Tea Party and Lorschel (21)
âWill his stomach be alright?â
She was suddenly worried that he might have felt uncomfortable after forcing himself to eat what he wasnât fond of eating. Even if she had been concerned about this, everyone would just say that she was needlessly worrying instead.
Since he was stronger than anyone else.
âBut I still canât help being worried.â
She thought that she couldnât. As soon as Lucy returned, she thought that it would be better to prepare some tea that was good for digestion and stopped by Kergelâs office later. She quickly forgot what she had said about going for a walk.
It was no exaggeration to say that her head was already full of Kergel right now.
In spite of the word âday offâ today, he eventually asked her for her understanding and left for a while. Maybe he had gone to the office because there was something he had to deal with.
â¦â¦Would it bother him if she were to visit him when he was working?
But it would be okay if she just provided him with tea, right?
So, as she was absorbed in her thoughts about Kergel, there was a bustling sound outside all of a sudden.
ââ¦â¦?â
Roelin tilted her head with a curious look on her face while wondering what was really going on.
âLucy, are you ready?â
She thought it was a little loud to say that.
She didnât know if she heard it wrong, but she thought that she could hear the sound of laughterâ¦â¦
Just then, the door opened and an unexpected person had come in. He was the man who had been occupying her head so far, but shouldnât be here right now.
âRoelin, youâre going for a walk? I almost missed you.â
It was Kergel who opened the door as he entered. Roelin approached him with a happy smile, but when she saw what was in his hand, she eventually stopped walking.
âWhy do you have a basket?â
What Kergel had been holding in one of his hands was a small basket. It was such a basket that had been too cute and adorable for a strong-built man to lift up.
She looked at him while being embarrassed by the gap between Kergel and the basket. However, he merely glanced at the basket in his hand with a nonchalant expression and smiled instead.
It was a smile of satisfaction.
As soon as Roelin opened her eyes wide, Kergel strode up and held out the basket.
ââ¦â¦!â
âItâs a gift for you. I finally succeeded. Itâs not undercooked nor did it burn in black.â
There were a lot of snacks in the basket that Kergel brought out. It was such strange-looking snacks that she had never even eaten before.
But when she saw it, Roelin could intuitively realize that it was Lorschel.
Kergel smiled and nodded when he saw that her blue eyes were already wide open.
âYes, itâs Lorschel.â¦â¦ well, although the relationship has already changed. Will you still accept it anyway?â
Roelin blushed when she immediately recognized what he had meant by the change in relationship between them.
As he had said before, Lorschel was given as a gift to ask for the night while it had now been presented after spending the night together, it was utterly true that the relationship between the two of them had completely changed.
ââ¦â¦thank you.â
But she accepted the cookie basket without showing any obvious signs. Although that could not completely hide her red cheeks.
âDid you make it yourself?â
âOf course. From the first act of making the dough, right till taking it out of the oven and putting it in the basketâI did it all myself.â
Kergel smiled lovingly at Roelinâs red cheeks and nodded at her question. Then, he continued while gesturing to the basket with a wink.
âTry it, Roelin. I wonder if it will suit your taste though.â
âOf course, it will definitely be delicious. It smells good too.â
Sweet and savory. Roelin smiled and replied as she turned to the direction of his words and headed for the table. Then, Kergel followed her to the table as well.
âWow, itâs still warm.â
After Roelin sat down with the basket on the table, she picked up a snack and admired it. Kergel replied while trying to patch up his smug expression.
âSince I came over right away.â
âBy the way, was it because of this that you said you had to leave for a while? You didnât actually go to the office for work?â
âOf course. Why would I even go to the office? I told you that today was a vacation to spend with you.â
Kergel unilaterally declared todayâs vacation as he tried shaking off the chaotic appearance of his subjects and replied naturally.
âBut you still went all the way into the kitchen.â
After all, because of the servants who had broken into the kitchen, he could not properly make Lorschel for today and he had almost failed too.
At least, due to Heinez, he was finally able to avoid burning the Lorschel since he asked for all of the servants to leave quickly.
âIâll tell him to take a day off laterâwell.â
He murmured to himself, then looked at the Lorschel in Roelinâs hand. As he suddenly remembered something, he opened his mouth with a mischievous smile in return.
âBut Lorschelâs shape is a little racy, right?â
âWhat? Itâs racy?â
âItâs actually kind of hot to eat. The shape itself.â
Kergel winked at the Lorschel in her hand. Roelin tilted her head at the snack that was already in her hand with a puzzled expression.
The shape of the snack was rather racy?
âIs there another meaning that I donât know about when he says the word, racy?â
She could hardly understand what he was saying and blinked. Kergel, who was looking at it, smiled and raised his hands.
âIâm sorry. You donât even know what kind of joke I made to this very innocent you.â
ââ¦â¦?â
However, despite Kergelâs words, Roelin rarely solved the question either.
Why did he suddenly talk about âinnocentâ here?
