Tea Party and Lorschel (22)
âWhatâs the shape of the snackâ¦â¦â
âNever mind. Snacks are just snacks. Go ahead and eat them.â
He was told that he had corrupted an innocent person for no apparent reason. Kergel hurriedly interrupted Roelin and popped the Lorschel into her mouth as she was holding it.
âHow is it? Is it good?â
ââ¦â¦mmm.â
Roelin slipped the Lorschel into her mouth and mumbled as she glanced at him.
Kergel was on high alert, unlike a person who had just said something difficult to understand with a mischievous look from before.
Maybe he was waiting for an evaluation of the taste of the Lorschel that was already in her mouth right then.
âItâs delicious.â
âReally? Oh, thank God.â
Kergel leaned against the back with a relaxed look as if he was finally relieved only after listening to Roelin.
Roelin looked at him and smiled quietly inside, then she picked up another snack from the basket and ate it. Kergelâs face instantly became brighter when he peeked at her.
âI donât know what to say, butâ¦â¦ Itâs cute.â
Her heart fluttered as she watched him, who cared about every little reaction of hers and became delighted.
To be honest, it wasnât actually very tasty. But no, it was delicious. When she lived back in Rakain, she would have thought that it was the most delicious snack in the world if she had eaten it before.
At that time, her meals always consisted of only hard bread and watery soup. And the dessert was all about the occasional dried-up pieces of fruit.
So, this was a luxury dessert that she couldnât even dream of.
But now it was different. The Royal Chef had prepared a hearty dish at every single meal. The dessert that was eaten after the meal could also be considered as such a waste to eat.
âBut⦠It sounds like it could taste better.â
Roelin munched on the Lorschel and smiled shyly. Objectively, it definitely didnât taste any better than the chefâs dessert, but nevertheless, it still felt really delicious to her.
Subjectively, only for her own taste.
Maybe it was because of the sincerity of this man, Kergel.
âI never thought that Iâd get the Lorschel as a gift.â
More precisely, she had completely forgotten about Lorschel ever since last night. He said that he would give her a gift to ask for the night, but they were already together last night.
In the meantime, however, this man still did not forget to bake the snacks and even gave them as gifts.
Her heart fluttered happily.
âThank you, Kergel.â
Roelin greeted him heartily. Then, Kergel made an awkward expression before he shrugged his shoulders and opened his mouth.
âOh! I came over to you all of a sudden, so I must have interrupted your walk.â
âOh⦠the walk? Itâs okay. Actually, I had already changed my mind and wanted to go and see you instead.â
âYou were going to come and see me?â
âYes. I almost went to the office because I didnât know you were in the kitchen.â
Roelinâs eyes eventually curved.
âHow did you come up with such a commendable idea? Did you even think that you shouldnât see me for a second?â
Kergelâs voice was smeared with laughter as if he was in a good mood. Roelin laughed at his joke and continued.
âItâs not that, but Iâm worried if your stomach is okay.â
ââ¦â¦?â
Kergelâs expression became puzzled for a moment. She had been wondering if his stomach was okay now. What was she talking about? Did his stomach feel okay?
âYou werenât fond of what you had eaten for lunch earlier, but you still ate it because of me. I mean, that salmon steak.â
âI donât think itâs going to make my stomach uncomfortable thoughâ¦â
Kergel tried to hold back his laughter and replied, but he blurted out the end of his words with a thought that suddenly came to his mind. Then, he rubbed his stomach and opened his mouth once again.
âCome to think of it, I donât think Iâm digesting really wellâ¦â¦â
âI knew it. So, I was actually going to prepare some tea to help you digest and go to you just then.â
Roelin had seriously listened to Kergel and tried to call for the maid outside in haste. But even before that could happen, Kergel held onto her hand.
âI think that your hand would be an even better medicine rather than just some tea.â
âMy hands are some kind of medicineââ
Roelin shook her head at Kergelâs words. But he rose from his seat while holding her hand and approached her instead.
âI thought that it would get better soon if you could just rub my stomach like this.â
âOh, thatâs a littleâ¦â¦â
Roelin curled her hand over his abdomen. She could already feel the firm muscles beneath his clothes vividly.
As she hesitated in embarrassment and tried to withdraw her hand, Kergel frowned and made a sick groan instead.
âMy stomach hurts a little.â
âReally? Hurry up and sit here then.â
Roelin grabbed Kergelâs hand and made him sit right next to her. Then, Kergel took a seat as if he had been waiting and leaned against her.
âDoes it hurt a lot? Do you want me to rub your stomach?â
âThank you for doing it, but you donât have to do it if youâre uncomfortable.â
Kergel leaned against Roelin and deliberately lowered his voice like a sick person to the fullest. When Roelin heard that voice, she was immediately at a loss and straight away placed her hand on his stomach.
He felt a gentle rubbing on top of his stomach. To be honest, he didnât think that this kind of touch would do anything.
