Liviana’s POV

It’s been more than a week since that little confrontation with Luan.

He tries to see me and talk to every chance that he get but I always refuse to acknowledge him.

Why should I?

That night that I didn’t come home to the pack house, I slept over at Katie’s. She ranted to me how beyond pissed she was of Luan till she fell asleep that night.

Flashback…

“Your mate is an absolute moron” Katie ranted in frustration as she screamed on her pillow. I laughed at how funny she looked.

Katie screamed on her pillow and for a few moments, she was quiet.

Then the silence was broken when I heard her snoring.

I chuckled.

She fell asleep just like that.

I fixed her sleeping position so she doesn’t suffocate with her face buried in her pillow then tucked her in beside me.

I decided to sleep over at their place after knowing from my men that Luan was waiting for me back in the pack house.

The last thing I wanted right now was to see him.

Amaris was extra quiet about the situation but I can feel her sadness and disappointment towards Luan and I.

There was a knock on the door and Blake and Katie’s mom entered the room.

“Are you okay here, Livi?” she asked and I nodded with a small smile.

“I’m okay, mrs. Smith. Thank you for letting me sleep over in such a short notice” I thanked her and she gave me a warm smile.

“You’re family, Livi. You can stay here anytime you want and we’ll welcome you with open arms always” she said and I smiled at her kindness.

“Thank you, mrs. Smith” I said and she came in and hugged me.

“You’re welcome, Livi” she said then said goodnight.

After a few minutes, there was another knock on the door and when it opened, it revealed Blake.

He was only wearing his sweats without a top while a towel is on his shoulder.

“You’re here because?” I said raising a brow at him. He chuckled and came in.

“Grumpy much?” he said playfully and walked inside the room then pulled on a the bean bag in Katie’s room before sitting beside the bed.

“You should probably put a top on or something” I pointed out and he grinned at me.

“Why? Does my hot body bother you?” he said raising his brows up and down. I chuckled.

“You do realize that I’ve seen more than just topless guys my whole life, right?” I said and his eyes widened.

“Now, I don’t need to hear about that” he said as he flushed red making me laugh.

I got off my bed and headed straight to my bathroom for a quick shower before dressing into my training clothes.

It’s a weekend and I have nothing else interesting to do except train with my pack members.

That’s my life.

I got down to the kitchen to eat breakfast first and saw Ellie eating with El.

“Livi!” she squealed and squirmed in her seat excitedly.

“Good morning, little one” I said as I gave a k**s on the top of her head.

“Good morning, Livi” she said cheerfully making me smile.

“You’re heading the training today?” El asked and I nodded.

“I am. I need to teach the others more defensive techniques after our last fight with the rogues” I said.

I’ve been training awfully a lot during the week instead of being cooped up in my office.

“In short, you’re teaching them how to fight while protecting someone at the same time without almost getting killed?” he said with a raised brow.

“Yes, exactly” I said and we both chuckled.

I was served some breakfast and I started to devour my food when Dante came in.

“Good morning, princess” he greeted and kissed the top of my head like usual.

“Have you had breakfast?” I asked him as I ate.

“I did, yes” he chuckled and I nodded.

I finished up breakfast quickly and made my way to the training grounds with Dante and El.

There were already a lot of members on the training grounds and Alex was already there.

Alex saw me and he immediately commanded everyone to greet me.

“Good morning, Alpha” everyone greeted.

“Good morning” I greeted back.

“Alpha, Prince Luan is here” my guard mind linked me.

I sighed.

“Tell him that I’m not going to talk to him even if he’s here. I’m busy” I replied.

“Okay, Alpha” my guard replied and we cut the link.

Doesn’t he get tired?

He seems to have a lot of free time on his hands.

Alex made everyone go in line as he briefed them of today’s training.

Then at the corner of my eye, I saw him.

I saw Luan.

Amaris howled in excitement at his mere presence and it pissed me off.

I hated how he made Amaris and I feel this way.

“Do you want me to tell him to leave?” Dante asked me. I shook my head.

“Let him do him. I don’t care if he’s here or not as long as he doesn’t bother me” I said. Dante nodded.

The training started with some warm up exercises led by Alex then I took over the official training.

I started with techniques that can be used when in human form first.

I’ll teach them more in their wolf form some other time.

I wandered around as I looked over everyone as they did their tasks that I told them to do.

I was very keen in watching them along with Alex and Dante helping me.

I didn’t let myself get distracted by Luan even though I know that his eyes never once left me since he arrived.

“Are you sure you’re not going to talk to him, Livi?” El said when I passed him.

“Focus on what you’re doing” I told him making him chuckle.

“Okay, Alpha” he teased and I rolled my eyes at him.

After that, I let everyone rest for a little bit.

“Liviana” Luan called but I ignored him.

“Please atleast look at me” he said in a desperate tone as he stood in front of me.

“Back off, Grey. I’d snap your neck if you keep bothering my niece” Dante warned him.

Luan sighed.

“Liviana, please” Luan begged again and Dante finally approached us but even before he could get to Luan, I stopped him.

“Don’t” I calmly said. Dante sighed and returned to his seat.

I turned to look at Luan with an annoyed expression.

“Can’t you just leave? You know that I don’t want to see you or talk to you. Just give up already” I said and walked away as my heart clenched.

Luan caught up to me until we were in a safe distance from the training pack members.

“I’m not giving up on you, Liviana. I know that suddenly disappearing like that was wrong and I plan on making up to it so I just wanted to give you a heads up. From today on, I’m courting you” he suddenly said and I looked at him in surprise.

Courting me?

“Courtship? That’s your take on this situation?” I said in disbelief.

“Yes” he said confidently.

I massaged my temple in frustration.

“Do you seriously think that that’s going to work?” I asked him with my brows furrowed. He sighed.

“No. But I’m willing to try” he said determined.

“You’re crazy if you think that’s going to work on me” I said and walked back to where everyone was as my heart started racing.

Courtship? Really?

Where did he even get that idea from?

“You’re as red as a tomato” El pointed out when he saw me. I touched my face and it was burning.

“I’m guessing you two have made up?” he said and I immediately shook my head.

“Of course not” I said with a frown.

“Oh yeah? Then based on your reaction, if you both still hadn’t made up, it won’t be long now since he’s making you blush” he teased and I glared at him.

“Shut up, El. It’s not going to happen” I said making him chuckle.

I huffed in frustration.

Yeah, right. No.

It won’t be that easy.

“We’ll see” Amaris butt in.

“Shut up, Amaris” I said annoyed.
