"How are still mad?" Owen asks.
I throw a pillow at his stupid face, "How about the next time you're taking a shower I turn the water on cold."
Owen places the pillow on his freshly made bed, "I take cold showers."
I cross my arms, "Bullshit."
Last night I wanted to take a shower so once I got in Owen sat on the toilet so his family would think he was in the shower.
The little shit turned my water on cold. I'm still thinking about how I'm going to get him back.
He laughs, "I do. the last two minutes of my shower are with cold water." He shrugs, "It's good for your health and it helps with stress."
I roll my eyes and the door to his room opens, "Who are you talking to?" Owens's mom asks.
My entire body stiffens, and Owen turns pale, "Caleb."
Ally looks at him as if she doesn't quite believe his lie. "How?"
Owen rubs his neck, "I had my airpods in."
His mom slowly looks him over, "Are you still going to visit Mimi?"
Owen nods, "Does Sadie have practice today?"
"Yep, then I have to go to work," Ally says with a small smile.
Owen nods then they say their goodbyes. Once she's gone I whisper, "Who is Mimi?"
Owen chucks a sock into the dirty clothes hamper behind me, "My grandma."
I huff, "You're going to see your grandma. What am I supposed to do?"
Owen shrugs, "You can either go or stay here, I don't give a crap."
Before I can respond he walks out of his room.
And just like that, he goes right back to being cold.
I pull a hoodie over my head with a sigh, I guess I'm going to visit his grandma.

After Owens's practice, we went back to his house and his mom had fixed dinner. She made three baked potatoes. Since his mom doesn't know about me I took one for the team and ate goldfish for dinner.
To be honest, after his practice, we seemed to be getting along better. We joked and talked and he wasn't mean or cold. But after his mom came into his room he went back to being quiet and cold.
By the time I come out of his room, his mom and sister are gone. "What practice does Sadie have?" I ask softly.
Owen slams the dishwasher closed, "Volleyball."
I nod, unsure what to say. "Do you want anything to eat?" Owen asks.
"What do you have?" I ask.
He throws a pack of crackers at me, "Hopefully store brand crackers are good enough."
I glare at him and he simply smirks, but it's not the teasing smirk he used yesterday it a crappy one.
Fine, f he wants to be an ass then I can be one too.
"Let's get going, sweetheart," I say coldly as I toss his car keys on the counter.

The drive to his grandmother's home was quite beside the music playing in the background. And I soon came to realize that his grandma lives in a nursing home. A very nice nursing home.
I silently follow Owen inside and through the halls. An old woman greets Owen left and right.
He always responds with a smile and kind words. Each time I snort.
He can be such a charmer when he wants to be.
He finally stops in front of a door and knocks, "Come in," Someone says on the other side.
Owens opens the door to a small apartment. "Who has finally decided to visit me?"
Owen chuckles, "It's me, Mimi."
Once I shut the door I look around the apartment. The living room is open so you can see into the kitchen and the dinner table is in the middle. On the other side is two doors, most likely the bathroom and her bedroom.
An older woman stands up from the couch, "You look lovely, Owen."
Owen smiles, "So do you."
The only similarity between Owen and his grandmother is their eyes. They both have bright blue eyes.
His grandma swats her hand, "Give me a hug."
Owen laughs and pulls her into a hug, "Have you gotten taller?"
"No, I don't think so," Owen says as he helps her sit down.
Mimi sighs, "Can you get me a glass of water?"
Owen nods and I follow him into the kitchen, "Are you always this moody?" I ask.
He takes a glass out of a cabinet, "Are you always this nosy?" Owen replies.
I huff, but before I can respond his grandmother says, "Don't mind him, sweetie, most men are very moody."
Owen and I both freeze and stare at each other.
"Can she see me?" I whisper.
Owen's throat bobs, "Mimi, who are you talking to?"
"Your friend," She exclaims. "The girl that came with you," She adds.
I walk into the living room, "You can see me?"
Mimi smiles, "Yes, I can see you."
Owen sets the glass on the coffee table "How can you see her?"
Mimi glares at him, "With my eyes."
I laugh and Owen sighs, "That's not what I meant. What I mean is, she's not here." Owen rubs the back of his neck, "She's sort of a ghost."
"I'm not a ghost," I snap.
Owen looks at me coldly, "I said you're sort of a ghost."
I just roll my eyes. His grandmother takes a sip from her glass, "I know that."
"You know I'm a ghost?" I ask.
Wait no, I'm not a ghost.
Freaking Owen.
She nods, "I've always seen things that others don't, so when you walked in I didn't think much of it, but when you talked to Owen I figured something was up."
Owen takes a seat beside her and I sit down in a chair across the room. "How did you end up like this?" Mimi asks.
I look at Owen and he looks at me, "It all started with a wish that didn't go so well," Owen says with a teasing grin.
I hope you all enjoy it!!!
