Livianaâs POV
âWhy canât I? I already took your parents after allâ he said with a smug smile.
I glared at him.
âAfter all, I was the one who let the council know about your mother and fatherâs affair and watched them get hunted downâ he said.
The color on my face drained.
âWhat?!â I growled as he let me go.
He looked down at me with a smirk on his face.
I wanted to punch him.
âYou heard me. I was the reason for it allâ he said smugly.
I wanted to kill him.
âHow dare you?!â I screamed as my eyes teared up.
âNot only that, I also kept your father in captivity for yearsâ he said as he looked at me with a satisfied smile.
I looked at him with so much hatred.
âUnfortunately, he diedâ he said and chuckled like a psychopath.
I clenched my fists.
âYou monster!â I hissed.
How can someone be so evil?
âAm I not the best in-law youâve ever met?â he said and I scowled at him.
âYou donât deserve to be called anyoneâs father. Specially not Luanâs!â I shouted angrily.
Then, he started to strangle me again as his eyes glowed.
âYou canât tell me who I can and canât be. Youâre just mistake. Youâre not fit for the throne and youâre certainly not fit for my son!â he growled at me and slapped me hard.
I fell to the side and slammed on the floor.
âInject her with more wolfâs bane. She canât get out of hereâ he commanded.
âYou wonât get away with this. Iâll make sure you get what you deserve and more. Iâll make sure you regret even living this lifeâ I said.
He frowned at me and left.
Then, someone came in and went behind me.
I growled when they injected me.
I immediately felt the effect of the wolfâs bane running through my veins.
Then, I saw black.
I kept trying to call out for help but found no one.
Not even the goddess nor Amaris would reply to me.
It was like I was alone in this battle.
I had no one.
It was scary.
Terrifying even.
But I kept my cool.
I canât give up like this
I need to go back.
I need to fight.
Everyone is waiting for me.
I canât let this happen.
I refuse to let this happen.
This isnât what I want.
This is not how I do things.
I tried to open my eyes again.
It was very difficult but I still managed to open them.
When I opened my eyes, I looked around weakly.
No windows.
Rock walls.
Only a single door and some torches to light up the room.
I must be underground.
I closed my eyes as I used what was left of me to sniff the wolves in the area.
1â¦
2â¦
3â¦
4â¦
5â¦
I kept counting.
10â¦
There was about 10 wolves guarding me in the vicinity.
I need to get out.
But I couldnât do it in this state.
What should do?
I looked at my hands.
Then, an idea popped into my head.
I remember I have healing abilities.
But would it work on myself?
I mean, itâs worth a try.
The worst thing that could happen is I could die but okay.
I placed my hands on my lap and I started to focus on the energy coming from it.
It lit up and I felt the power flow through me.
I was draining out my energy but at the same time, I was also being recharged.
I didnât know if it made sense but it was working and itâs the only thing that mattered right now.
I started to heal rapidly as the wolfâs bane in my body disappeared.
About a few more minutes, I finally felt a lot better than I did earlier.
So I can heal myself.
Cool.
That will come in handy.
I reached for the chain and quietly destroyed them with my bare hands.
As soon as I tried to stand up, I felt my legs wobble.
I sat back down and put my hands on my legs and healed them more.
I canât possibly run with wobbly legs.
I walked up to one of the torches and put out the fire.
Then, I used the burned wooden part of it and crushed it.
I spread it all over my body on my dirty clothes.
I did the same with the other torches.
I used itâs burned pary and ashes to hide my scent.
So that instead of smelling my scent, they be confused of the burnt wooden scent instead.
I made my way to the metal door.
Now, how am I supposed to work on this silver.
I thought about it.
I went back to the chair from earlier and wrapped the chain back on my body.
I figured I wouldnât need to find a way ti break through the doors.
I can let someone do it for me.
Easy.
I screamed and put my head down.
Then, I heard the door open.
