Chapter 02: Seoul Bound

"Come on; we can't be late on our first day!" Yena grabs my arm as I was trying to eat the last nibble of my bread.

"I wasn't finished!"I sobbed , following along.

"Did you bring all the materials?" She whispers.

"Yes, I thought my watch, the water, and the notebook." I patted her shoulder to console her.

Our watch was crucial for tracking and alerting us of our clients. The water was for emergencies; If someone found our secret, they must drink the water, making them forget their memories of the last three days. The notebook was where we reported what happens and writing important information.

"We have various periods. Will you live without me for two classes?" She jokingly nudges my arm.

"I can't withstand it."

Yena's two classes that were different were Physical education and Cooking class.

I didn't have a cooking class; instead, I was given Art; it was something I enjoyed.

"Who will motivate you to run laps now?" She fake sobs.

"I can do it, and you should be worried about burning the building down!"

"I'm not horrible at cooking.." She pouts.

"Last time you cooked, Mrs.Lee had to use a whole bottle of fragrance to overcome the burning smell."

"It was just that one time I was bad." She crosses her arms, walking faster ahead of me.

"Wait for me!" I jog after her.

"Isn't that him? from yesterday?" She indicated toward the familiar grey-haired guy.

"Yeah, So?"

"He's one of the clients then, and we should find a way to be friends." She puts up her eyebrows.

"We can do it later; We should step on it before we are marked late." I pulled her along.

I didn't know how to befriend this guy, but I didn't have to rush just yet. I needed to find my other person, his mate.

"Who do you think his match is?" I mumbled beside Yena; we were walking down the foyer.

"Maybe her, oh or ...her!" She pinpoints people walking by.

"We'll have to wait for the watch to alert us."

"Class, we have two new students arriving from Busan; please greet them kindly." Mr. Song looks toward us, and we slowly walked together through the glass door.

I hated being the attention of others, and I felt everyone's eyes lever between Yena and me.

"Hello, I am Yena~ I look forward to studying hard and knowing you all." She says with lots of elegance. She was always good at alluring others without any undertaking. It was one of her key points but mine; I didn't know yet.

"Hello, I'm Soona; Nice to meet you all." I like to keep things quick and sweet. I want others to marvel at my personality; it makes it fun.

"Yena, your seat is in the back besides Jihoon and Mira. You will be seated..next to Yeonjun. Ah, he's not here yet; it's that one." He shows me to the desk.

I assumed this Yeonjun guy was terrible at keeping time, judging by being 10 minutes late already.

Please tell me a punk does not, sir next to me.

"What took you so long?" Mr. Song spoke as a boy walked in with blue hair.

"I was dealing with something, and I'm here now, aren't I?" He walks past him to his seat, not even glimpsing my way.

Yena was unhappy across the room from me, and she glanced at me with elevated eyebrows.

"What?" I mouthed toward her.

She junctures toward my watch, and I forgot to turn it on earlier not to disturb the class during introductions.

I gradually turned my wrist, flipping the switch to ON; the watch abruptly started making a beeping disturbance. I froze; the class was silent when this was transpiring.

"Sorry." I apologized before turning the alarm off. Who was it? I was too near to numerous people. I needed to have distance later and try to discover this person.

"Who are you?" A voice asked beside me.

I turned my head to be confronted with the blue-haired guy.

"I transferred here, and I'm Mira."

He glances at me for a second before just nodding and withdrawing to looking ahead.

Weird...

This must be this Yeonjun guy; what an odd character. He appeared to be cold, and I hope he wouldn't conflict with things.

"This is the best lunch I've ever had from school." She was eating cheerfully in front of me.

"Look, there he is." She refers toward the grey-haired guy.

"Should we sit with him?" She implies to me.

"No."

"Why?" She pouts.

"We shouldn't be too fast."

"We need to find out at least what type of individual he is.." She sighed.

"I'm going to invite him over." She stood up. I stood up along with her, yanking her arm to sit her back down.

