Liviana’s POV

“Goodnight, baby” I whispered as I kissed Luke goodnight and tucked him in.

Then, I went straight to the bathroom and took a quick shower.

I wore a robe when I got out.

As soon as I got out of the bathroom, Luan was sitting beside our son staring at him lovingly.

“Hey” I said softly.

Luan turned to look at me.

“Hey” he said and gave Luke a k**s before standing up amd heading towards me.

Luan gave me a k**s on my temple.

“Did you already see Cassandra off?” I asked.

Luan nodded.

“And El reacted how?” I asked curiously.

“He didn’t see her off” he said with a shrug.

I sighed.

What an i***t that dude is.

“Well that’s kind of dumb. How did Cassandra feel about it” I asked further.

It seems that I’m a nosy one these days.

Well, that’s probably because a lot of unexpected things have been happening since I came back.

And well, since everyone I knew from Lunar found out that I was still alive.

One, there’s my uncle being mated to basically my cousin Kaley.

Then, there’s also El being mated to Luan’s cousin.

Too much drama.

“I’m sure she wasn’t feeling too enthusiastic about her mate not even seeing her off” Luan said.

I nodded in agreement.

And here I thought that El was excited to meet his mate.

Now, he’s being a complete dork about it.

“Come here” Luan said and pulled me to the balcony.

Then, he stood beside me and hugged me from the back.

I smiled as we stayed like that.

Then, there was a breeze of cool wind and I shivered a little making Luan hug me tighter.

I snuggled closer to him.

“Do you want to ask me anything? Tell me anything?” I suddenly asked him.

These past few days were actually spent with him, Luke and I getting to bond with each other rather than catching up with each other.

“Hmmm” Luan hummed as he thought about it.

“I can ask anything?” he asked.

I nodded.

“Anything at all” I said.

Luan was silent for a moment.

“Even about your Rainer ‘friend’?” he said.

I chuckled.

“And what would you even want to know about him?” I asked.

“Did you ever have feelings for him?” he suddenly asked.

I thought about it.

“No, not really. Or atleast not in that way” I said.

“Why?” he asked.

“Rainer is a great guy. Any woman will be lucky to have him” I started.

I could already imagine Luan’s frowning face.

“But” I said.

“He’s not my mate. You are. I couldn’t look at Rainer or fall in love with him the way I did with you. I don’t know but I just can’t” I told him.

Then, I turned around to look at Luan.

“Why are you so intrigued with my relationship with Rainer, anyway?” I asked curiously.

Luan sighed.

“The way you look at each other” he said.

I raised a brow at him.

“What do you mean?” I said.

“The way you look at each other was too pure for my liking” he said and looked away.

I slightly chuckled.

“He’s obviously in love with you and you obviously care for him” he said with a sigh.

“I’m not even going to lie to you because that’s both true” I admitted.

Luan bit his lower l*p while still looking away.

“But also keep in mind that if I was really that into Rainer, I would be with him right now and not you” I told him.

Luan looked at me.

“Well, it may be because we have Luke and you don’t have a choice” he said pouting.

I rolled my eyes.

I didn’t know that Luan was this worried about Rainer and I’s connection.

But I guess he is.

I wouldn’t blame him.

If I saw him with another woman, I’d question him too.

“Even without Luke in the picture, it would still be you, Luan. In fact, even if I died and went to the afterlife, it would still be you. Just you” I said cupping his face.

Luan looked at me with a smile.

“Really?” he said.

I nodded.

“Really” I said.

Luan gave me a peck on the lips and buried his face on my neck.

“You may be an i***t sometimes. And maybe a little too possessive and territorial for my liking” I said.

I felt Luan frown and I chuckled.

“Anyways, my point is, however you are with your good qualities and imperfections, as long as it’s you, you’re the person I’m going to choose to be with” I assured him.

Luan tightened his arms on my waist as he buried his face on my neck more.

