❀Courtney's P.O.V❀

We all ended up sleeping over at Alexander's house, since his dad was spending his nights at the hospital with Mary, and Alexandra didn't want to be alone.

"Damien, sleep with me." Emily tells him, grabbing his hand and leading him to the couch.

"There's a free room straight down the hallway." Alex informs. I turn to look at him, and he smirks at me as he grabs my hand and leads me up the stairs. "Get a room, just not mine, Alexandra's—don't think about it Julian—or dad's."

I look back to see Emily pulling Damien up the stairs as well, both of them stumbling. I bite my lip as he grips my hand tighter and I enter the room with him.

He shuts the door and I lay down on his bed. He unbuttons his shirt as he walks over to me and I blush when I catch a glimpse of his abs.

He crawls on top of me and I look up at him in surprise when he moves my hair away from my face.

"You're so beautiful." He whispers.

He presses his lips to mine and I instantly close my eyes as I kiss him back. His hand slides down my side, gripping my thigh before he wraps my leg around his waist.

"Do you want to..?" He asks me, playing with the sleeve of my shirt.

"Yes." I breathe out.

"You sure?"

"Am I drunk?" I question.

"No."

"Did I stutter?"

"No." He repeats as he chuckles.

"Then shush." I say, lifting my finger and pressing it against his soft lips.

He smiles against it, kissing it softly before he moves it aside and leans back down to continue kissing me.

"Hold on, repeat that please." I tell Emily, watching her pace around the room.

"I had sex with Damien last night!" She whisper-shouts.

"He's your boyfriend, what's the problem?"

"Courtney, fuck." She chokes out, and I stand up from the bed when I see her eyes fill up with tears. "We didn't use protection, we were both drunk for crying out loud."

She crashes into me and I hold her as she cries. "It's okay, Plan B will still be effective if we buy one now. You'll be okay." I assure.

"I don't have fifty dollars to spare, Courtney." She sobs, "My parents will be so disappointed in me."

"No, don't say that. I have a twenty dollar bill in my purse, we still have like fifteen dollars in our 'Non-Virgin Money' jar."

"That's thirty-five dollars, still isn't enough."

"We just need fifteen dollars, Em." I say, walking out of the room and going towards Julian's room. I knock on his door and he opens it after a few moments. "Do you have twenty dollars I can possibly borrow?" Is the first thing I ask.

He raises an eyebrow at me, "Can I ask, why?"

"You already did." I point out, "And it's an emergency."

He digs into the front pocket of his jeans and pulls out his wallet, still confused. He goes through his bills, before he pulls out a twenty.

I quickly snatch it from between his fingers and hurry back to Emily's room. "Thank you, Julian, I owe you!"

I enter the room again to see Emily crying into her hands. I kneel down in front of her and offer her a small smile. "It will be alright, I'll go pick up the pill right now."

She sniffles as she nods her head and I squeeze her shoulder in a comforting manner, before I hurry out of her room. When I get outside of her house, I begin to run towards the nearest pharmacy.

As I get near, I see Damien get out of his car and I slow down. I approach him and he looks at me in confusion.

"Courtney, hey. What are you doing here?" He asks, shutting the door to his car before he groans and grips his head.

"I could ask you the same thing, but I'm guessing it has to do with your hangover." I laugh, walking beside him through the entrance.

"Yup, this headache is killing me."

"I bet you still won't learn your lesson. You're gonna be drinking at the next party you attend, no doubt." I laugh.

"Not in a month, at least." He groans, walking towards the medication aisle.

I go straight to the cash register and smile at the girl on the other side. "Hi, I would like to buy a morning-after pill." I tell her, and she nods her head as she turns around and takes one from the rack.

"Anything else?" She asks, setting it down on the counter.

"No, that will be it, thank you."

"That will be fifty dollars and sixty cents."

I give her the bills and she grabs them from me. I look back to see if anyone sees me and I sigh when I see that Damien is still grabbing his pills.

"Here you go, ma'am." She hands me the change and the pill inside a bag. "Have a nice day."

"Thank you, you too." I smile at her.

