Liviana’s POV

“I’ll try to come back later” Luan said as he got his bag..

I slightly frowned.

“Can I come?” I asked and Luan looked at me in surprise.

“You want to come?” he asked. I nodded.

“Can I?” I asked again. Luan smiled widely and pinched my cheek.

“Of course you can. I’d love for you to come with me” he said and I smiled.

“Okay. I’ll be right back” I said and rushed to my room like an excited child.

I got changed and quickly went down.

Luan was already waiting there for me and he smiled when he saw me.

“Where are you going, Liviana?” Dante popped out of the kitchen.

“I’m going out with Luan” I said as Dante approached me.

“I finished up the paperworks and if anything happens, I’m a mind link away” I added.

“Okay. Just try to reach out to me when you can so I know that you’re safe” Dante said and gave me a k**s on the top of my head.

I stood there stunned.

“You’re not going to argue with me about this?” I asked in shock. Dante chuckled.

“I’m trying to let it sink in to me that you’re old enough to know what you can and cannot do. Just don’t get into trouble and I’ll try my best to not make such a big deal of everything you do” he said and ruffled my hair a bit.

I smiled and hugged Dante.

“Thank you, uncle” I said and Dante caressed my hair.

“I trust you, princess. Just be careful” he reminded and I nodded.

“Edmond, I’m going out. I’ve done all the paperworks but if something happens, don’t hesitate to reach out to me and I’ll be back in a snap” I mind linked Edmond.

“Okay, Alpha. Enjoy the rest of your day. I’ll be in charge while you’re out, don’t worry” Edmond replied.

“Thank you” I replied and we cut the link.

“Let’s go?” Luan said and I nodded.

“Grey, don’t get my niece into trouble. I’m serious about ripping your head off if something bad happens to her” my uncle warned.

Luan chuckled.

“I’d never let anything happen to my mate” he said and held my hand to intertwine it with his.

“Bye, uncle. I’ll see you when I get back” I said as I waved goodbye to Dante.

We got out of the pack house and into Luan’s car.

Luan opened the door for me and I got in before he did then we drove off.

“Try not to leave my side when we’re there, okay?” Luan said as he drove.

“Why?” I asked curiously. I wasn’t planning on wandering off at his place but I was curious why I couldn’t do just that.

“Because there are a lot of men at my place, baby. I don’t trust any of them to be around you” he explained and I nodded.

It makes sense.

I’m sure his guards would appreciate it too if O don’t wander off at his place freely.

“Tell me if you want to take a tour there or something. I’ll be more than glad to give you a tour. And if you get bored, I can call Cassandra for you” he suggested. I nodded.

“Okay. Noted” I said and gave Luan a smile.

Luan smiled before reaching out for my hand and kissed it with a chuckle.

Soon enough, we arrived at Luan’s place and the guards opened up the gates for us.

I suddenly remembered when I went here by myself and got a ‘warm’ welcome from one of the guards.

I wonder if he’s still alive. I hope so.

I don’t really hold grudges.

Atleast sometimes, I don’t.

Luan opened the door for me and he intertwined our hands together as we walked inside.

The guards and helpers bowed to Luan as we passed by while Luan kept a blank expression on his face.

“Oh! Livi!” Abe popped out of somewhere with Beau.

I waved at them.

“Hey” I simply greeted.

The twins looked at each other then at us and then our intertwined hands.

“I’m guessing that you guys are on really good terms now” Beau stated with a teasing smile.

“Yeah. No thanks to Abe” Luan said then slightly frowned and glared at Abe.

“What? What did I do?” Abe asked innocently.

I momentarily let go of Luan’s hand and approached Abe.

Abe tensed up as my hand traced up from his chest to his collar.

“Suggesting to make me jealous was not it” I said and I made my eyes glow gold in warning.

Abe’s eyes widened in both fear and shock.

“Come on. I wouldn’t want you to rip Abe’s head off here. Your uncle told me to not get you in trouble” Luan said as he held me by the waist and pulled me to him.

I chuckled as I left Abe with a frightened expression.

Luan and I walked to their study.

“You scared the poor guy” Luan said with a chuckle as I sat down on one of the loveseat.

