Chapter 1006
âIt was Aurora who told me to come here and deliver clothes to her, sheâ¦â
Tylerâs voice was cold. âWhere is Aurora?â
âI⦠I donât know.â
Tyler shot her a knowing glance. âVicky, your ability to lie is getting worse.â
Vicky clenched her fists, trying to keep herself calm. âTyler, Iâm not lying. I have no reason to do such a
thing.â
âOh?â
âFirstly, we are already divorced. You have a fiancee, and Iâ¦â Vicky took a deep breath, then
continued, âI also have a fiance myself. We both have our own lives, so I have no reason and no need
to do such a thing.â
Tylerâs thin lips curled into a mocking sneer. âNo reason? Are you sure there is no reason?â
Under the manâs intimidating presence and piercing gaze, Vickyâs confidence wavered.
âWhat reason would it be?â
âFirstly, I forced you to divorce me. You didnât want to at that time, did you? Secondly, youâve had
issues with Aurora for a long time. Otherwise, why did you publicly label her as a homewrecker and
embarrass her? Also, Aurora snatched the items that you wanted at the auction. She took away your
man, and then also the items you wanted. So, you wanted to retaliate against her, tit for tat.â The manâs
voice was hoarse as if he had just woken up, but his eyes were sharp.
Vicky opened her mouth to defend herself, but Tylerâs words were logical and coherent, leaving her
speechless.
It was true that she did not have a good impression of Aurora, so Vicky rubbed the bridge of her nose
and said,â Believe it or not, I didnât do this.â
He shot her a half-smile. âWho wouldâve done this, if not you? Aurora? Would she give her own fiance
to another woman?â
Vicky was speechless.
No one would be foolish enough to give their own man to another woman.
Vicky had witnessed Auroraâs admiration and care for Tyler. However, if Aurora was not involved in this,
Vicky could not think of anyone else who would do such a thing.
Before Vicky could come up with a reasonable explanation, the sound of knocking suddenly came from
the door.
âTyler, are you awake?â
Vickyâs body stiffened as she recognized Auroraâs voice.
Tyler furrowed his brows. He let go of Vicky and said coldly,â Quick! Put on your clothes and hide.â
Clearly, he did not want Aurora to find out about their situation either.
Vicky quickly got out of bed to find her clothes.
However, she froze when she found her dress torn apart on the floor.
âTyler, my clothesâ¦â
At that moment, Tyler was buttoning his shirt, and upon hearing her voice, he asked impatiently, âWhat
are you waiting for? Do you want Aurora to find you?â
Knock, knock, knock.
The knocking sound became more urgent and impatient.
âTyler, are you in there?â
A hint of embarrassment appeared on Vickyâs face. She glanced at the disheveled sheets on the bed,
gritted her teeth, and draped the sheets over her body.
Wrapping herself tightly, Vicky walked toward the bathroom.
Tylerâs cold voice came from behind her, âAre you planning to hide in the bathroom? Do you want
Aurora to find you?â
Vicky paused and turned to look at him. âWhere else should I be hiding, then, Mister Hart?â
He pointed at the closet in the bedroom. âIn the closet.â
Vicky was speechless and felt extremely humiliated.
She used to accuse others of being a homewrecker, and now, she had become one herself.
Knock, knock, knock.
