Chapter 25// "You once pushed the girl you are 'supposedly in love with' out a tree"
I'm still breathing deeply from Elliott's exceptional kiss, I'm trying to avoid the stares from everyone that is until I see my brother standing in the front of the crowd.
His expression is beyond bewilderment and there's a tinge of pain and disgust in his face along with a whole lot of anger.
Elliott's grip around my waist tightens as if I'm about to be taken away from him.
Daniel takes a couple of steps forward, he's slowly closing the gap between the 3 of us, the way he's glancing at Elliott and me, it's as if he doesn't recognise us.
I'm holding my breath not looking forward to my brother's reaction. Daniel and Elliott had always been best friends, they're practically brothers. I never wanted to be the one to ruin that.
"Dan..." Elliott begins but Daniel's having none of it. Daniel raises his fist and aims exactly for Elliott's sharp cheekbone.
I feel pushed aside and I lose my balance only to fall on to the ground. When Daniel's punch is inches away from Elliott's beautiful face, Elliott swerves his head downwards to avoid it.
Elliott's swift movement seem to aggravate Daniel even more, and my brother currently looks like a raging bull.
"Are you actually joking me Elliott. Cress, of all people you chose my sister? When there are so many other fucking girls in the world" Daniel rages. I get myself back up brushing my jeans down and glare at the both of them.
"You don't get it, it's different it feels better than any fling" Elliott replies, which makes my heart flutter.
Daniel looked like he's about to be sick "Feelings? Where did you suddenly find them Elliott?"
Elliott begins to protest but Daniel doesn't give him the opportunity.
"We have been though everything together man, since we were kids, and I know you better just as well as I know myself. You don't do feeling. You don't do the whole relationship think. So what is this, a fuck and run?" Daniel is pretty much stating what everyone else is thinking. Elliott has never really cared anything and now he is suddenly saying that he has feelings for me?
"You know that if you break her heart, I will have to break every bone in your body, and that will break my heart" Daniel's voice is strained and for a second I feel bad, as though I'm taking something special away from him.
"But I won't break her heart" Elliott adds, his voice low "I swear I'd never do that to you"
"Come on Daniel let's just leave it," I say kindly, and its as though everyone's eyes snap in my direction to look at me as though they've forgotten I'm even here.
"Crescent don't you dare speak and when we get home you are in a shit load of trouble" Daniel warns harshly, he grabs on to my arm like he's about to drag me away.
Elliott tenses next to me as if his calmness has suddenly disappeared.
Daniel looks me straight in the eye. "Cress he's going to use you and throw you away, how are you any different from all the other girls, there is nothing special about you. How can I let you date the boy that tormented you all your life?"
"That's rich isn't it" Elliott laughs coldly, his tone from before completely changing "Am I right or did you or did you not date Aribella the girl who has been practically making your sister's life a living hell for god knows how long"
"Don't you dare compare yourself to anyone else"
"Dan, you might be my best friend, but what kind of a brother are you?Actually let me answer that, a shit one. Do you even know why Aribella, Winter and Crescent stopped being friends? No you don't!"
Elliott's words are obviously hurting Daniel, but is the truth. The clear harsh truth.
"When I came back from New York after all those months, you're sister was literally hiding in the shadows, you remember the day you let Aribella pour water over your only sister's head, she was freezing in the hall"
Daniel claps his hands mockingly "Right Elliott, you have caused Crescent to break her bones, you've made her cry more times than you have hooked up with girls and we all know you're one who to sleep around a lot"
"You dated your sister's enemy when there are so many other girls"
"You once pushed the girl you are 'supposedly in love with' out a tree"
Elliott gives Daniel venomous glare. Daniel and Elliott never get in to fights, around each other they are usually so calm as if they were different people and it was hurting me that they're arguing.
"You fucked Aribella, the girl who has turned your twins life upside down. She got Cress kicked off the cheerleading team, got her to move tables and worst of all she..."
I thing that was when Daniel had enough, he lunged for Elliott and this time he hit Elliott on the bottom of his chiseled jaw line. Daniel was tackling Elliott to the ground.
But for some reason Elliott wasn't fight back properly, in a matter of seconds my brother had Elliott pinned to the floor one arm across throat and another one up ready to hit Elliott.
"Go hit me Dan, hit the one person who has always been here for you. Hit me because I'm deeply in love with your sister. Hit me because I told you the truth because I would never lie to you"
Daniels fist was in the air, he had a chance for a perfect aim but he wasn't moving.
"You swear to never touch her again and if you try and take her virginity, I swear I will kill you"
"if she want me to then I will"
That's when Daniel slams his fist in to Elliott's face; I could see the pain from the punch in Elliott's eyes. But Elliott wasn't fighting it of. It was like he was trying to stay strong but also felt like he deserved it. He was torn between Daniel and me.
I could see my brother getting ready for another hit, so I throw myself on top of Elliott, I don't think I could stand the pain in my heart if Daniel hit him again. I could feel the love I felt for Elliott pulsing though my veins. It was ringing in my ears that I couldn't let Elliott get hurt.
"We fake dated okay, Aribella and me fake dated and it was all your fault Elliott"
That was possibly the biggest bombshell that Daniel had ever dropped. The gasp that ran though the crowd was like the wind howling though trees.
Daniel takes a step back form us, so I quickly get off Elliott. He immediately stands up and puts a hand out for me to take.
One of the schools 'hottest couples' was actually a lie.
My eyes were wide with astonishment, it couldn't be true. I begin to rack my brains for a memory, something that would explain what Daniel meant.