I laughed.

“What? I didn’t even say much. I only said that his idea was just not it” I said innocently.

Luan chuckled and stood in front of me before planting a k**s on the top of my head.

“I’m going to pretend that I didn’t see you flash your beautiful but terrifying golden eyes at him” he whispered and I chuckled.

“Are my eyes that terrifying?” I asked curiously.

It’s not everyday that you witness a she-wolf with blue eyes but glows a bright gold when she’s angry.

“It depends on the situation, my love. But to me, they’re absolutely breathtaking” Luan said and slightly pinched my cheeks.

I blushed making Luan smile.

After that, Luan started with his work as he went through some documents and books while I roamed around his study opening and reading through some of the books inside.

Then, some time later, Beau called us out for dinner.

“You scared my brother shtless” Beau said with a chuckle as the three of us walked together to the kitchen.

“I didn’t even say much” I said with a shrug.

“Yeah but your awra definitely said so much more than you did” he said and I chuckled.

“Your brother is an i***t” I pointed out and he laughed.

“That he is. That he is” he agreed.

We reached the kitchen where Abe and Cassandra were waiting.

Abe looked away when he saw me and all I could do was chuckle at how nervous he looked when he saw me.

I wasn’t going to hurt him.

Atleast, not today.

We ate dinner together.

I sat beside Luan and Cassandra sat across from me.

We had little conversations about school and their memories together as kids and teenagers.

After that, Luan and I went out to the balcony with a glass of wine as we looked over the garden and the moon.

It was a beautiful night.

“Are you staying the night?” Luan asked.

“We’ll see” I said as I took a sip of my wine.

“Are there extra rooms here that I can use?” I still asked. Luan nodded.

“There are” he said.

“But I’d prefer it if you stay in mine. It’s safer that way since unlike in your pack, there’s really no threat there” he suggested.

I got his point.

“Okay” I said.

“Edmond, I’m staying out for the night” I mind linked Edmond.

“Okay, Livi. Be careful wherever you are” he replied.

“I will. Thank you” I replied and we cut the link.

“I need to call my uncle” I told Luan and I got my phone from my pocket.

“Okay” he said and gave me a k**s on the forehead before walking away to give me some privacy.

I dialed Dante’s number and he answered almost immediately.

“Hey, princess”

“Hi. I just wanted to let you know that I’m staying out for the night” I said a little nervous.

“Is Luan with you?”

“He was but he gave me some privacy to talk to you. Why?” I asked.

“Can you go and call him? I want to speak to him”

My brows furrowed a little confused but did I was told.

I peeked inside and gestured for Luan.

“What is it?” Luan asked.

“My uncle wants to talk to you” I said and he nodded before getting the phone from me.

“Hello?” Luan said and I walked away to give them privacy this time.

It took a while for them to talk while I waited patiently inside.

Then, Luan gestured me to come and gave me the phone back.

“Hello?” I said.

“It’s okay to stay out for the night, princess. Just don’t forget to be careful. Also, have you had your dinner?”

“Yes, I did” I answered a little surprised he agreed so quickly.

“Okay, good. I’ll see you tomorrow”

“Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow, uncle” I said amd we ended the call.

I turned to look at Luan.

“What did you guys talk about?” I asked curiously.

“Dante just told me to keep you close at all times and stuff like that” he said with a shrug.

I’m still really surprised that he agreed so quickly.

“Nothing else?” I asked.

“He also said he’d kill me if anything bad happens to you” he said and we both chuckled.

Typical Dante.

Luan and I went back to his room and I went to the bathroom to shower.

Luan let me lend his clothes although I suggested to just borrow from Cassandra.

He said that it was better for me to wear his clothes so I can have his scent to let anyone else know not to touch me.

I got out of the bathroom and Luan looked me up and down then I saw the sudden flash of l**t in his eyes but he looked away.

“This is very dangerous” he muttered with a low growl.

I chuckled.

“I’m going to shower” Luan said and hurried inside the bathroom.

I laughed my a** off at how cute and tensed up he looked.

I sat on the bed as I combed my hair.

This is just like a sleepover.

Exactly.

It’s just like that.

But why do I suddenly feel a bit nervous?
