Livianaâs POV
I froze in place for a moment.
Then, I shoved away Rainer as I rushed to Luos Greyâs side.
I placed my hands on his wound as I planned to heal him.
âWhat do you think youâre doing?!â Luan shouted at me and pulled me away from his father by the wrist.
My men immediately moved as they pointed their swords at Luan.
Luan didnât even flinch.
I glared at him.
âAnd what do you think youâre doing?! Are you out of your mind?!â I said and pulled my hand away from him.
I went back to Luis Greyâs side.
I bit my lower l*p as I started to heal him.
âStop it!â Luan shouted and my men held him to stop him.
âLivianaâ Rainer came to my side.
âWhat are you doing?â Rainer said with furrowed brows.
I didnât answer him.
Iâm not going to just stand on the side and watch Luis Grey die.
Not when Luan was the reason.
I donât want him thinking about how he killed his own father with his own hands for the rest of his life.
It will torture him.
Iâd rather regret a lot of things than see Luan go through that.
I refuse to let Luan suffer like that.
I canât do that to him.
Heâs already gone through so much.
âLivianaâ Rainer called again.
I bit my l*p as I looked up at him as my eyes watered.
I shook my head at him.
Rainer sighed.
I looked at Luis Grey again.
He was fully healed but unconscious.
Rainer softly pulled me up and wrapped me in his arms.
My hands were bloody and shaky.
I bit my lower l*p as I buried my face in Rainerâs chest.
I just saved Luis Grey.
I saved the person who ruined my life.

I looked at Luanâs direction as he fell on his knees and started crying.
I slowly pulled away from Rainer and made my way to Luan.
I stopped in front of him but he didnât raise his head.
I glanced at my guards and motioned them to let him go.
They hesitantly let Luan go.
âWhy would you do that?â I said.
I bit my lower l*p as I clenched my fists.
âYou shouldnât have done that, Luanâ I told him.
âThenâ¦â he started without raising his head.
âShould I haveâ¦watched him kill you in front of my eyes?â he said.
He still didnât look at me.
âI couldâve stopped him myselfâ I told him.
Luan didnât answer.

He slowly stood up and my men immediately moved in caution to protect me.
Luan stopped and I saw him gulp.
âIâm not going to hurt herâ Luan said.

âIâm really sorry, Livianaâ he said as his voice broke.
âLuanâ I said but he ignored me.

My men stepped aside as Luan walked away.
âWhere are you going, Luan?â I said.

We watched as Taehyung made his way to the exit where his men were trying to get inside.
He opened the door and saw the huge rock covering the doors of the palace.
I sighed and let it go back to the ground.

I bit my lower l*p as my heart clenched inside my chest.
I saw the shocked expression in everyoneâs face.

âHer name is Liviana White Alaricâ¦.her highness, Queen Livianaâ he said and turned to look at me.
I met eyes with Luan.
He gave me a small smile but I felt every pain he was feeling.
He was being torn apart inside.

âQueen Liviana White Alaricâ Luan said and he bowed his head and got on one knee as he lowered his head.
Luanâs men looked at them stunned but they still copied Luan.
Everyone from Lunar got on one knee and lowered their heads in respect to me.
I gulped.
I felt like I something was eating me up inside.
My men started to cheer and I remained still.
I was still staring at Luan.
But he didnât even dare look up at me.
I just wanted to run to him and hug him.
Tell him that it wasnât his fault.
I want to let him know how much Iâve missed him.
And tell him about Luke.
âLivianaâ my dad came to my side.
Dad gave me a small smile and stepped closer to me.
I was about to hug him when I realized that my hands were still tainted with Luis Greyâs b***d.
I stepped back from my father.
âLivianaâ my father called me softly.
âMy handsâ I told him slightly shaking.
He sighed.
Then, Rainer suddenly came to my side with something in his hand.
He grabbed my hands and gently cleaned them with a cloth.
I glanced at his clothing and saw the b***d there from when he hugged me earlier after I healed Luis Grey.
âYour clothesâ I blurted out.
Rainer glanced at his clothes and sighed.
Rainer finished cleaning my hands.
Then, he removed his b***d stained clothing.
Somehow, it made me feel less anxious.
âCome hereâ dad finally said and pulled me to him for a hug.
I hugged him tightly as I buried my face on his chest.
My dad caressed my head protectively.
âYouâve done it. Itâs going to be okay nowâ he said.
I took deep calming breaths.
I thought I could face all of this with my head held high but in the end, I still managed to lose it.
I expected a lot of things for this day but seeing Luan almost kill his father was not one that Iâd expected.
And I specially did not expect that Iâd be tbe one to save his father from dying either.
Thatâs probably because I wanted him dead myself.
Still, I couldnât see him die because of Luan.
I just didnât want Luan to carry that burden.
Luis Grey is worst than a monster, yes.
But Luan isnât.
Itâs not him.
His father is but not him.
I canât let him do something that will destroy him for the rest of his life.

I turned to look at my grandfather and he had his hands opened for him.
I slightly smiled as my dad let me go and my grandfather hugged me.
âIâm so proud of youâ he said.
I couldnât even reply a simple âthank youâ because I didnât know how to feel about the situation.
I turned to look at the direction of Luan but he wasnât there.
He was gone.
My eyes roamed around to find him but I didnât see him anywhere.
After that, uncle Dante hugged me.
âAre you looking for him?â he whispered to me.
I bit my lower l*p.
âHe leftâ he said.
My heart ached.

âJust let him be for now, Liviana. Iâm sure itâs hard for the both of you right now. You both need some time to take all of this inâ uncle Dante said and planted a k**s on the top of my head.
I nodded in agreement.
Maybe he really does need some time for himself.

I took it and my father led me up the staircase just high enough for everyone to see me.

The men from Lunar looked up at me.

They murmured amongst each other.

The others looked around.
I already knew who among the people in the room was part of Luis Greyâs men.

âI, Liviana White Alaric am the heiress of both Lunar and Halo. The true ruler of the werewolf territoryâ I stated.
All of them kneeled before me in respect including my own men.
I held my head high despite the heavy feeling in my chest.
