âCourtney's P.O.Vâ
"You're disgusting."
"So, is that a no?"
"Of course it's a no!"
He grabs his burger from the table again and takes another bite, frowning at me.
"Are you sure? The offer still stands, it will stand for the rest of the day, week, month, year."
"Alex, I do not want to make a proper hotdog with you!" I exclaim, making him put his hands up in defeat.
"Okay, sheesh."
I huff out a breath before I take a bite from my hotdog. Alex chuckles as he looks at me and I turn to narrow my eyes at him.
"What's so funny?"
He puts his hands up once again, "I didn't say anything."
"Whatever."
"I want another hotdog." Emily speaks up and I turn to see that she's already finished with hers.
"I'll buy you another one." Damian offers, already reaching for his wallet in his front pocket.
Emily simply smiles at him and leans up to kiss his cheek.
"Thank you." She says.
"Yeah, no problem." He tells her, before he looks up to the man in the food truck. "One hotdog and a bacon burger please, with extra bacon."
The man nods, "Coming right up."
Suddenly, a hand makes impact with my butt and I quickly whip around to punch the sweet life out of Alex's arm.
He groans as he rubs his arm, "What the hell was that for?"
I glare at him, "Don't you dare spank me again." I threaten.
"Spank you?" He asks, his eyebrows furrowed. "Both of my hands are too busy holding my burger, trust me I didn'tâ"
He gets cut off by someone laughing loudly on the ground beside us.
"Y-you actually punched him!" Emily chokes out between her laughter. "Oh sweet baby Jesus, I'm gonna pee myself!"
Alex and I instantly side-step away from her as she continues to roll around in laughter.
"Sorry for punching you." I awkwardly say to him as he continues to rub his aching arm.
"It's alright."
No, it isn't. I think to myself, looking at his pained face.
All too soon, I begin to curl over in laughter and the guys both look at Emily and I with weirded out looks on their faces.
"Girls, enough with the laughing." They grumble.
But, we don't listen as we continue to laugh.
"Walk yourselves back home, then."
They both turn their backs to us as they begin to walk away, and we both instantly pick ourselves off the floor, following them as we laugh silently to ourselves.
"I can't believe you would do that." I tell her, laughing a little more.
"I can't believe you punched him."
"I can't believe I ever doubted your strength." Alex grumbles, taking a bite from his burger.
I turn to smile at him in triumph.
"Wait, my hotdog!" Emily suddenly shouts, and Alex and I watch in amusement as Emily and Damian run back towards the food truck to collect their food.

"I can't believe they ditched us."
"Who in their right mind skips dessert?" I question, walking in through the door as Alex holds it open for me.
"Apparently them." He answers, letting go of the door as he walks in himself.
We walk up to a booth and I take a seat across from him, not bothering to pick up the menu since I already know what we both want.
So instead of looking over the different pizza desserts, we just look at each other as we talk about our lives.
"So, the other day when you were talking about your dad cheating several times including your mom, where is she now?" I ask him, staring intently at his eyes.
His face instantly forms into a sad one and I instantly regret asking that question.
"You don't have to answer, I'm sorry."
"No, it's alright." He waves a hand at me as he looks around the place, "I haven't seen her ever since they divorced, I haven't seen her or myâ"
He doesn't get to finish as a girl comes up to our table in a hurry. "I am so sorry to interrupt, but I noticed you two waiting and I wanted to let you know that someone will be here to take your order shortly. Have a wonderful day."
She gives us a welcoming smile and I smile back, "Thank you." I say, and she nods before she rushes to the exit and leaves the building.
I turn to look at Alex as I chuckle, "Well that was random. I wonder why she's in such a rush."
He shrugs, looking down at the table as he folds a napkin.
I sigh as I lean forward and wait patiently for a waitress to come take our order.
"I just got here, my apologies for keeping you two waiting." A girl speaks up by Alex's side and I look up at her as I smile.
"No worries," I reply, "Can we please place our orders now?"
She nods, "Of course, what would you two like?"