Bingo.
I heard someoneâs footsteps coming to me then they stopped at a distant.
They poked me with something but I didnât look up.
They went closer.
Dumb move.
I quickly lifted my head up and grabbed the guy by its neck and twisted it.
He fell to the ground dead even before he could react.
I smirked as I grabbed the keys and sword on his belt.
âWhatâs happeââ the other guard peeked inside and I quickly rushed to him and grabbed him as I slammed his head on the wall.
He fell to the ground with a bleeding head.
How stupid.
I pierced a sword through his heart.
I couldnât afford him waking up and alarming the others.
I got his belt and sword and wore it on my h*p.
I looked left and right.
I didnât know where I was so I didnât know where to go.
I went with my instincts and went right.
I immediately saw a pair of guards so I hid.
As soon as they passed me, I grabbed the both of them from behind and smashed them into each other and then on the wall.
When they were out cold on the ground, I finished them off using the swords I got from the other guards.
4 down.
6 more to go.
I made my way to the direction where the guards came.
I didnât see anyone for a while as I tried to search for an exit.
Until, I heard footsteps coming from different directions.
I ran.
Then, I ended up encountering 4 more guards.
I held both the swords in my hand as we all met hald way.
All my sword training paid off after all as I battled with them.
4 vs. 1
I slashed one guard and finished him off then kicked him to the side.
I did the same thing to the other one and only 2 remained.
They ran as they made their way to me.
I smirked as I ran to meet them but lowered my stance and slashed on their thighs.
They staggered and fell forward as I turned my sword around and pierced it through their back and took it out.
I turned to look at them and cut their head off.
âThis will serve all of you a lesson not to mess with the rightful ruler of this territoryâ I said as I walked away and made my way to the direction theyâve been to.
Then, I found the exit.
But I quickly sensed more wolves coming my way.
I ran.
I couldnât shift to my wolf form.
I wasnât strong enough yet.
Iâll only end up straining myself and it will put me in a disadvantage.
I heard them coming for me as I ran faster.
I prayed that my legs wouldnât give up on me.
If that happens, Iâll surely be dead later on.
I ran and ran in this unfamiliar woods not knowing where to go.
I kept running.
Never in my life did I think that Iâd be in this kind of situation.
The situation where I ran away from my opponents.
I always faces them head on.
But now was not the time to act that recklessly.
Now, my main priority is to get out of here and to survive.
To go back.
To live.
Then, I came out of the woods.
And I saw it.
The same place from my dream.
Sht.
Why am I here?
I tried to turn back but I quickly saw the wolves making their way to my direction so I backed up.
They reached me as they surrounded me while I was near the edge.
I found myself in the same spot I was on in my dream.
The exact same fcking spot.
King Luis came through his men.
âYou canât run nowâ he said.
I frowned as I clenched my fists.
This really is happening.
Despite all my efforts to change it, itâs still happening.
What have I done wrong?
âYou can never rule over this territory . Iâll make sure of thatâ King Luis said.
âAll of this, just because of your selfishness. Your hunger for power. Youâre a disgraceâ I spat at him.
He glared at me as he grabbed a bow and arrow from his men.
âIâd rather die on my own than die because of youâ I said as I stepped back.
He looked at me with wide eyes.
âIâll fulfill my destiny one way or anotherâ I said as I let myself fall back.
I closed my eyes as I felt the air around me.
Iâll never get to see my family again.
Iâll never get to meet Katie and Blake.
Iâll never get to lead my pack.
Iâll never get to say goodbye.
Iâll never have that father-daughter date with Dad.
Iâll never be able to hug Pa and uncle Dante.
Iâll never get to thank Edmond and El.
Iâll never get to see Ellie grow up.
Iâd never get to tell Luan the truth.
Iâll never get to marry Luan.
And Iâll never get to build my own family.
A tear fell from my eye.
It was inevitable.
My death was inevitable.
