Luan’s POV

Someone knocked then Beau came in the room.

“Luan” he said but I didn’t acknowledge him.

I knew why he was here.

“Luan, you need to get yourself fixed. You look like sht. You haven’t left Liviana since she came here. You haven’t been eating too. Are you trying to kill yourself?” he asked in disbelief.

Yes, I haven’t really gone out of the room since Liviana was admitted.

I couldn’t.

I didn’t want to.

I wanted to stay by her side and be the first one she sees when she wakes up.

I want to hug her.

K**s her even.

Maybe scold her a little later on for being so reckless.

I want to be by her side.

Let her know that I’m here for her.

I also lost my appetite.

I can’t eat properly knowing my mate was suffering.

The pain she must be feeling is unimaginable.

Just thinking of it makes me want to just transfer the pain to me.

I can’t bare seeing her like this.

“Do you seriously think that Liviana will be happy to see you like this?” Beau said. I growled lowly at him.

What does he know?

It’s not his mate who’s on the hospital bed with all these machines connected to her body.

Beau sighed.

“Look, Luan. Her family will look after her, I’m sure. For now, atleast go home and take a bath or something. Do you really want to look like a hobo when your mate wakes up? That’s not very eye pleasing, your majesty” he said and I glared at him.

I looked at my mate again.

Maybe he’s right.

I need to atleast look decent when Liviana wakes up.

Or else I’ll be the one to get a scolding from her.

I sighed.

I stood up and planted a k**s on my mate’s forehead.

“I’ll be back soon” I said as I lightly caressed her hair then I followed Beau out.

There were about 4 guards guarding Liviana’s room.

2 are from Liviana’s pack.

And 2 are my guards.

I saw Liviana’s uncle by the glass where one can see the inside of the room.

He’s been visiting as often as he could while helping Liviana’s Beta lead their pack.

We haven’t spoken or started bickering since Liviana was admitted.

I can tell that he too was blaming herself for not being able to protect her.

He looked at my direction but didn’t say anything and proceeded to look at Liviana through the glass.

I made my out of the hospital with Beau and we went back to the place we were staying in.

I went to room and got a change of clothes before going to the bathroom.

I took a thorough warm shower, shaved my face and slipped into my clothes.

I packed a few more clothes to change into while I looked after my mate.

I didn’t know how long she’d still be in a coma but I know that I’ll be staying with her for as long as I need to.

I immediately went back to the pack hospital after I freshened up.

Then there was a sudden commotion.

My brows furrowed.

“Code Blue! Code Blue in ICU 1” I heard a nurse shout.

My eyes widened.

ICU 1 is where Liviana is.

I rushed to the ICU along with the hospital staff.

Then we storm inside the room.

Only to find it….empty.

“Where’s the Alpha?!” one of the doctors shouted.

My mind went blank as my heart beat started to pick up.

Where’s my mate?

“She was just here a moment ago when we were trying to open the door, doctor” one of the guards said confused.

My fist clenched.

“Where’s my mate?!” I growled as my eyes glowed bright green.

Everyone stepped away in fear as I breathed heavily.

“I said where’s my mate?! Find her!” I growled angrily.

I was ready to lose it now.

“Review the CCTVs. Everyone, find Alpha Liviana” the doctor said calmly.

Everyone got out of the room and I punched wall in the room.

“Fck!” I cussed in frustration.

I left for a little while and this is where I come back to?

Wtf?

I shouted im frustration as I punched the wall again.

I calmed myself down a bit before I can hurt anyone.

I knew that if I end up hurting someone because of my temper, Liviana will not be pleased with me.

I got out of the room and made my way out of the hospital.

I searched in the woods.

In their pack house.

In their whole territory.

But there was no sign of my mate.

I can’t even pick up her scent anywhere.

I can’t seem to reach out to her either.

The sun went down and everyone was already aware of the situation and has been searching for Liviana for the past few hours.

But there was no progress.

Even the CCTV didn’t show her leaving the hospital or her room.

No one went in there too.

It was like she had vanished into thin air.

I went back by the river where we always met. I don’t know how many times I went here hoping to see her here.

But nothing.

I was starting to lose it.

My wolf too.

We’re blaming ourself for leaving our mate behind when we could’ve stayed by her side all along.

And now she’s gone.

Again.

Deimos whimpered helplessly.

Where are you, Liviana?

“Your majesty” one of my guards mind linked me.

“What?” I replied shortly.

I had no more energy left in me.

“Alpha Liviana of Crescent Moon pack is back in their pack house” he replied and my ears perked uo before I made a run for it.

I ran as fast as I could.

Liviana is back.

My mate is back.

She’s not gone.

She’s back.

I arrived at the pack house and shifted to my human form. A guard handed me some clothes and I quickly slipped into them.

I took a deep breath.

Please.

I pushed the door open and entered the pack house.

Then I saw her.

I saw my mate sitting in the living room calmly as she’s surrounded by her uncle, Beta, El and others.

She turned to look at me and our eyes met then she smiled.

“Hey” she said and I rushed to hug her.

She’s back.

My mate is back.