I move my gaze down to see Alex still folding the napkin, completely unaware of the girl.
I kick him from under the table, causing him to wince as he snaps his head up to look at me.
"Two peanut butter with chocolate chips?" I question, and he nods his head slowly, fixing his gaze back to his napkin.
I sigh as I look up to the girl, watching her as she tries hard to hold back a smile.
"Guys are like that, you can't keep their attention for long. It's hard for us girls, we always need the attention." She laughs, writing down the orders on her clipboard. "Will that be it for today? No milk? Coffee maybe?"
"I'll take a glass of milk, well two." I answer, offering her a kind smile as she nods and begins to walk towards the back and enters a door.
I kick Alex once again and he groans as he accidentally drops his napkin to the floor.
"Courtney, stop kicking me for the love of God."
"Well, stop ignoring me."
"I'm not ignoring you."
"Oh really? Then what are you doing? Thinking of a plan of how to bang three girls at once?" I accuse, ignoring the shocked glances I receive from the family of four sitting beside us.
He narrows his eyes at me, "Of course not, I'm just thinking."
"So, basically, you are ignoring me." I say, crossing my arms across my chest.
He sighs, "You weren't even talking to me, so technically I wasn't ignoring you."
I watch as the girl comes back out of the 'employees only' door and walks towards our table with our dessert pizzas on a tray she's carrying.
In that very moment, Alex decides to bend down to pick up his napkin and I watch wide-eyed as he bumps his head on the tray when he gets back up. It goes crashing to the floor, along with the pizzas and glasses of milk, and everyone stops doing what they're doing to look at the tragedy.
She gasps as she slaps her hands over her mouth and I ignore the mess, as I see tears pooling in her eyes.
"Oh, no no no, this can't be happening." She drops to her knees in hysterics and I watch as she frantically tries to collect the mess into a pile with her bare hands.
I gasp as the broken glass from the milk pierces her skin and I stand up to help her as she winces in pain.
I take her hands in mine as I look at her, and she looks into my eyes as tears stream down her face.
"I got it, this isn't your fault. Clean your wound and just get me a broom and a rag, okay?" I instruct, and she nods weakly as she gets up from her knees and shakily walks towards the back again.
I turn to see Alex texting on his phone and I cross my arms across my chest, glaring at him.
"Alex!" He instantly looks up at the sound of my voice and smiles sheepishly as he puts his phone down.
"Yeah?"
"You made that poor girl make this mess, and all you're doing is texting?!"
He scratches the back of his neck, "Uh, yeah?"
I shake my head at him and look up to see a man (probably her manager) pushing her back out of the door and she's sobbing as she only holds a rag.
I furrow my eyebrows as they both stand in front of me and I jump up in surprise when he barks orders at her.
"You did this, you clean it up!"
"But, sir, I'm bleeding." She points out.
"Clean it or you're fired! I've given you enough chances!" He shouts, and she whimpers as she gets back down on her knees in front of me.
"With only a rag?" I question softly, and she nods her head as she begins to wipe away the spilled milk first.
He looks around at everyone, "Please get back to your desserts, she's just doing her job." He then turns to look at me, "I'll be sure to prepare you two more pizzas, coming from her paycheck."
She instantly stops cleaning as she looks up at him, "No, you can't do thatâI need the money."
"I'm not giving you a choice, girl." He simply states, before he walks away.
"My name is Alexandra!" She shouts at him, and I look up in confusion when Alex instantly stiffens and drops his phone at the mention of her name.
"Alexandra?" He questions, and she looks up through her tears as she looks at him, dropping the rag as they both gape at each other.
Am I missing something here?
â¿ââ¿ââ¿ââ¿ââ¿ââ¿
No, I am not dead, but I am very much close to being just that.
It's the last couple of weeks of school and finals are very stressful.
My apologies for this very late update but this book is luckier than my other two, I haven't updated those two in over a month. Oops.
But anyways, any guesses of who Alexandra might be? Although it's pretty obvious (I think) comment your guesses here â>
