"It's been twenty minutes, Alex, I'm getting worried." I say, holding his hand tightly as he leads me back into the house.

"Relax, nothing serious can happen in twenty minutes. Besides, I texted the rest of the guys and they're helping us find her." He reassures me, giving my hand a gentle squeeze as he sees my worried expression.

"Many things can happen in twenty minutes, but thank you for trying to calm my nerves."

I walk through the crowd of people as I bite my lip, picturing the worst-case scenario in my head.

"Damien, come dance with me." A voice shouts from behind us and I quickly spin around to see Emily tugging on Damien's arm. He stumbles as he chugs down his drink, setting it down on a chair before he grabs Emily's waist.

Feeling my fear fade into anger, I let go of Alex's hand and storm towards the drunken couple.

"Excuse me." I tell Damien as I grab her hand and pull her away from the dance floor, hearing her whine. Once we're away from the sweaty dancers, I turn to look at her in the eye and grab her shoulders. "Emily, what the hell!"

She furrows her eyebrows at me, "What did I do?"

"You broke all of our rules!"

"No I didn't...I– what are our rules?" She questions, reaching out and grabbing a cup from a girl who was passing by. She looks at her with a scowl, before she continues to walk.

I take away the drink before she can even take a sip, "Emily, you're already drunk."

"Well duh, I was playing beer pong with Damien and we kept losing."

"You're known to have a terrible aim..." I mutter as I set down the cup on a nearby table, looking back up to see her drinking from a new cup. "What the hell, I looked away for a few seconds and you already have another one. Where did you get that from?"

"A guy gave it to me." She tells me and I immediately snatch it from her, frowning when I notice that the cup is already empty.

"Emily, let's go, I can't trust you to be here when you're drunk." I order, pulling her towards the exit, but she pulls away from me. "Emily, stop making this hard for me, you can't be here."

She crosses her arms across her chest, pouting. "I don't want to go home yet."

"Well, that's too bad because I'm not giving you a choice."

"You sound just like my brother." She says as she rolls her eyes.

"I don't care, let's go." I grab her arm, pulling her towards the wanted destination.

"Wait, let me go pee first." She frowns, "Please? I'll tell Damien to go with me."

"Fine, but make it quick."

She nods her head and goes back into the crowd of people, while I climb onto a chair to make sure Damien accompanies her. When I see them climb up the stairs together, I sigh in relief and climb back down to see Alex approaching me.

"What were you doing up there? Is it more fun to be on top of a chair than on the ground? If so, please let me on." He muses, making me laugh when he actually climbs on top of it.

"I was just checking if Emily and Damien were together, that's all."

He jumps down from the chair, wrapping his arm around my waist and pressing his lips against my ear. "Damien never brings his phone to parties because he always gets really drunk, so he's afraid he might lose it. That's why he didn't tell us he was with her, I asked him while you were talking to Emily and they were together all this time."

I sigh, "Yeah, I know, she told me."

"Alright, well why don't you come dance with me? Enjoy the night while you're here." He tells me, tugging me towards the middle of the dance floor.

I look back towards the stairs, checking for Emily. "Relax," He whispers into my ear, "She's with Damien, he might be drunk but his brain is still there."

I close my eyes and take in a deep breath, opening them again to feel a little bit more relaxed. "Yeah, okay. Let's dance, ex-boyfriend." I tease with a smile.

He groans, but smiles a few seconds later. "It won't be long until the ex part disappears." He winks, causing my cheeks to flush as we begin to sway to the music.

"How long did we dance for?" I ask, taking a seat on a stool in the kitchen and accepting the water bottle that Alex gives me.

He looks down at his phone screen, "About thirty minutes—I'm exhausted."

"Me too, I can barely feel my legs. I'm so glad I didn't wear heels, or else I would've been dying."

"Hey, love birds." Julian slurs as he swings his arms around Alex and I. "Where's your sister?" He directs his question towards Alex, taking a sip from his beer.

"Away from you, thankfully."

"Aw, come on, you don't mean that." He says, patting his shoulder.

"Yes, I do."

"Alright, whatever." He turns his attention towards me, "Do you know where she is?"

I shake my head, "No, I don't actually."

"Man, I really wanted to talk to her." He frowns, letting us go and walking back into the crowd.

"You have to give him a chance, Alex. He's a really nice guy, just because our love was confusing. The love we have towards each other is simply as best friends, basically brother and sister."

He gives me a blank stare, "No."

"Alright, sorry." I laugh, putting my hands up in mock defeat, making him glare at me as he takes a sip from his own water bottle.

I gasp when someone bumps into me from behind, knocking me out of my seat.

"Oh shit, sorry." The guy rasps, holding himself up by grabbing onto the counter.

"Damien?" I question as I look up at him, looking around to see if Emily is nearby. "Damien, where's Emily?"

He takes my seat as Alex helps me up from the ground. "She was right behind me." He answers, sliding his hands down his face.

I look around again and sigh in relief when I see her stumbling towards me, grabbing onto my shoulders to steady herself once she's in front of me. "We're going home." I tell her.

She nods her head, "Okay, that's fine."

"Want me to drive you to the house?" Alex asks me and I give him a grateful smile.

"Could you?"

"Of course, let's go." I wrap my arm around Emily as I lead her towards the front door, exiting the house while Alex helps Damien out. "I don't want to drive twice, so I'm going to call out the rest of the guys."

I nod in understanding, seating Emily down on the sidewalk. Alex pulls his phone out and messages the rest of the guys in group chat.

They all stumble out of the house one by one, filling up his truck completely. Alex, Julian, and Steven are all at the front while Emily, Damien, and I are at the back.

"Wait, my car. What about my precious car?" Emily questions with a frown when Alex starts up the engine.

"We can come pick it up tomorrow, don't worry it's safe."

She nods her head, laying her head on Damien's shoulder as she closes her eyes. I lay my head on her shoulder and close my eyes as Alex begins to drive us back home.

"Wait, make a right here." Steven interrupts Alex's driving.

"Why?" He asks, doing as told. "Is there a shortcut this way?"

He pauses for a moment, his attention glued on his phone screen. "Uh, sure."

"You better not get our asses lost."

"Okay, just keep going straight."

Alex, again, does as told and I stare out the window confused. Emily and Damien are both fast asleep and I'm not sure who's the one snoring louder than the music playing in the car.

"Okay, just park here for a minute or two." Steven speaks up after a few more minutes and Alex doesn't ask any questions as he parks the car. We all stare at him confused, watching him on his phone.

Emily grumbles in her sleep and I turn to fix her head on Damien's shoulder, moving her hair away from her face.

"Fuck yes!" Steven suddenly shouts. "I finally got your ass, Pikachu!"

Alex snatches his phone from his hand and looks at the screen, smacking the back of his head. "You made me use up more of my gas to play Pokémon Go?!"

"Ow!" He takes his phone back and rubs his head, glaring at Alex. "Yeah, so what?"

"Do you even know where we are, dumbass?"

"Geez, change your manpon, will you?"

"I will kick you out, this is my truck." Alex warns him.

I reach out for Alex's shoulder and I smile when he puts his hand over mine. "Relax, just please take us home. We're all tired."

He nods his head, "Alright."

"Whipped." Julian mutters, earning himself a smack from both Alex and I.

Finally, I was able to finish and publish this chapter. I have been working on this chapter for the longest time but I've been getting a lot of homework. I tried to write as much as I could when I had the chance but homework tires me out, stopping me from finishing the chapters quickly. I'm aware that it's a bit shorter but I tried my best. I hope you appreciate my effort. I love you all.
