Aurora
We stayed in that meadow by the lake the rest of the evening until morning had caught us. Needless to say, we made love about ten more times.
What can I say? We couldnât get enough of each other.
Wolfgang and I took it as our personal task to make up for all the time we wasted in the past year. And boy we overdid it.
We even shifted and had Rhea and Cronnos have a go at it, finally giving them the chance to be together as mates.
By the time we were fully satisfied with each other, it was already dawn, but still, we cuddled against one another, not wanting the moment to end.
But alas, Wolfgang had his duty as Alpha.
âDamn it. There they go again,â he complained as he felt the others trying to reach out to him through the mind-link but he had put up a block.
âMaybe you should take off the block and see what they want. What if itâs something important?â I said to him worrying that the pack might be in trouble since theyâve been at it for a while now.
âNah. Nothingâs more important than being here with you,â he said as he held me tighter in his arms. âWhatever it is, can wait.â
I giggled at his childishness. Wolfgang had me in a tight hold, as he nestled his head against my breasts.
âYouâre acting like a big baby right now, you know that?â I laughed as he held on to my breast, suckling like an infant.
Damn it. I knew he was hungry for more after round eleven, but we had to go home and see what the pack needed.
I actually had no idea he could do something like that. He said that we both can since we are Alpha and Luna.
When I fulfill the Luna ceremony, heâll teach me to block the others out as well to not feel overwhelmed with every pack memberâs voice in my head.
He explained that it felt like a light buzz when they tried to contact him through the link but they couldnât get through the barricade he had put up.
âMr. Alpha, we really need to go back now. You have your duty to attend to and Iâm starving right now,â I told him with a bit more of an authoritative tone in my voice.
He groaned like a little kid. He looked so childish right now, but Iâd be lying if I didnât like seeing this side of him.
âAlright, alright. Only cause youâre hungry. Otherwise, I wouldnât let you out of my grip,â he said with a smirk as he stood up and held out his hand to help me up as well.
But instead of letting me go, he curled his arms around me in a tight but tender embrace and laid feather kisses on my nose.
âBut once Iâve taken care of whatever the guys need of me, and youâve gotten breakfast, weâll continue where we left off,â he added with a boyish grin.
âOnly if you make sure to get something to eat as well, Mr. Alpha. I donât want you passing out on me.â
He chuckled before giving one last peck on the lips.
âI love you, Aurora Craton.â
He looked breathtaking. The sun was high enough, shining brightly over, casting a beautiful glow over him.
I couldnât help but think it was a sign of the moon goddess, pleased that weâd finally accepted each other as she had designed.
The sun rays shined bright, making his baby blue eyes shine brighter. âI love you too, Alpha Wolfgang.â
He shifted into his wolf and nudged me, signaling me to shift as well, so I did and we took off in the direction of the pack house.
Rhea and Cronnos ran freely, jumping over high bushes and fallen branches of trees, bumping into each other, feeling each otherâs fur, and finally being close to one another.
Needless to say, it took us at least another forty minutes before we were actually back in the pack house, but things were in complete chaos before our eyes.
Everyone was rushing around, all busy bodies moving and shifting things in the house. Were we going to have a party or something?
âAlpha! Finally! Where have you been?!â Remus and Max came running frantically.
Wolfgang immediately shifted into his form, not bothering at all to be naked before everyone else.
âWeâve been trying to mind-link you for hours! Wait, why do you smell so much like Rory? Whatâs that on your neckâ¦â Max was almost shouting at the top of his lungs but Wolfgang cut him off.
âIâm here now. What is the matter?â Wolfgang was now in full-on alpha mode.
Gone was the playful and charismatic guy from the woods, replaced with the stoic mask I knew so well over the past months, but I didnât feel fear anymore.
âRightâ¦â Max cleared his throat. âThe urgent matter.â
âYou guys can give me details later,â he said smirking but thankfully Remus read my mind and slapped him on the back of his head.
âActually sir, we needed lady Aurora,â Remus chimed. âThe two of you were gone for the majority of the night and forgot about the gathering youâve promised Alpha Sierra so she might be able to find her mate.â
âWe need orders. If weâll carry it out tonight, we need to know.â Remus said and I had to do a double take to see that he had actually addressed me.
Since I was still in my wolf form and they couldnât read my mind, I lobbed my head to the side as if asking him.
âShit. I had forgotten about that,â Wolfgang muttered. âWeâll get changed and meet you both along with Mrs. Kala in ten minutes in my office.â

After we had our breakfast in Wolfgangâs bedroom and got into a change of clothes, we headed back down to his office where everyone was waiting.
Wolfgang had chosen one of his button-up shirts but decided to go without a necktie and made sure his neck was well exposed. He said he wanted everyone to see I was his.
âSo⦠whatâs this about me having to plan out tonightâs gathering?â I asked him as we walked hand in hand down the stairs.
âAs the Luna of the pack, itâs your duty now to do the planning of all events that take place in the pack. Mrs. Kala and Remus usually carry out that duty but it wonât be necessary anymore.
He spoke casually as if it was the most normal thing to do, but I was freaking out.
I forgot completely about the fact that the Luna is the face of every pack gathering.
It was a huge problem for me because I was not social or outgoing. The pressure of being in the spotlight drives me nuts.
âBuâbut Iâm not the Luna yet.â I stammered as I tried to keep my composure.
I swear, if he wasnât holding my hands, Iâd have tripped and gone tumbling down the stairs already.
I thought I wasnât even allowed Luna duties until I did the ceremony, which according to Wolfgang, wouldnât be for another two more weeks.
I still had to learn a lot about protocol and things like that.
âWell, not officially but youâve become our Luna the moment you accepted me as your mate.â He said with a shrug.
I came to an abrupt stop. I couldnât move. I was rooted to the spot.
âI⦠I donât think Iâll be able to do it. What if I mess up? Wolfgang, I canât do this.â I said as I felt my limbs tremble. I think I was about to get an anxiety attack.
âHey⦠hey, hey, hey. Itâs gonna be okay.â He also stopped and stood before me. Because of his height, we were now both on eye level, even though he was two steps below me.
He held my face between his palms, gently stroking my cheeks trying to calm me with the matesâ touch, which was really doing its effect.
The sparks emanating from his touch caused a soothing tingly sensation and I slowly started to feel my heart rate decrease and the anxiety leave my body.
âYouâre stronger and wiser than what you think. Youâll be able to do this and anything that comes your way.â
Somehow his words reassured me and calmed me.
They were words no one other than Emma and Montana would occasionally say to me to cheer me up, but hearing them come from my chosen mate was something else.
âDonât worry babe. I'll help you out. So will Mrs. Kala,â he said as he rounded his arms around me in a nice embrace and kissed my forehead. âEverything is gonna be okay.â
âYouâre gonna do great Rory,â he smiled gently. âI trust that you will.â
