âTake good care of yourself,â Emmeline advised. âYou canât exercise too much.â
âThen Iâll allocate more time in the evening and practice two additional poses; starting tonight, Iâll devote two hours to it,â Abel replied.
âStop it!â Emmeline shouted, pinching his arm, âYouâre becoming more and more obsessed!â
âDonât be silly; Iâm driving!â Abel remarked, suppressing his laughter.
âYouâre not just driving!â Emmeline reprimanded, âYour attention should be focused on driving!â
She couldnât help but see her husband in the passenger seat. From every perspective, his profile was exquisite.
He was attractive no matter how she looked at him, and he made her heart skip a beat.
Emmeline leaned down and kissed Abel on the cheek, unable to resist.
Abel was pleased, as if he had been flooded with joy. However, he did say, âUh-oh, youâve been influenced by me.â
Emmeline teased him, saying, âWith such an unconventional husband, itâs hard for the wife to be conventional.â
âHusband and wife are like this; itâs fun teasing each other,â Abel laughed. âIf I were serious. every day, wouldnât you think Iâd be dull?â
âLetâs just skip the monk part; you shouldnât be that compassionate,â Emmeline joked. âAnd you canât be dull; thatâs my eldest brotherâs title; you canât compete with him!â
âHahaha, donât worry!â Abel exclaimed, âThis thousand-year-old dullard is about to be defeated by Dorisâ divine axe. Emma Babe, you better brace yourself!â
Emmelineâs expression was filled with eagerness as she said, âI was thinking the same thing. When my eldest brother and Doris are happily married, Masterâs wish will be granted.â
The car arrived at the small plaza outside the experience center while they chatted and joked.
Abel parked his car in the lot, and the two of them walked hand in hand.
When they entered, they noticed Tony in the lobby, speaking with the receptionist.
Tony was shocked when he turned his head and saw the magnificent couple enter the door. He said, âI thought I was hallucinating; it really is Mr. and Mrs. Abel! Absolutely radiant!â
âDo you have so much free time?â Abel asked, smiling. âAre you personally overseeing the reception desk?â
âNot really,â Tony answered. âI was just asking the customers who had just arrived what activities they wanted to do.â
âIs that your concern?â Abel asked, noticing that the customer who had just entered was clearly not ordinary.
âI didnât want to be concerned either,â Tony admitted, a little ashamed, âbut guess who just arrived?â
âWho?â Abel wondered. âWho could Tony be hiding?â
Tony asked Abel, âCan I really say it?â Tony looked at Emmeline.
âDonât worry,â Abel reassured Emmeline, embracing her shoulders, âI have no secrets from my wife;
you can say whatever you want.â
âSonia is here,â Tony explained, âshe just went in with a few girlfriends, and then you two arrived; I thought you had planned it.â
âHeh,â smiled Abel, âI have nothing to do with her; why would I plan anything?â
Tony shook his head. He knew Abel didnât think much of Sonia; otherwise, they would have met five years ago.
âWho cares who comes?â Emmeline asked, âthe sports center is a place for everyone to have fun, so what if we happen to run into her?â
âDidnât you guys have a conflict during the race a while ago?â Tony asked. âThe entire Struyria knows about it; I was just concerned that you guys might hold a grudge.â
âThatâs all in the past, Emmeline declared. âIf she still canât let it go, she can come race against me again; Iâm open to suggestions!â
âMrs. Abel is formidable!â Tony said as he asked Emmeline, âWhat do you and Mr. Abel want to play today?â
âMy wife has the final say,â stated Abel. âIf she wants to box, Iâll box. If she wants to play ball, Iâll play ball.
âLetâs play ball then,â Emmeline said with a smile. âWe just finished eating; boxing is too strenuous.â
âAlright, Tony said, âtable tennis it is!â
