Livianaâs POV
Luan stood beside my bed without a word as he stared at me blankly.
Heâs been like that since he came in.
âAre you just going to stand there like a statue or something?â I said but he didnât answer.
The cold shoulder heâs giving me is a new side to him that Iâm only experiencing now.
Atleast heâs not leaving like last time without goodbye.
âOkay. I guess you arenât ready to talk yetâ I said in defeat as I got out of my bed.
Luan grabbed me by the arm to stop me.
âWhere the hell do you think youâre going?â he asked with his brows furrowed.
âOh so youâre talking nowâ I said with a smirk. Luan frowned at me.
âIâm going to my office. I havenât started on the documents I need to do since you and Andre decided that it would be a good idea to start fighting inside my office earlierâ I simply said and lightly pulled my arm out of his hold before walking to the door.
âYou should go home. I donât think being around me is the best idea for you right nowâ I said and Luan looked at me blankly.
âYouâre rightâ he said coldly. My heart clenched but I gave him a small smile before leaving the room.
I went to my office and locked it so no one could come in.
I sat there for a moment without doing anything.
Why do I feel like this right now?
Iâm at fault so I should expect this already.
Karma has got me good, I guess.
But what was I supposed to do?
Should I have driven out someone who saved my life not once but twice my whole life just my mate wouldnât get jealous?
Itâs not like I like it when other males flirt with me.
In fact, I hate it.
The only flirting I can tolerate is Luanâs.
I never tell him that but thatâs how I feel.
I sighed before grabbing a bunch of documents and started working.
I donât think Iâm going to be sleeping much tonight.
Thatâs for sure.
I worked on the documents all night and ended up falling asleep on my desk.
I woke up with a low g***n as my whole body ached.
Damn it.
I got up and went back to my room to shower and get ready for school.
After that, I went down to the living room.
I caught a glimpse of Luan in the kitchen but decided that it would be a good idea to stay out of his sight.
I skipped breakfast and went straight out to my motorbike.
Itâs would be a good idea to just go to school by myself like I always have.
I donât want another heated argument with Luan right now.
Weâre both very sensitive right now so if worse comes to worst, we really might end up hurting each other in the worst way possible.
I got on my motorbike after wearing my helmet then immediately drove off.
This is a good idea, right?
âDid you just leave on your motorbike?â El mind linked me.
âYesâ I simply replied as I sped up.
âWhat? Why?â he asked.
âIâm giving Luan the space he needs. I know he doesnât want to see me right nowâ I replied.
âI donât think soâ El replied. My brows furrowed confused.
âWhat do you mean?â I asked.
âLuan is furious right now that you leftâ he replied. I sighed.
What does his expect me to do?
He agreed to me last night so I figured Iâm doing the right thing.
âIâll see you in school later or when we get back to the pack houseâ I replied and cut off the link.
I sped up even more until I finally arrived at school.
âLivi!â Katie squealed when she saw me and hugged me.
âGoodmorningâ she said with a wide smile.
âMorningâ I said with a yawn. Katieâs brows furrowed at me.
âIs something wrong? You look like you havenât really sleptâ she asked. I gave her a small assuring smile.
âI just needed to finish some documents last night so I couldnât sleep muchâ I explained and she looked at me with a pout.
âMy poor Liviâ she said in her tiny voice as she cupped my face. I chuckled.
Katie walked me to my class.
I took a nap until the professor came.
I wasnât even listening the whole day.
I was too tired and sleepy.
When lunch came, I sent Katie a text that I couldnât join her because I wanted to sleep so she ended up going to me.
She ate lunch while I took a nap.
Katie is a blessing to me, really.
After that, we went made our way to our afternoon classes.
And for a moment I wished I just skipped my classes.
I saw Luan by the lockers with that human girl.
Luan was leaning on the locker while the girl had her arm extended and her hand on the left side of Luan.
The girl traced down his chest with her point finger in a flirty way.
âSo, my house later?â she asked seductively.
I clenched my fists.
I canât take this bullsht right now.
Instead of going to my class, I went to the field and below the bleachers.