“I get that you have your doubts since I lived my life away from you without any type of clue what I was doing while I knew almost everything about you but the thing is, if I wanted to move on with my life without you, I wouldn’t be here in this position right now, Luan” I said.

Luan looked up at me.

I sighed as I held his face.

“I think I’ve said too much cheesy stuff. I’m cringing deep inside” I said chuckling.

Luan chuckled as well.

“I like this new side of you” he said with a shrug.

“My point is” I said and took a deep breath.

I looked into Luan’s eyes.

“I love you, Luan. I always have and I always will” I said.

Luan’s eyes watered as he leaned in to k**s me.

I felt his tear drop as he held my face to deepen the k**s.

It was deep and passionate k**s.

Full of love and affection.

Luan pulled away.

Then, he placed his forehead on mine.

“I love you, Liviana. I love you so much more than I can ever tell you. I don’t know how to live without you so please stay. Stay by my side and never leave me again because I’ll never be able to survive losing you again” he said as tears streamed down his face.

I teared up as I wiped his tears.

“Every single day without you was pure hell to me. You became my life. My everything. And when you suddenly disappeared, it felt like I had felt everything then suddenly nothing” he said.

My own tears started to break loose.

“I imagined life with you when we met and from then on, I couldn’t imagine life without you. I forgot what life was if I couldn’t be with you” Luan continued.

I kept trying to wipe his tears.

My heart was aching for him.

The pain in his voice pierced me deep within.

“Don’t leave me again please” he said.

“Luan” I said and made him look at me.

“Listen to me, okay?” I said.

Luan nodded.

“I’m never going to leave you again. Never” I assured him.

“I promise” I said.

Luan smiled and nodded.

Luan wiped my own tears and gave me a k**s on the forehead.

“Do you want to sleep with Luke and I tonight?” I asked him.

“You think I’ll wake up tomorrow still alive if your Pa finds out?” he asked chuckling.

I laughed.

“Oh I’m sure he wouldn’t try to kill you when Luke is between us” I said with a shrug.

We both laughed.

Luan nodded.

“That sounds great” he said.

I smiled.

I went and got dressed into my sleepwear while Luan laid down beside Luke.

Then, I laid down on the other side of Luke so that our son was between us.

“Luke is turning 3 in a few months, right?” Luan asked.

I nodded.

“Yeah. Why?” I said.

“Do you already have something planned for him?” he asked curiously.

I shook my head.

“I’ll ask him a month before his birthday. I think he’ll want to do something else than what I’d normally decide on” I said.

Luan chuckled and nodded in agreement.

“Luke may resemble me but he sure takes after your personality” Luan pointed out.

I chuckled and nodded.

“That I can agree on” I said.

Luan and I chuckled.

“Liviana” Luan called softly.

“Hmmm?” I answered with a hum.

“Do you want to go on a date with me?” Luan suddenly asked.

I was caught off guard.

“Just you and me if possible. We can take Luke out some other time with the 3 of us” he said.

I bit my lower l*p as I blushed like a teenager.

“Sure” I said.

Luan smiled.

“Goodnight, love” Luan said and reached out to touch my face with a smile on his face.

I smiled as I touched his hand on my face.

“Goodnight” I said.

Luan smiled and closed his eyes to sleep.

I just stared at him for a moment.

After all I’ve been through in my life, I’m still so thankful to be where I am right now.

I looked at Luan and Luke.

I actually have my little family now.

I wouldn’t have imagined myself in this situation but here I am.

Luan and I are still in like a restart phase in our relationship and trying to catch up with each other’s changes in life.

But I’m so glad that it’s still him.

I never realized how lucky I was until I almost lost us.

I’ve changed so much in 3 years and although it’s a little overwhelming, it’s something I wouldn’t ever regret.

I came from being a cold hearted female Alpha and mate to a warm person and well, Queen and mother.

Isn’t that surprising?
