay panic is cranked up "W- whaaaat! I mean. Amity Blight! Am I Ty! Date....."
The Titan bursts out into laughter "Human! Relax! Do something unforgettable." He stops and thinks for a moment "Oooo! Take her on a picnic and go stargazing! Great for make-outs!"
Luz is now a beat red and has stopped breathing. She hates to admit it, but the Titan makes a great suggestion. He makes it so hard to not trust him. What's next? Advice on how to have se- WAIT! Luz shakes her head of her thoughts and finally breathes "Nice... nice suggestion... I- I'll definitely consider that for... my date with... Amity."
"You do that. And Luz." Luz looks at the Titan dead in the eyes "Really think about what we talked about. You can wake up now. It's moring, and Kikimora will knock on your door in 3... 2... 1..."

*KNOCK*KNOCK*KNOCK*
"Empress. It's morning and you've seemed to sleep in. Get up now, and attend to your duties. I will await your company in the throne room." Kiki's footsteps are heard walking away.
Luz opens her eyes, still tired and still conflicted. As if the petrification wants enough stress already, Luz now has the opportunity to free the Titan from her mind and get rid of him once and for all. Luz quickly cast a spell on her head, to stop the Titan from hearing her thoughts anymore.
As she does this the Titan speaks up "Luz. What am I supposed to listen to now?"
Luz rolls her eyes, while she gets ready for the day and talks out loud "Get over it. You don't really have a say in the matter." And with that, Luz was off to another day as the empress of the Isles.
The human's day was really short. She just went over a couple of things before calling it a day. Luz's favorite part was actually having lunch with Odalia after she was finished in the throne room. The two aren't close or anything, but Luz resorts to talking to her because she's filling in for Lilith and Kiki is just a stick in the mud most days.
Luz is basically Odalia's therapist these past two days. Giving advice on how she can be more supportive towards her family in general, and toward Amity. Luz tries her best to help the eager mother but struggles considering she's never even had a mother figure growing up. Speaking with the Blight mother has made Luz realize, more than ever, that she wants to meet Camilla. She doesn't know when or where, but hopefully one day Eda will agree to bring her back to the human realm to meet her biological human mother.
The two are enjoying lunch when the empress asks a question "Mrs. Blight, may I ask you a strange question?"
"Anything empress."
Luz holds her breath for a slight second, wondering if she should say anything "What are your thoughts on the Titan?"
The Blight takes in the question, and really ponders "We live on the Titan's fallen body. His corpse gives us all the supplies we need to live happy, healthy lives. His magic flows through everyone and everything. He should be exalted by every witch. Why do you ask?"
Should she go telling everyone about their connection? Luz looks down and contemplates whether she can trust Odalia. I guess after their discussion yesterday, Luz can talk to her. "I talk to him every night. And now I have this... opportunity to-" should she say it? What if Odalia says something to someone? Luz has to talk to someone about it and Lilith doesn't seem to be coming back "bring him back to life in a body. I don't know that I could trust him to do that. I can tell he's not a good witch."
Odalia goes wide-eyed. Shocked, the witch speaks, trying to fill the silence taking over the room "Empress, that is a major decision to make. But if I may be honest, I'm not sure that's such a good idea. The Titan has been dead for eons. I think by him coming back to life, he might have ulterior motives. Especially with a human using his power. I would think he would do anything to take his power back."
"Yes. I suppose you are right. But what if we hold him prisoner? Then he wouldn't be much of a threat." Luz is now pleading for him? She so desperately wants him out of her head, she's not thinking clearly.
"Empress..." Odalia looks at Luz with concern traced in her voice "As I've said. He's been around a long time. I don't think a couple of chains will stop him. But then again, I'm not the one who talks to him. Maybe you have a deeper connection with him where he would listen to you. But What would I know."
Luz furrows her eyebrows, thinking hard. All she wants is a clear head, and one single night of sleep, without the sight of the Titan in a cage. Luz gets up from the table as she finished her lunch "Thank you, Mrs. Blight. This was helpful. You can have the rest of the day of considering all work has been finished."
Odalia also stands and bows toward Luz "Thank you my liege. Shall I be expecting you over soon? I'm sure my children would love your company."
Luz smiles, knowing one particular Blight would love her company. Heat rises to the human's cheeks, and she turns looking away from Odalia, trying to still be professional "Hopefully soon." Luz walks out the dining hall, leaving behind a smirking mother.
Luz walks down the halls with her scroll phone in her hand, and sweaty palms "Ok Luz, you're going to call her, and ask her out! That easy! You can do this!" Luz gives herself a pep talk while the guards laugh at the human's ambition "Ok... Ready... Go!" Luz presses the call button and waits a moment as it rings.
Ring....
Ring....
Ring....
"Hello?"
"Amity! Hi, it's Luz! You know the human!" Luz cringes at herself while she waits for the witch to answer.
Amity laughs over the phone "Yes Luz I know who you are. Is everything ok? Your voice is shaking."
"Shaking? The only thing that's shaking is me shaking all the bad vibes away." Luz facepalms her forehead, internally screaming at her awkwardness.
"What?"
"Nothing! Forget!" Luz groans out loud "Amity..." She struggles to get the next couple lines out "You... Me... Go and food? Tomorrow night?"
Silence.
"H- Hello? Amity? Are you still there?"
"Luz. Are you asking me out on a date?" Luz couldn't see it, but as Amity said this, Luz just imagined her whole face turning red.
"Yes. I Luz, am asking you, Amity, out on a date. BuT yOu CaN sAy No If YoU dOn'T wAnT tO!!!!!"
Amity takes a moment to answer, but does so with her shaky voice matching Luz's "NO! I would like that a lot. Tomorrow night?"
Luz's face is now burning hot. If you cracked an egg, it would cook in a matter of seconds "GREAT! Yes so. Yeah! I'll come by around six?"
"Six. Perfect! I'll be ready."
"Great! I'll see you then."
"Ok. Bye Luz."
The phone hangs up and Luz puts her scroll phone away into her gown. She stands frozen, shocked she just did that. Then a smile creeps up on the human's face, and Luz screams in celebration in the middle of the hallway. She jumps and jumps, and just laughs in pure joy. Luz jumps over to a guard stationed at one of the doors and grabs her hand to celebrate with her. "I DID IT!!! I ASKED HER OUT AND SHE SAID YES!!!" Luz continues to jump, taking the guard with her. The guard jumps with Luz and congratulates her.
