Is this getting too long and boring? Losing a little motivation. I feel like my writing is lacking lately. Lmk what you guys think. Hopefully, it's the writer's block talking.

Lilith sits in her sister's unusual living room. She sits there, a little stiff with the news she has and doesn't know how to tell Edalyn without her blowing something up. Lilith struggles to find a comfortable spot on the couch while Eda makes two glasses of apple blood.
"You want it in a fancy glass I stole from that fancy restaurant? Or just a mug?" Eda screams from the kitchen.
Lilith rolls her eyes at her sister's criminal record and calmly responds "Edalyn, it doesn't matter. Just hurry up. I have some... News." Lilith now fidgets with her fingernails as she tries and thinks of ways this could possibly go.
The Owl Lady walks into the room with both hands occupied with glasses that looked like they were a fortune. Eda smirked knowing exactly what Lilith thinks of her stealing, but continues to give her the drink like nothing was wrong. Eda sits next to her sister and crosses her legs "Ok, now that I have my drink, what did you come here to talk about?"
Lilith downs her drink and cringes instantly "EDALYN! Your ratio for alcohol is... Wow... I'm definitely going to feel that later."
"Lilly you're supposed to enjoy the drink! Not finish it in one sip!" Eda is now laughing, trying to annoy her sister as much as possible "Well now that I know how your day is going. Spit out what you have to say. I have places to be, people to con!"
Lilith catches her breath and puts down her empty glass. She turns to Eda and looks directly into her golden eyes "So as you know I'm taking some time off work after witnessing Luz's... Bad side." The two get chills from the memory and Lilith continues "So that means Odalia is taking over my position and keeping me updated on all of the meetings."
Eda interrupts and scoffs "Ug! They let greeny's mother step up? What did that witch do now? Don't tell me! Let me guess... Is the age to join a coven lowered? Poor Blight kids."
"Edalyn no. Just listen for one second!" Lilith grabs her younger sister's attention which now looks worried "I don't know how to say this, but... Luz has made a declaration to reinstate the petrification process to criminals who are deemed unsafe to the commonwealth. Luz will personally choose each month from a list of prisoners who fit the profile. I just thought you should hear it from me before you heard it in town." Lilith looks at her now pissed-off sister.
Eda is angry. There's no other way to put it. If she could, her eyes would resemble Luz's eyes on Grom night. "That WITCH!" Eda stands and downs her apple blood. She then throws the glass, shattering it on the door.
The door swings open, and Hooty wines "HEEEYYYYY! WATCH WHERE YOU THROW YOUR GLASSES!!"
Eda raises her hand and just points at Hooty "Shut it Hooty!"
"Geez. All I want is a little respect. Just throw it at the fireplace next time. Ow. HOOT!" Hooty swings the door shut leaving the fuming witch and her sister alone.
"Odalia knew exactly what she was going to do. Wait for you to leave and jump at the chance to manipulate the kid into doing her dirty work." Eda growls and continues to rant, leaving Lilith to watch helplessly "Oh I'm gonna... I'm gonna kick her where the sun don't shine. Then I'm gonna... I'm gonna... I don't know!! I can't think I'm so mad!!"
Lilith stands in place and sighs "Edalyn." Eda looks up at her sister, still filled with rage "As much as I want to blame the Blight. The only one who can actually make a ruling is Luz. She is just as responsible, if not more for this."
Eda gets red "You can't blame her! She's been manipulated her whole life that poor kid! She needs a real family, not just the coven! Being empress is too much for her! Luz is just a kid! She needs..." Eda comes up with an idea. She suddenly calms down and calls out "OWLBERT!!!" Her trusty staff comes flying through the house and hits the Owl Lady in the head before landing in her hands.
Lilith looks at her concerned "Where are you going?"
Eda rubs her head where Owlbert collided "Something I should have done a long time ago! You coming?" Eda looks for something, looking like she's finally gone off the deep end.
Lilith can't move. Truth be told she's scared to move, not wanting to set off Eda in any way "And where is that?
Eda screams in victory and holds up a key and looks at her sister "We're going to the human realm!"

Luz scrimmages through her closet for something to wear. She only has one casual outfit Eda gave her from the human realm, a fancy tux, and her official empress gown wear. That's it! Well if you count her school uniform, Luz has nothing to wear for her date with Amity. All she was going to do was go stargazing with a picnic. Nothing fancy or anything.