I start to walk towards the exit but Damien stops me as he walks out of the aisle he was in. "Hold on, Courtney. I'll drive you home."

I smile at him and wait as he pays for the bottle of pills he picked out. Once he's done, he walks over to me and looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

"Why so secretive?" He questions, noticing me holding the bag behind my back.

"What do you mean?"

"Hmm..." He narrows his eyes at me, but doesn't question me any further.

When we get to his car, he unlocks it and I take my seat on the passenger's seat, while he takes driver. I set the bag on my lap and interlock my hands on top of it, hiding the letters since the bag is see-through.

He pulls out of the parking lot and drives towards Emily's house. "Seriously, what's up?" He asks, "What's in the bag, if you don't mind me asking?"

"What did you buy?" I avoid his question.

He gives me a quick side glance and I smile innocently. "I believe I asked you a question first."

"Maybe I'll answer if you answer me." I say sheepishly.

"I don't see how that's fair, but okay. I bought pills for my migraine, I ran out and alcohol just makes the pain ten times worse." He answers, parking in the driveway and looking over at me. "Now, what's in the bag?"

"A morning-after pill." I reply nonchalantly, getting out of the car and shutting the door behind me.

I hear the sound of the window rolling down and then Damien's voice. "Holy fuck, you two are banging already?!"

I turn around again and take in a deep breath, letting it out before I speak. "Yes, but this pill isn't mine."

He looks at me with furrowed eyebrows, confused. "Then why did you..." He trails off, his eyes widening when he sees my face. "No..."

"Yes, and she's very upset so I need to hurry inside."

"Let me come with you." He says as I hear the sound of his door shut and I turn my head.

"Of course, she needs you."

We walk into the house together and I hurry up the stairs, struggling while Damien simply takes two steps at a time. He walks into the room before me and Emily looks up at him with a tear-stained face.

"Damien..." She lets out a sob and stands up to wrap her arms around his neck. He holds her tight against his chest and she cries as she fists his shirt.

I look at the couple for a few moments, until I decide to give them some time alone. I set the bag down on her makeup vanity and walk out of her room, shutting the door behind me.

I let out a sigh as I have my back against the door and I hear Julian's door close. I turn my head to see him staring back at me with his hand still on the knob.

"Hey." He waves, letting go of the knob to walk towards the stairs.

"Hi." I say, walking behind him as we both go down the stairs.

"Emily kicked you out of her room again?"

I laugh as I shake my head, "No, Damien is in there with her."

He nods his head in understanding, jumping down the last four steps and I jump off from the second one.

"We haven't gone to Crusty's in a very long time, we should all go together as a group." I suggest, pulling out my phone from my pocket. "What do you think?"

"Will Alexandra be there?"

"I'll try to get her to go." I laugh, setting up a group chat with everyone. "So, are you in?"

He looks back at me and winks. "I'm in, but I expect her to be there."

"Alright, I'll do my best." I say, "Can you please give me a ride?"

"To?"

"Crusty's."

He opens the door and let's me walk out first. "Alright, but I have to pick up something first."

"Is it a girl?" I ask as I walk towards his car. "Because if it's a girl I will slap you. I'm trying to convince Alex to give you a chance with Alexandra and picking up a girl won't help either one of us."

He unlocks his car, letting both of us in. "No, it isn't a girl."

"Then?"

"I have to pick up my tux from the dry-cleaners."

I pull the seat belt around me, locking it in place. "Ooh, where are you going dressed in a tux?" I muse, wiggling my eyebrows at him.

"Prom." He replies, "It's next weekend, in case you forgot."

"Damnit!"

"You forgot, didn't you?" He laughs, shaking his head.

"I did!" I shout as I drop my head in my hands. "Change of plans, can you please be a darling and take me to the mall?"

"Courtney, I'm not your boyfriend." He sighs, "Besides, won't Alex get mad?"

"Yeah, well you led me on so you owe me. And Alex won't get mad, you're still my friend, right?"

He sighs in defeat, "To the mall it is."

"Thank you, Julie." I grin, reaching over to pinch his cheek.

He groans, starting up the engine. "I thought we went over this. Don't call me that."

