Chapter 1011:
The crowd around them erupted in disgust. âWhat kind of monsters would do that?â
With measured steps, Allison approached Troy and Mindy, holding the agreement before them.
âIf you sign this agreement, Iâll give you four hundred thousand dollars to support you for the rest of your lives. Meanwhile, Amya will have no further connection to you. If you ever harass her againâ¦â
She leaned in, her voice low and chilling, making sure only the three of them could hear. âIâll make sure someone breaks your legs, and youâll never leave this fishing village again.â
Mindy, trembling, sank to the floor in fear. âY-You wouldnât dare!â
âOh, I would,â Allison replied coolly, pointing toward the police station. âAsk around about who was responsible for taking down Shadow Nine.â
It dawned on Troy and Mindy that they had bitten off more than they could chew.
Yet, Troy still clung to a flicker of hope, his eyes turning toward Amya. âAmya, have you forgotten? Who carried you to the hospital when you were sick? Are you really going to abandon your mother and me?â
Amyaâs fists clenched tightly at her sides. Severing ties with her biological parents meant leaving behind everything they had ever been to her.

With a steady voice, she walked up to them and spoke each word with finality. âIf it werenât for Ms. Clarke, Shadow Nine would have sent me abroad, and I would never have come back.â
Troy, desperate to defend himself, sputtered, âBut youâre fine now!â
Amyaâs face betrayed no surprise, her expression stone-cold. âConsider me dead. Donât come looking for me again.â
At her words, Allison spread the agreement before them.
âSign it. Or we can go to the police station to discuss your involvement in gambling and human trafficking.â
In truth, Allison wasnât about to let them off the hook so easily. This public display was merely a means to free Amya from the chains of her past.
Known for her thirst for vengeance, Allison would ensure they didnât get their hands on that four hundred thousand dollars. And as for truly letting them go â she had no intention of that either.
Mindy was on the verge of shouting at Amya when Sherman and his men shoved them both to the floor.
âMs. Clarke has made her stance clear. If you donât sign, youâll leave your legs behind,â one of the men said.
Troy, upon hearing this, turned his head to glance at the villagers who were observing from a distance.
âDo you even care about the law? If anything happens to us, theyâre all witnesses!â he yelled.
But just as he finished, his gaze dropped, and he found himself staring at a pair of black leather shoes. Above them, a pair of intense, calculating eyes met his.