Luz paces around tripping over her gown and faceplanting onto the floor. This would usually stop someone, but the pain suddenly gave Luz an idea. "BOSCHA! She's stylish. Right? I'll invite Willow over too just in case Boscha tries to kill me or anything. Wait but they're in school. Eh, who cares I'm the empress, I'll just send some guards over to pick them up early and bring them here!" Luz jumps from the floor and orders two guards to take Boscha and Willow out of Hexside and to bring them directly to her chambers as soon as possible!
An hour passes and Luz just continues to pace her room back and forth, until a knock appears on the door. "My liege. The two Hexside students you asked for."
Luz stops pacing and smiles "Let them in!"
The guard opens the door and reveals two witches, one in a green uniform, another in a yellow. "Heyyyy girl. Sweet crib. When are you hosting a sleepover? My Penstagram followers would be so jealous. Wait let me post right now!" Boscha holds up her phone and takes a selfie with Luz and Willow standing awkwardly in the background. "Ok we need to work on your selfie poses later."
Willow rolls her eyes and laughs at Boscha's obsession with her image. The witch turns to her human friend "So what's up. It's not every day the emperor's coven comes and takes you out of school early. Everything ok?"
Luz goes back to pacing back and forth and fidgets with her gloves "Well I have a date with Amity tonight and-"
Boscha and Willow both look at Luz and yell in unison "You're going on a date with Amity?!"
"Yes!" Luz continues to pace "And I was caught up in the moment when I realized I have nothing to wear! I can't wear this." Luz motions to her empress outfit "And I can't wear my Grom outfit. That's way too formal! And my human outfit is too casual. Right? I really don't know and I'm kind of freaking out!"
Boscha looks Luz up and down and heads to her closet "Wow. Here I thought you would have all the clothes on the Island! Guess not." She says really disappointed.
Willow grabs Luz's shoulders and stops her constant pacing "Luz! First off, you need to calm down." Luz nods and stands still "Now, what are you and Amity doing for your date tonight?"
"Well, I was thinking we could go on a picnic and look at the stars?" Luz doesn't sound confident at all "What am I thinking! She'll hate that!" Luz panics and grabs her hair, messing it up.
Willow laughs at the human's reaction and grabs her wrists to grab her attention "LUZ! She will love that. Now did you ask Boscha and me here to take you shopping?"
Before Luz could answer, Boscha squeals and runs toward the two girls jumping "YES! Royal shopping day! Ok since Luz is the empress, I'm assuming there's no price limit?" Luz just nods, still looking worried. Boscha lets out the biggest smile and puts her two hands together and holds them up like she's praying "Thank you, Titan, for answering my prayers." Boscha snaps her attention back to Luz "Ok! Now here's what we're going to do. Luz, you're going to go undercover into town so we don't get trampled or recognized. Then we're going to find you the perfect outfit to impress Ams! Then you're going to reward Willow and me by paying for us as well."
Willow scolds Boscha "Boscha! We're not going for ourselves! This is for Luz!"
"No, it's fine. Really." Luz waves off Willows scold and turns back to the pink-haired witch "I'll get whatever you guys want. No price too high."
If you looked close enough, there were stars in Boscha's eyes. It was kind of scary to see her so happy. "Ok losers! We're going SHOPPING!!!!" Boscha runs to Luz's closet to grab her school uniform so she blends in. Boscha basically ripped off Luz's gown and dressed her in excitement. As Luz was blushing in embarrassment Boscha rolled her eye's "Oh relax! We're all girls here. Besides I got my eye on a particular witch." Luz and Willow share glances and Boscha continues to rush Luz to change.
Willow smirks and tries to tease Boscha "So. Who's the unlucky witch?" The plant expert crosses her arms and pokes Boscha's shoulder, trying to push her buttons.
Boscha being the upfront witch she is, smiles smugly and stares Willow directly in the eyes, not breaking a sweat "You." She then looks Luz up and down once more to see that she's ready and drags both the shocked girls out of the room. Willow was red and speechless. Luz laughed at the witch's flustered expression and started to follow both out of her castle. "So Luz. Is there like an official royal carriage we can take?" Once again, stars appeared in the three eyes of the witch.
Luz laughs at Boscha's excited attitude but sighs "Yes. But we're avoiding unwanted attention, remember?"
Boscha loses the smile and scoffs "Whatever. But you're giving me a ride one day!"
Luz nods and laughs. Willow however is still flustered at her prior bully's response. "Willow? Are you ok?"
"Yeah! Peachy!" Willow smiles and just continues to be in a flustered trance. Boscha rolls her eyes and smiles to herself.
The three walk out of the castle and head for Bonesburrow, with some guards for protection. The walk lasted for about an hour and forty-five minutes. When they arrived, the guards kept their distance to make sure Luz wouldn't be recognized, but close enough to keep an eye out for her. Luz's first stop was Eda's stand but was disappointed when she wasn't there. The human shrugged it off and went off to shop with her two friends.
