âYou canât explain what you did, Benjamin said. âEmma is already hurt. You should go back. Iâll take care of her.
âAlright!â Abel nodded wearily. TI come back later. Please take care of her.â
He turned and went downstairs. He had to go back and ask Alana for some clarification!
Back at Ryker Group. Abel summoned Luca and Alana to his office.
He sat behind the office desk, his hands clenched with visible veins, his face turning pale and dark.
âAfter Luca dropped me off at home last night, what happened next?â
Luca was shocked. âNothing happened. I undressed you, you went to sleep, and then I left.â
Abel pondered momentarily and said, âItâs none of your business now. You can leave.â
Luca agreed and was about to leave when Abel called him back. âGo to the ninth ward of the Neurosurgery Department at the city hospital. Stay there all day and let me know if anything happens.
âWho?â Lura asked. âWho is there?â
âJust go!â Abel coldly reprimanded.
Luca hurriedly left.
âWere you in my room last night?â Abelâs eyes filled with killing intent as he stared darkly at Alana.
âYes!â She lowered her head. âLuca left, and I stayed behind to care for you because I was worried about you.â
He sneered and asked, âAnd then you slept in my bed?â
âNo!â She hurriedly explained. âItâs not like that!â
âNot like that?â His face turned dark. âThen, how was it?â
âIt was you.â She said, âYou took off my clothes!â
Abel slammed his palm on the table. âYou have underestimated me!â
He took two steps closer, looking down at her, and said, âEven if I lose my mind, Iâm not a fool! I know what I did or didnât do! I know!â
âI didnât lie.â Alana stepped back, her face pale. âYou asked for water, I poured it for then you mistook me for Emmeline, and then-â
Abel let out a cold laugh. âAlana, you donât understand me and Emma. Although I shared a room with Emma, I am not a beast. You can lie about other things, but this lie is too fake!â
âI donât understand you.â She lowered her head and glanced around. âBut youâve had too much to drink, and your chaotic behavior⦠I guess youâre not even aware of it yourself, though.â
âAre you still trying to defend yourself?â
âIâm not!â She looked up at the man in front of her. âMaybe you were so desperate for Emmeline that you mistook me for her, took off my clothes, and threw me on the bed.â
He squinted his eyes. Intoxicated and mistaking Alana for Emmeline?
To be honest, he wasnât sure himself.
He missed Emma too much.
Alanaâs lips curled slightly when the man remained silent, and she turned to leave.
She couldnât stay any longer. If Abel discovered the truth, he would kill her!
As she reached the door, Abel coldly spoke again, âWrite your resignation letter and submit it. to the Human Resources Department!â
Alana felt as if she was doused with boiling water and turned back in surprise. âWhat did say?â
âI canât keep you here anymore!â He succinctly said, âGet lost!â
âNo, you canât!â She turned around and threw herself on the office desk, crying. âYou canât make me leave. Iâll die!â
âYou were living just fine in Viens, werenât you?â He sneered. âThat place suits you better!â
Her face turned pale in an instant. She never expected Abel to resort to this.
She had calculated and planned, but Abel had made the final move.
âGet out.â Abel said, âYouâre fired!â
Alana hurriedly ran out, and in no time, Scott stormed in angrily.
He slammed the table.
âAbel, what do you think youâre doing? Have you lost your mind? Do you not respect me anymore?â
Abel looked up, glancing at him sideways, waiting for him to continue.
âRemember you are still in the contracting period. Itâs yet to be your own business! I still have three years of rights in my hands!â Scott tapped the office desk with his knuckles, making thudding sounds.
âIs this how you educate your daughter? Abel sneered casually. âAre you proud of raising a daughter like this?â
âWhat are you talking about? Scott was stunned by his question. âWhat happened to Alana?â
âShouldnât I be asking you that?â Abel sneered. âDid you educate your daughter to undress and climb into a manâs bed?â
