âHe looks so cute!â Katie squealed excitedly through the phone.
She suddenly called while I was getting Luke dressed for the day.
âOmg! My nephew looks so cute!â she squealed again.
Luke giggled.
âThank you, auntie Katieâ Luke said blushing.
I smiled.
Luke looked so cute when heâs shy.
âYouâre welcome, baby boy! Auntie Katie canât wait to see you soon. What do you want me to bring you when I visit next time?â Katie asked Luke.
Luke glanced at me first and I gave him a nod.
âIce cream pleaseâ Luke requested.
Katie nodded enthusiastically.
âOkay, baby boy. Auntie Katie will be sure to bring you lots and lots of ice creamâ Katie said.
I chuckled.
Oh this is going to be a bit difficult to handle.
Ice cream, Katie and Luke.
âThank you, Auntie Katieâ Luke said cutely.
Katie squealed again.
âSo cute!â she said.
I just shook my head in disbelief.
Katie is spoiling Luke too much.
I canât complain though.
If Katie had a child, I would probably do the same thing and spoil them.
I guess thatâs just how things work for bestfriends?
âLivi!â she called for me so I turned the phone to my face so she can see me.
âYes?â I replied.
âIâm really serious about spending my Christmas break there with you and Luke. Youâre sure itâs okay, right?â she asked again.
I nodded.
âItâs fine, Katieâ I assured her.
âGood. Iâm only asking again just so you know you canât have wild nights with Luan for the time beingâ she said bluntly.
I coughed.
âKatie!â I scolded.
That caught me off guard.
âWhat? Iâm just saying it in case youâre planning on making baby no. 2. I wouldnât want to walk in on you guys doing the deedâ she said and shrugged.
I pursed my lips as I flushed red.
âWeâre not doing THAT, Katie. Ghadâ I said embarrassed.
The farthest Luan and I have gone since I came back was k**s.
Nothing else.
âReally? You guys havenât done IT since you came back?â she asked curiously.
I nodded shyly.
Katie gasped.
âWhatâs holding you guys back? Is it Luke? He can stay with me for the night and you guys can do IT if you wantâ she suggested.
I looked at her wide eyed.
âKatie!â I scolded again.
This conversation took a different turn.
âWhat? Itâs not like you guys havenât done it in the past. Luke is living proof. Literallyâ she said.
My face was really red.
I wouldâve never thought weâd have this kind of conversation over the phone.
But them again, if it was in person, it might be even more embarrassing.
Anyway, wht are we even talking about it in the first place?
âLetâs just change subject, please?â I said fanning myself.
Katie laughed.
âMom and dad will come with us in our next visit. Itâs fine, right?â she asked.
I nodded.
âOf course. Itâs been a while since I saw your parents. Itâd be nice to see them againâ I said.
Katie smiled.
âItâs settled thenâ she said excitedly.
âNow, go on ahead and continue getting dressed for your little family day tripâ she said.
I nodded.
âWeâll see you soonâ I said.
Katie nodded.
She gave us a k**s through the phone and we said goodbye.
I sighed as I continued to fan myself.
I donât think Iâll be needing blush for the day.
I think Katieâs teasing was more than enough to make not only my cheeks red but also my whole face.
I went to my closet and took out my clothes for the day.
Luan and I decided after our date that we should take Luke out somewhere together.
We agreed to bring him in an amusement park where we had our first date.
It would be fun since I have really brought Luke to an amusement park before.
Iâm sure that heâll have lots of fun since heâs the active type and there are a lot of fun things to do for kids in an amusement park.
I wore a white turtleneck ribbed knit drop shoulder sweater, a pair of light wash jeans and white sneakers.
I tied my hair into a ponytail and only did natural makeup.
Luke was wearing a dusty blue solid round neck pullover, white straight leg pants and sneakers.
I also styled his hair a bit so he looked so cute and neat.
Then, there was a knock on the door and Luan peaked inside.