Willow finally regained her composure and turned to her human friend "Hey Luz?" Luz turns her attention to her friend "Does Amity know that it's casual? I just don't want you showing up in a casual outfit, and her in a full-on ball gown."
Luz's eyes open wide "Oh cramity! Amity! I didn't think of that!"
Boscha pulls out her scroll phone and speaks up "Don't worry. I just texted her. She knows. You guys make a big deal out of everything. Thank Titan for me."
Luz and Willow laugh and agree. Boscha holds her scroll up and snaps a picture of the three friends walking in Bonesburrow. Luz has concerns and addresses Boscha "Hey Boscha, just don't post them just yet. I don't want people looking for us when they see your post."
"Don't worry girl. I won't post until we get back to the castle. But that doesn't mean I'm going to stop taking pictures of today." Boscha says while looking like she's texting someone, but Luz just leaves it alone.
Willow suddenly comes to a stop and stares in awe at something. Boscha sees what the witch is staring at and smiles. Luz keeps walking for a moment, when she realizes the two have stopped walking with her she turns around and stares at them in confusion "You guys ok?"
Willow and Boscha give each other knowing glances and simultaneously grab the human and drag her into the store. After a while, the three walk out with bags on bags hanging on their arms. Willow and Luz struggle to walk with all the weight, while Boscha walks with no bags and just her scroll in her hands taking pictures, sending them to a mysterious party.
"Boscha!" Willow says out of breath "You think you can put your scroll away and help us out a little?"
Luz adds on to Willows argument "Yeah! My weak empress arms can't take this much weight."
Boscha continues to look at her scroll, not even glancing at the two struggling girls behind her "No. Someone has to document this special day. You'll thank me at your wedding when I put a slide show of your first date."
Luz suddenly got incredibly hot and stopped in her tracks "W- wedd- wedding?"
Willow manages to walk up to Boscha and punch her in the arm. She whispers, trying not to embarrass Luz any further "What's your goal here? You wanna give her a heart attack before the date even happens?"
"What?" She says innocently "I want her or Amity to do the same thing for me and you when we go on our first date. Which will be next week today. I'll come by your house around 7:00 pm. Dress casual." Boscha just snickers at herself and continues walking down the pathway with her head buried in her scroll. Willow sighs trying not to panic and grabs Luz's arm to drag her since her legs went numb.
The day went on pretty fast. The three girls went to about four more stores. Luz and Willow were the equivalent to a muel at this point while Boscha lugged around two shopping bags. Boscha kept shamelessly flirting with Willow, and Luz just laughed at Willow's constant flustered responses.
"They're going on a date now? Maybe in the future, we could go on double dates!" Luz blushed at her own thoughts.

It was now four in the afternoon and Luz was dressed in her room, looking at her new outfit Boscha picked out.
"I love it!" Boscha praises the human "Amity is going to swoon!"
Willow laughs and agrees with the witch. "I have to admit. Boscha you have good taste."
"Well duh. I could have told you that." Boscha smiles and turns back to appreciating her good work.
Luz was in ripped skinny jeans that were navy. She had black converse as her sneakers and had a striped purple and white t-shirt on. To top it all off, she had a green jacket in case it got cold. "I look..." Luz trailed off and looked at herself closely in the mirror "Good?"
"Hell yeah girl. You look like a million snails!" Boscha pats herself on the back, feeling extremely proud. "Hey if I don't make it into the emperor's coven, now I have a backup plan."
Luz rolls her eyes "Boscha. I'm the empress. If you want to be in the coven, just come directly to me." She laughs and goes back to admiring her new clothes.
As Boscha laughs in agreement and secretly takes more photos, Willow stands up and goes into one of the many bags "I know I got it. Just where did I put it?" Willow mumbles to herself, grabbing the attention of the pink-haired witch.
"What-cha lookin for flower?" Boscha smirks with half-lidded eyes.
Willow blushes but continues to scrimmage through all of the bags "I got something earlier. And I just need- Ah Ha! Got it!" She grabs a maroon beanie and walks towards Luz, to only place it on top of her head. "Now you're perfect!"
Luz goes to thank her friend but is cut off with a smart remark from Boscha "I know. You don't have to keep telling me that."
Both Luz and Willow scoff and burst into laughter. As Luz wipes the tear's from her eyes from laughing too hard, she takes a deep breath and turns to her friends "Thank you. Both of you. I really appreciate you two helping me out." Willow and Boscha both smile towards Luz. Luz then takes one final look in the mirror and strikes a pose "Lookin good Luz."