I look behind Daniel to see Aribella's face. I had glanced at he face previously which was filled with despicable rage when Elliott had kissed me but now she looks astonished, like a child finally being caught after telling a great big lie.
Everyone was looking at Elliott, what had he done so bad to force Aribella to date my brother. It was like images were flashing through my head of, them two being together.
When Daniel and Aribella were together it was the saddest month of my life, everyday seeing them together made my hear ache in pain. I was so deluded with my own hatred that I suddenly realized that look back at it that Daniel was never happy with it.
"What do you mean you never dated her, where you just fuck buddies' I asks Daniel crossly.
Daniel lowers his hand from Elliott's face.
"I hate how everyone judges me for dating her. She asked me to help her, okay"
My eyes narrowed at I looked at Daniel.
"Oh fuck it what difference will it make if I tell everyone anyway it's not like she'll ever have him anyway" it was like Daniel was contemplating with himself whether to tell the truth of not.
Behind Daniel I saw that Aribella looked place as a ghost even with all her fake tan on Goes to show fake tan can't hide your lies. She begins to walk forward at a quick pace; I could tell she was like a raging bull ready to attack.
"Aribella has always been completely in love with you Elliott, you were never just a hook up for her. She wanted me to fake date her to make you jealous"
I stare wide eyes, as the information sank in. I suddenly try and rack my brain for a cetin detail.
A kiss.
They never kissed, well not that I had ever seen them.
"You two never kissed" I say bewildered. It was almost like a huge weight had been lifted off my chest.
The images of the night our friendship broke up, and the final detail makes everything come tighter. It hits me.
"Daniel, I swear on my life that I will never break you sisters' heart" Elliott suddenly says, his voice was pleading with Daniel. He could barely look Elliott in the eye, but I could see he was breathing normal again and wasn't filled with as much rage.
Before my brother can reply Aribella is storming our way. Her hair was in a high ponytail, her makeup was messed up and her cheerleader outfit was just a sparkly as usual.
She slaps Daniel right across the face. Damn, that must have hurt.
"You bastard, how dare you tell that to everyone, you swore you wouldn't" Her voice was so screechy it was like glass cutting though my ears. If she got any angrier I think she might as well explode.
Daniel cradles his soar cheek but doesn't say anything.
"Crescent you're a naïve slut. What do you think the great Elliott Grayson is going to stick with you? Crescent have you looked in the mirror, you are not even the slightest bit pretty and you have no one, you have no real friends and you have no real family"
I continued to stare at her, she was going to take it too far, I know she was and I wouldn't hold back today.
"Your mother is dead and your dad may as well be dead, because that's how much he cares about you. He's letting you rot alone at home, because look at the state of yourself"
At that very moment Daniel was shocked in to silence and so was I then out of nowhere Aribella stumbles backwards, her face filled with surprise.
I look behind move to see Elliott's blue eyes that were dark with extreme anger, his facial expression tight. It was obvious that Elliott had shoved her backwards.
I quickly stand in front of Elliott knowing what he was about to do and also knowing that he would later regret it afterwards.
"Elliott, please calm down it's okay?" I try and plead with him, but his focus was on Aribella. I could tell if he got close to her he would hit her really bad.
"Move out the way Crescent, I don't want to hurt you but when I get my hands on that slut I'm going to kill her how dare she open her mouth to you like that" Elliott's voice was deep and terrifying dangerous. His voice made a shiver run down my back in fear. I snap my head to the left to look at Aribella who had gotten off the floor but she was unbelievably pale like she was about to vomit up her insides.
Daniel also stands in Elliott's way "Drop it you don't want to hurt her, you can't hit a girl"
Everyone around us understand that if Elliott even got close to Crescent he would make her regret every word she had ever breathed. But I also knew that would lead him to a jail sentence.
"Crescent, you don't know a thing do you, neither of you do. The Dawson twins, being related to one of the biggest men in New York, you'd think you would be a lot better in formed" That's the last thing Aribella got out her mouth before she was dragged away by some of the football team. Her words made my head spin, that I couldn't even think about what she meant.
"I'm going to give that bitch a piece of my mind, making fun of my dead mother" Daniel walks away in Aribella's direction.
Elliott's arms slowly wrap around me, the warmth of his body head was what I needed to try and stop shivering, I lean in to him.
"I'm sorry I scared you it's just... I can't stand anyone hurting you ever" His words where o protective that it made my heart swell.
"Elliott can you give ma ride, my head is killing me" I sigh placing my head.
"Cress I know your under a lot of stress but are you sure this a good time, though I wouldn't mind doing it at all, I would actually love to" He looks in the eye with a sudden change of expression, mock.
"Elliott what are you on about"?" I ask completely confused " I was asking for a ride home"
And for the first time I see his cheeks flare up ever so slightly, but I was close enough to catch his light blush.
"Oh I thought well you were... you know"
"I was what asking for a ride in your car, I don't think your car is that precocious" I sigh at his immaturity.
"I though you were asking for a ride on my dick" he chuckles.
"Elliott this really isn't time for your stupid joke" I sigh but there was a slight smile tugging along my lips.
Elliott throws his arm over my back as he guides me to his car, I lean my weight against him as I slowly feel myself drift of as I pulled my feet to keep walking.
Elliott helps me in to his car like a gentleman and kisses me on my hairline before he closes the car door.

That chapter feels like a bit of a mess, but anyway you got to love a good fight. Hope you enjoyed the drama.
I wonder why Aribella had asked for Daniel's and what is Aribella hiding about the Dawson twins?
I hope you enjoyed that and I'm going to upload the next chapter tomorrow, I cant wait it' so cute, it's a date but not a date. I just love them so much â¤ï¸ï¸
