Chapter 559:
Even Andres looked grim. He never expected Amor to be that bold.
He approached Kylo respectfully. âMr. Vargas, according to Muisvedoâs rules, a cheaterâs legs should be broken, and theyâre to be thrown out.â
It was an old, calculated tradition. âThrown outâ was Muisvedoâs way of sparing the venue any death toll, though no one expected a cheater to survive long afterward.
Amorâs expression turned ashen. She could see the trap for what it was nowâKyloâs clever orchestration to sweep her out of the way for good.
Sheâd been outmaneuvered. Kylo had likely been scheming this for a long time, figuring out how to eliminate her under the guise of legitimacy.
Kylo was dangerousâmore dangerous than sheâd realized.
She forced herself upright, remaining defiant even now, blood trickling from her lips. âKylo, youâre a damn snake, joining forces with her to set me up.â
Her voice cracked with bitterness, eyes bloodshot. âBut donât think Iâll go down easy. Muisvedoâs entire foreign network is under my thumb!â
Kylo leaned forward, lacing his fingers. âThatâs true. But you wonât be going abroad anytime soon, Amor. I hear quite a few people are waiting for you.â
Heâd planned all of thisâto seize her connections, claim her empire. But he hadnât counted on Allisonâs arrival tonight. Her unexpected intervention proved to be a boon.
âBut you wonât get a penny if I die!â
G a lno ve ls . com is where the magic begins
Kyloâs calm expression didnât flicker. He raised his hand, and Andres nodded, turning to his men. âEscort her out,â he ordered.
âNo! You canât do this!â Amor clawed at the table, desperation etching lines across her face. âIâll haunt you to hell!â
But with her injuriesâboth fresh and festeringâshe could only watch as they dragged her from the room.
The faint smears of blood marking her path were soon followed by her piercing, echoing screams.
âMy legsâno!â
Everyone stood still, the casino blanketed in a heavy silence. No one dared breathe too loudly, too fearful to break the fragile calm that had settled in the wake of Amorâs removal.
Allison spun the revolverâs cylinder one last time, then inspected it briefly.
âMr. Vargas, the gun is empty now. Letâs call it a draw.â To prove her point, she fired into a safe area. Each shot clicked without a sound.
Kyloâs face softened, a genuine smile reaching his eyes.
âNo oneâs ever drawn with me before,â he admitted, his tone warm and without its usual cold detachment. âSo letâs call it a win. Miss Scarlet Snake, what do you want?â
They both understood the unspoken agreement between them: neither would press for more than the other was willing to give. Allison thought for a moment, then said, âAnother day.â