Boscha cringes "Yeah let's not do that when you see Amity." They all once again burst into laughter and start to pack up. The three finally leave Luz's room and start to head out. Luz orders Boscha and Willow to be taken home in the royal carriage which produces an excited scream from both witches. They rush outside to see the carriage waiting for them and Boscha basically jumps into the carriage without hesitation.
As they all say their goodbyes, Willow hugs Luz and gives her advice "Luz, just be yourself tonight. I'm really happy for you."
Luz feels the heat rise to her cheeks and responds with a smirk "You should take your own advice. You and Boscha seem to really get along. Who would have guessed."
Willow also feels the heat rush to her cheeks "Wh- what no! Boscha is only joking around."
"Mmmm." Luz hums and smiles "Sure. And I'm straight."
Willow laughs and hugs the human again. She finally lets go and turns to enter the carriage with Boscha vlogging about where she currently is. Willow shakes her head and gives Luz one final look of encouragement. Luz nods in response and sends the carriage off to take the two witches home.

It was now five-thirty, half an hour till their date. Luz was on her way to the Blight Manor, while Amity threw her entire wardrobe onto her bed. "Great, now I just have to pick something casual, but cute, but not too cute where I look like I'm a try-hard. But I want to look like I'm making an effort." Amity is mumbling to herself aloud. She's interrupted when her scroll beeps, signaling that she got a text message.

Amity puts her scroll away and blushes profusely. She follows her best friend's instructions and puts together her outfit. As much as Boscha can be a pain to deal with, the girl has a great sense of fashion. Amity takes one final look at herself in the mirror and smiles at the thought of her and Luz's date. The witch grabs a sweatshirt and puts it on because she was cold.
Amity heads downstairs to wait for Luz's arrival. The only one home other than Amity was Aldor. The twins stayed after school to set up pranks for Principal Bump to discover and Odalia was at the castle, still filling in for Lilith.
Aldor sees Amity pass by his office door and stops working for a moment "Amity?"
Amity hears her father call for her, and she enters his office "Yes father?"
"Darling where are you going?" The Blight father looks at his youngest child's outfit quizzically.
Amity is now out but still gets uncomfortable around everyone. She's just not used to it yet "I'm going out with... a friend."
Aldor raises an eyebrow and notices his daughters blush "Hm. Does this friend happen to be the ruler of the Boiling Isles?" Aldor does his best to hide his smile but is currently failing.
Amity gets hotter by the second "Dad!" She groans in embarrassment.
"What!" He says innocently "I just want to know if my daughter will be safe. And that means I need to know who you're spending your time with tonight."
Amity looks down at her boots and mumbles just loud enough for Aldor to hear her "I'm going on a date with the human."
Aldor smiles widely but stays seated, not wanting to make his daughter uncomfortable any more than she already is "Very well. Have fun. Be back no later than eleven."
Amity laughs and looks up at her father "What are you going to do if I'm back later? Yell at the empress, aka your boss?"
Aldor laughs "Ha no." He then looks at his daughter with a mischievous grin "I'll just ground you for the first time in your life."
Amity grows stiff at this comment "So you said eleven?"
Aldor nods his head "Good. Have fun bookworm. Very happy for you. Now I must get back to work or your girlfriend will have my head." He smiles and produces a laugh from Amity.
Amity smiles at her father's comment and exits his office. She closes the door and leaves him to his work, now awaiting the arrival of Luz.
The witch realizes she forgot to put perfume on so she races up to her room to go get some.
While Amity tears her room apart looking for perfume, Luz nears the Manor. As the human walks up the driveway she sees Amity in her room. Luz decides to journey off to the side of the Manor and cast a levitation spell on herself. While she levitates to the window, she sees Amity going through her drawer like she's looking for something. Luz laughs at the witch and knocks at the window. Amity looks at the window and screams in horror while falling down.
Luz bursts into laughter as the green-haired witch gets up and runs to the window. "LUZ! EVER HEARD OF A DOOR?"
Luz steps in, with the help of Amity, and looks around at the mountain of clothes piled on her bed "Eh. I saw you coming up the driveway and thought I would spice things up tonight." Luz finally lands her gaze on Amity's outfit which took her breath away "Wow. Amity. You look-" Luz studders trying to find the right words.
Amity's cheeks heat up "Terrible? Ug I knew I shouldn't have asked Boscha!"
"Beautiful." Luz cuts of the witch's rambling and causes her to blush more.
Amity is trying her best to function the entire night "T- thanks. Y- you look amazing as well."