âDaddy!â Luke squealed excitedly when he saw his dad.
Luan smiled and went to him.
âHey there, buddy. You ready?â Luan asked Luke.
Luke nodded vigorously.
Then, Luan turned to look at me.
He went to me and gave me a k**s on the forehead.
âAre you ready?â he asked.
I nodded.
âYeah. Should we go now?â I said.
Luan nodded.
Luan held my hand while he carried Luke in his other arm.
We all went down together and said goodbye to everyone before leaving then went out of the pack house.
Luan secured Luke in the toddler seat in the passenger seat and I got inside to check on Lukeâs position.
After that was settled, Luan got in and we drove off.
I looked at the rear view mirror and saw how excited Luke was.
Although the 3 of us have been spending a lot of time together, this is the first time that weâre going outside of the pack together.
It was obvious how excited Luke was.
He looked so cute in his seat and I couldnât help but smile.
âI could look at the both of you all dayâ Luan suddenly said.
I glanced at him and saw him glancing at us with a wide smile on his face.
âYou two are the greatest thing that ever happened to meâ he said and reached out for my hand and held it.
I smiled and intertwined our hands.
Luan then proceeded to k**s my hand.
I blushed.
We were just like that the whole ride.
Luke even ended up telling us his stories when he was playing with Ellie and Lizi.
According to him, he really enjoy playing with them.
âMommy? Daddy?â Luke said.
âYes, buddy?â Luan and I answered in unison.
We both chuckled.
âWhen can I have a sibling?â Luke suddenly asked.
I coughed.
I turned around to look at Luke in shock.
âA sibling? Why suddenly ask for a sibling, baby?â I asked stunned.
I glanced at Luan and saw him smiling from ear to ear.
âBecause I want to be a big brother, mommyâ Luke said.
I chuckled nervously.
âBut youâre still a baby, sweetheartâ I said.
I can already see Luanâs mischievous smile from my peripheral vision.
âNo, Iâm not, mommy. Iâm turn 3 soon. Iâm going to be a big boy soonâ Luke insisted.
I gulped.
â3 years old is still very young, buddyâ I told him.
Luke shook his head with a pout.
âThen, can I be a big brother when I turn 4, mommy?â Luke asked innocently.
I bit my lower l*p anxiously.
âYou can, buddy. Do you want a little sibling soon?â Luan suddenly said.
I turned to look at him wide eyed.
Luan looked back at me teasingly.
Luke on the other hand, nodded enthusiastically.
âYes, daddyâ Luke said.
âMommy and I will work on it. Donât worry, buddyâ Luan said and glanced at me mischievously.
Then, he winked at me.
I flushed red.
Oh ghad.
I sat there in silence while Luke and Luan talked about how fun it would be for Luke to have a sibling.
I suddenly remembered ny conversation with Katie earlier today.
That made me feel even more embarrassed of the situation.
I mean, sure Luan and I did plan on having more than one child before.
But still.
I didnât imagine that weâd actually have a conversation about it with our first child.
Luke seemed even more thrilled.
While I on the other hand, was as red as a tomato.
After a while, we reached the amusement park.
We got off and Luan took Luke from the passenger seat.
Then, Luan held my hand as we made our way to the ticket booth.
I got the tickets while Luan carried Luke.
After that, we went inside together.
Luan let Luke down.
âMommy, daddy, look!â Luke pointed here and there.
He looked so happy and excited.
It was the cutest thing.
We really should bring Luke out more.
Luan stood beside me and placed his hand on my waist as we watched Luke.
âWouldnât it be cuter if Luke had a siblingâ he whispered into my ear.
I blushed almost immediately and looked at him with wide eyes.
Luan chuckled and winked at me before going to Luke.
I bit my lower l*p as I looked at the both of them.
It was such a perfect scene.
Looking at them made my heart feel full.
My little family.
Itâs completely perfect.