"I never promised anything, sweet Julie."

"Fuck my life."

I laugh, "No thanks, I'd much rather do that with Alex."

"Okay, gross. Please don't talk for the rest of the ride."

"No promises."

Groaning, he puts in a CD and turns it up to its max capacity, making me wince and cover my ears.

"What the hell!?" I shout, but I doubt he hears me as he starts to drive to our destination.

"This one?"

"Nah, too yellow."

"What's wrong with yellow?" I question, looking at myself in the full-length mirror.

"Everything."

I turn to glare at him, before I walk back into the dressing room to try on another dress. "How about this one?"

He looks at the dress carefully. "I'll give it an eight out of ten. I'm sure there's better ones."

Nodding my head, I go back in and repeat the process until I find the perfect dress.

"Alright, this is the last dress. What do you think?" I ask, smoothing it out around my hip area.

He stares at me, "That's the one."

"Really?" I question, turning to look at myself in the mirror one last time, smiling to myself when I see how well the dress fits. "This is the one."

"I just said that."

"Shush, Julie."

"Ima kill myself if you call me that again." He groans, making me laugh.

"Sorry, Julie."

"I hate you." He mutters, "Anyways, can we go get something to eat now? I swear, you took forever picking out that damn dress."

He stands up from his seat and I roll my eyes, going back into the dressing room to take off the dress.

Once back in my clothes, I pay for the dress with the money I got from my mom and follow Julian towards the food court, the bag with the dress in hand.

"I still need shoes, so after we eat can we go look for some?" I ask, rushing my steps to walk beside him.

"Emily has a closet full of them, just tell her to let you borrow some. Why waste so much money when you don't need to?"

I look up at him with an arched brow, "Wow, for once, I actually agree with you."

"Screw you." He laughs, shoving me gently.

I shove him back, smiling wide as I realize how much I missed hanging out with him like this.

As we walk past Victoria's Secret, I spot Alex waiting outside with another girl and I slow down my steps. Julian notices and stops altogether, looking back at me, before he follows my line of sight.

"Don't assume, it can get you in trouble." He warns.

I sigh, shaking my head. "You're right. You are so right."

"But don't keep quiet either, go talk to him."

He gently pushes me in the direction of the store and I hesitantly keep walking, taking in a deep breath. When I'm only a few feet away, Alex looks over at me and looks shocked for a few seconds, before he smiles at me.

"Courtney, what are you doing here?" He asks, walking over to me the rest of the way.

I look towards the girl, "I can ask you the same question." I smile, switching my gaze up to his face.

He looks back at her and she smiles awkwardly, swinging her shopping bag.

"It's seriously not what it looks like, Courtney." He starts, "I can explain."

"Then explain."

"Of course," he nods, "Alexandra asked me to come with her, because she needs new undergarments, but on our way to this store, she met up with her friend." —he points back at the girl, and she waves— "And she joined us, but her ex is in there with his new girlfriend and it still hurts her, so I offered to wait out here with her while Alexa gets what she needs."

I instantly feel guilty, "I'm sorry, it's just...you weren't always a gentleman and–"

He laughs, "It's fine, I wouldn't trust me either."

"N-no, it's not that! I just– I'm sorry. I do trust you."

He grabs my face between his hands and makes me look at him, a big smile on his face. "I think it's cute that you get jealous."

"I wasn't jealous!" I quickly defend, getting flustered.

"Mhm." He muses, pecking my lips.

I pull away from him and turn around with my arms crossed, pouting. "I don't get jealous, you can go to any girl you want."

"Seriously?" He sounds shocked, "That's awesome!"

I quickly spin around and cling onto his arm, "No! You're mine and only mine!"

The girl laughs and I look up at her, my eyebrows furrowed.

I then look up at him and pull away when I see the smirk on his face. "Don't look so smug." I scoff, looking into the store.

"Jealous." He whispers into my ear, making me shiver.

"Shut up!"

He laughs, before he plants a kiss on top of my head. "Don't worry, I think it's cute."

"Whatever."

"Besides," he adds, "I'm glad I'm not the only one. No other guys gets to do things to you like I do, because you're mine."