Luz chuckles and holds out her hand for Amity to grab "Shall we?" Amity just smiles and grabs Luz's hand. Luz leads the two over by the window and cast a plant spell, so a large plant grows acting as a platform for the human and the witch to stand on. Luz leads Amity onto the plant and Amity holds Luz's hand tightly, scared they might fall. The plant lowers the two safely onto the ground and Luz hops off with her witch.
The two begin to walk with Luz leading the way. Amity just stayed silent, admiring the view holding her hand. After a while of walking and admiring each other, Amity grew suspicious of what Luz had planned "Luz, where are you taking me?"
Luz looked back and continued to walk "That's a surprise!"
Luz turned away again, leading the witch further into the woods "Ok? Well then, what do you have planned?"
Luz just smiled and continued on her path. Amity like the mystery but was a little nervous. Ok, that was a lie. She was extremely nervous. Amity had about a million questions bottled up. What does this date mean? Are they dating? Is this just a one-time thing? What song will they dance to at their wedding? Amity blushes at the last thought and realizes she and Luz stopped walking. Luz has a great big grin plastered on her face.
This makes Amity have the same grin "What's got you so happy?"
Luz continues to smile "We're here..." Amity looks at the view and is in awe. "After Grom, when I dropped you off, I went to this cliff and kind of celebrated a little bit. I then cast a great big spell. I didn't know what I was casting, but when I finished, this tree grew here." Luz looked up at the great big tree. It was like an oak tree, but with pink leaves in the place of the green ones. "So, I officially made it our Grom tree."
Amity was speechless. She just walked up to the tree silently and admired its beauty. "Luz made this tree because of me?" Amity smiled wider than before, if that was even possible, and turned to the human admiring the whole view "It's the most beautiful tree I've ever seen."
Luz feels her cheeks heat up. Luz stares at her witch with the most loving eyes. Man, is she falling hard for this girl. Luz snaps out of her trance and holds her finger up, casting a spell for the picnic blanket and basket to magically appear under the tree. The human now has a goofy grin on her face and sits down, motioning for the witch to sit as well.
The two started off a little awkward, but as time passed they both got comfortable. After they finished eating, Amity leaned her head on Luz's shoulder causing the human to blush in excitement at the contact. They both just talked and talked for what seemed for hours. The two got lost in each other's eyes multiple times, to the point where they would just stare at each other for a while not saying a single word.
The sunset was approaching and the two were brought out of their conversation and turned their attention to the setting sun. Amity closes her eyes and takes a deep breath of fresh air, really taking in the moment. She then opens her eyes and stares at the beautiful view in front of her. Luz just stares at the witch to her right, completely engulfed with her presence.
Amity admires the Boiling sea "It may be filled with terrifying monsters. But man, the Boiling Isles sure has its hidden beauty."
Luz just smiles and continues to stare at the girl next to her "Yeah. The view sure is beautiful."
Amity smiles and notices that Luz is staring at her and not the sunset. The witch blushes and stares back at her human, with only affection found in her glare. The two stare deeply into each other's eyes, once again, getting lost in them, never wanting to break their moment. The two begin to lean in, signaling for a kiss. They never break eye contact while they lean in, savoring the moment. That's when Luz beings to close her eyes, feeling Amity's soft breath on her face. Amity does the same and closes her eyes, excited to kiss Luz again. They were inches away until Luz closes the gap, connecting the two for their second kiss. But only this one had a bit more passion than the one they shared at Grom. They had an idea on what to do now, rather than the other night when it was both their first kiss. Luz cupped Amity's cheek, deepening the kiss further than before. It was a heated kiss, full of love and passion. As Amity melted into the kiss, she ran her fingers through the human's hair. Luz and Amity's heartbeat synchronized at this very moment.
As soon as they separated, the witch and the human both looked dazed. Amity breathlessly let out "Wow..." as Luz rested her forehead on hers.
Luz just laughed a bit "Wow Blight. You do this before? No way you're that good without any practice!"
Amity gets red and laughs "Wouldnt you like to know?"
Luz's smug expression immediately disappears "Wait? Really?"
"NO! I'm kidding!" Amity falls to her back and starts laughing hysterically. "You should have seen the look on your face! Oh my, Titan!"
Luz sighs in relief and falls to her back laughing at her own goofiness. "Yeah... Thank the Titan." Luz whispers admiring her date. "Amity?" Amity continues to laugh but manages to look at her human "Will you be my girlfriend?"
Amity stops laughing and just looks excited. The Blight squeals and tackles Luz, kissing her for a moment on the lips and pulling away "I would love to!"
Luz pulls the witch into another kiss as a celebration. It's official, tonight was the best night of both girl's life.
