Chapter 1150

Marrying the Man in the Dark

Chapter 1150 Is Colin Gay?

Desperate, Colin reached out to Cherise for help. "Hey, I need some advice... how do you tackle a man? Is there a way to mend a broken relationship?"

Meanwhile, Cherise read Colin's message in the event company's office on her laptop screen and almost choked. "What the heck?! You wanna, like, impress a man? Seriously??"

Suddenly, she struck a chord, "No wonder you never seemed that into Lucy, even though she's a total babe. So, wait, you're, like, into guys?"

Colin was dumbfounded. He massaged his temples and glanced at Damien, working away like a robot. How, he wondered, could someone as cold as Damien be so head-over-heels for someone as ditzy as Cherise?

'The world truly is a strange place,' he thought.

He took a deep breath and explained, "It's not what you think. I managed to tick Lennon off this morning. He said some stuff that really got to him, and now he's locked himself in the office next door. Damien expects me to apologize, but I have no clue how..."

He sighed again, looking towards the man still fuming outside. "I don't even know where to start..."

Cherise frowned, glancing over at Lucy, who was diligently scribbling down plans.

It was Lucy and Cherise's first day on the job. Their supervisor had dumped the task of producing a creative birthday party plan on Lucy. At the same time, all Cherise had to do was learn some basic office software.

Seriously? It was like child's play compared to the social and work apps they used all the time. What was the point?

Cherise seriously doubted the supervisor was trying to make things difficult for Lucy.

It was their first day, and they had zero clue what was going on.

Forget about meeting the boss's expectations. They barely knew what they were doing themselves. Yet, the supervisor expected Lucy to whip up some celebration plans on the spot. That was setting her up to fail.

But Lucy, who usually wouldn't take any crap, seemed different today. Instead of arguing back, she worked surprisingly earnestly on this birthday plan.

Cherise, stuck with brainstorming ideas for Lucy, was dying of boredom. To pass the time, she started chatting with Colin.

"Sure, I can help... but you gotta tell me, why'd you end up arguing with Lennon, Collipop?"

Colin cringed. "Uh, about this whole 'Collipop' thing... It doesn't fit a guy like me, right?

Cherise grinned. "Nonsense! It suits you perfectly. Now, come on, Collipop. What's the deal with Lenn?"

Colin suddenly regretted turning to Cherise for help. But even though he was second-guessing himself, he spilled the tea about all his drama with Lennon.

"This sounds like a tough nut to crack; Lennon is notorious for being touchy," Cherise remarked, teasing Colin before getting down to business. "He's always been a handful. I've known him for years, and besides Lulu, nobody's ever managed to smooth things over with him. How about I have a word with Lulu for you?"

Colin was so shocked he almost fell off his chair. "No, no, no! Let's not bring Lucy into this... She wouldn't want to deal with my problems."

Furrowing her brow in thought, Cherise pondered, "You're right. I'll think of something else. Lennon's notoriously difficult to handle."

As Cherise finished typing, her supervisor called for her. "Hey, newbie, if you're not too busy, could you grab me a coffee?"

After spending the entire morning glued to her chair, Cherise's backside was sore. Given the chance to move around, she wasn't about to let it pass!