"Stop enticing attention; we'll do it at the precise time," I whispered.

He glimpsed over at us now, and his eyes seeming to be interested in what just happened.

"Let's just finish and go back."

"I have cooking class next; We have to part ways."

"I forgot, don't worry, I'll find a way," I comforted her.

One way or another, I'll find out who this other individual is...

"Okay, class, let's run six laps today." The teacher decreed. Everyone snorted in resentment. I feel you all, and I don't want to do this either.

I started my pace off fast but deliberately became slow toward the 4th lap—two more to go. I was already feeling irritated.

I used to exercising, not this way.

Suddenly my watch began to beep as someone ran by; my eyes looked up to see the blue hair pass me.

Wait a second, blue hair and grey hair?!

This is not anticipated at all; they're not even the equivalent type of people. One's a calmer type, and the other is...I don't even know the terms.

I ceased in my tracks in surprise, and I cannot understand this. Do the heavens think this is the proper match? Did they make a blunder?

I was too wrapped up in my impressions. I didn't notice someone jogging with their head down behind me; they crashed with my back making us both plummet.

My hand scraped the tough pavement, making it bleed a little from the impact

I quickly stood up, looking down at my hand.

"Sorry, I wasn't paying attention." The voice spoke in front of me. I looked up to see the grey-haired guy.

"It's my mistake, and I was standing there like a fool, sorry." I repented.

"Why did you transfer here so late?" He asks.

" oh, that, my parents got a recent job." I lied. Why was he so interested in that? Maybe he was trying to figure me out.

"I see, sorry again." He says before running off to finish the laps.

I didn't ask his name; why am I always forgetting things?

I winced in discomfort, and my hand had minor cuts on it from falling; he didn't notice it earlier because I hid it.

"Did you discover the other person?" Yena asks, returning from Cooking class.

"Yes, You'd never foresee it."

"Who?"

"Eh um." I coughed, gazing near Yeonjun.

"No way!" She yelled out, and I quickly covered her mouth.

"Be quiet," I advised.

"It's him?" She murmured, her face looking astonished.

"I know. I was stunned too." I slumped at my desk.

"That's certainly a plot twist here; how do we help?" She caresses her chin.

" you inform me; your guess is decent as mine." I shrugged.

"Alright, class, please return to your rightful chairs. We will begin soon." Mr.Song speaks.

"What happened to your hand?" Yeonjun asked beside me. He suddenly minded?

"I fell earlier, nothing too big."

"Did you get hurt?" The grey-haired boy asks; he must have seen it walking by to his chair.

"Oh-...Yeah." I awkwardly say.

"It looks terrible, and I'll take you to the nurse." He proposes.

"I'm fine." I rapidly said. Not skeptical at all...

Yena looks at me with the manner telling me to go. I sighed, ok fine If I must.

"I'll go stop by the nurse." I stood up, nudging my chair back under the desk.

"I'll go with you." The grey-haired boy says, pursuing me.

I closed my eyes in frustration as I walked toward the nurse's headquarters.

"I'll apply this ointment and fasten it; don't pertain to too much tension on this hand."The nurse applied the ointment to the minor cuts. She took the dressings and wrapped them around my hand.

"You can go back to class now." She dismisses me.

It wasn't that bad of a scrape, and it just stung harshly.

"I'm sorry. It was my fault." Grey hair asks forgiveness beside me.

"It's okay. I forgot to inquire; what's your name?"

"Beomgyu. Choi Beomgyu."

"Beomgyu? I'm Soona." I smiled, halfway compelled because I didn't usually smile, to be honest.

"Did you see the nurse?" Yeonjun asks upon my return.

"Yes, I'm fine." I sat down.

"Hey, do you know that guy?." I asked, pointing toward Beomgyu.

"No, I don't."

So he doesn't even know him; I have to do an introduction too?!

I wanted to shove them into each other, but that'd be unfair to do.

"Why?" he asks, eyeing me.

"No reason." I laughed awkwardly.

How can I accomplish this?