I stayed there the whole afternoon trying to calm myself down so I wouldnât hurt anybody.
Amaris was beyond furious.
We didnât expect to see Luan like that with another girl.
And he said he doesnât take interest in other women except his mate.
I should have known better.
What did I even expect?
I guess I should expect this from him after everything, right?
Just before the bell rang, I went back to school to drop off my things before going home.
I put my things in my locker as the bell rang which means school has ended and I totally skipped my afternoon classes.
Great.
Then, Blake and Katie came.
âWhatâs up?â Blake greeted as he ruffled my hair. I gave him a small smile.
âIs everything okay?â he suddenly as with his brows furrowed.
âJust a little tired, thatâs allâ I lied.
Blake sighed as he lightly pulled me to him for a hug. Katie also hugged me from the back so I was sandwiched between them.
âWeâre recharging youâ Blake said and I chuckled.
âI know Blake stinks but bear with it for a little while, Liviâ Katie teased and then we let go.
âI donât stink!â Blake complained and Katie stuck her tongue out to him.
âYes you doâ Katie teased and they started bickering.
Blake and Katie walked me to the parking where my motorbike was.
Then, we saw Luan standing beside my motorbike.
My brows furrowed.
Whatâs he doing here?
Luan turned to look at us and his brows furrowed at me.
I stopped walking before we reached Luan.
âYou two should get going now. Iâll see you again tomorrowâ I told Blake and Katie. They agreed and we hugged before they walked away.
I took a deep breath and put on a blank face before walking to my motorbike.
I ignored Luan and grabbed my helmet.
âWhat do you think youâre going?â he asked annoyed as he grabbed me by the wrist.
I looked at him with a glare.
âNone of your businessâ I hissed at him before aggressively pulling my hand from his hold.
Luan growled lowly at me.
âWhat the fck is wrong with you?â he hissed back at me but I kept ignoring him.
âLivianaâ he said in a warning tone as he grabbed me by the arm.
âGet your hands off of meâ I said with a more dangerous warning tone.
âWhatâs happening with you? Iâm the one who should be pissed with youâ he said in an annoyed tone.
I rolled my eyes.
âYouââ
âLuan baby!â
We both turned to look at the human girl from earlier as she approached our direction.
This witch.
Whatâs she doing here now?
âLuan baby, I thought we were going to my place todayâ the girl said as she clung onto Luanâs arm.
My brows furrowed and my b***d boiled.
I shook off Luanâs hand on my arm then I glared at the girl.
âWho is she?â the girl asked with a raised brow as she pointed at me.
âGet your hands off himâ I said in a warning tone.
The girl raised her brow at me even more.
âWhy would I?â she taunted. I chuckled in disbelief.
âBecause heâs mineâ I said almost in a growl.
The girl laughed like a witch.
âYou?â she said and then looked at me up and down.
I frowned.
The nerve of this woman.
âI donât think youâre Luanâs type. Right, Luan babyâ she said as she bat her eyelash at Luan.
Luan looked at her then at me.
My b***d boiled even more.
âI warned youâ I said and then grabbed the girlâs hair before dragging her away from Blake.
She screamed and shouted curses at me before I threw her by the field.
âYou btch!â she screamed and tried to attack me but I dodged her and she tripped and fell.
âI told you. HEâS MINEâ I said sternly then walked away.
âLivianaâ Luan said as he held my by the arm.
I slapped him.
Luan looked shocked but I only looked at him with furious eyes.
âI know that youâre mad at me but this? I canât believe youâre capable of thisâ I said.
Luanâs brows furrowed as he looked at me.
âYou let other guys around you all the time. Why is it so wrong that Iâm doing the same now?â he said. My brows furrowed.
âSo you did this to get back at me?â I asked in disbelief.
âSo what if I did?â he said and my jaw almost dropped to the ground.
I clenched my fists.
âIâm so fcking disappointed in youâ I said and pulled my arm away from him before getting on my motorbike and driving off.
My hands tightened on the handles as I sped up.
Then I felt the wet substance on my face again as my heart clenched in pain.
Why am I hurting this way?
