Kylen's POV, "You there?!"I heard the drunken voice of Sam. Unbolting the door I rolled my eyes at him."What time is it now? Did I travel back to the past? Why is my watch saying it's 4 AM??"He walked to the downstair room and sunk on his matress."I love bachelor's life...thank god I'm not married...", he mumbled while I removed his shoes and covered him with a blanket.I completed today's workout routine at my gym.Getting into a shower, I planned for what to be done for breakfast.Grandma and dad must be waiting as it is a Sunday morning, that calls for a family time.But with Sam's condition, we have to stay here, at the guest house until he gets back to his sober zone.I was having my poached eggs when I heard Sam puking in his bathroom. "Expected.", I shook my head.After a while, he was out.Goodness, that he had taken a shower and was looking fresh now."My dearest Majesty.", I teased him while he coughed."I have a sour tummy.", he held his abdomen."The aftermath you deserve.""Kyle, stop.", he grabbed a chair."By the way I'm unable to find my house keys.", he scratched his head."You must have dropped it in club, Sammy.""No. I don't think I carried them with me. Its not in my pants or jacket."I sighed. "Can you go to Eleanor's house and check if it is there?", he asked."Why me?""I'm nauseous, idiot. I can't get out! This puking sensation is killing me! And if I really lost my keys again, this time the house owner is gonna kick my ass!!", he yelled."Okay. Okay. Relax.", I gestured with my hand to calm him down."Don't eat anything until you feel better.", I looked at him, "Have this pill if it troubles you a lot."Sam nodded and I left.I called Eleanor. I wanted to ask her if she had the keys at her messy home. But she didn't pick my call.She must be asleep.Going to her house, I saw her door unhooked. "Eleanor??"Is she okay? Did she overthink about Shawn's sister's words?I got inside quickly and saw her walking casually in a pair of black shorts and a skyblue shaded bra.That freaking bra was not doing its job. Her cleavage well seen. Her toned legs brimming in the light. My breath hitched while she started to scream at me like she saw an alien.I continued teasing her and got nearer to her with each and every passing second.I had spotted Sam's keys on the alamari, beside her. But she seemed to not know of what I was gonna do. I unknowingly liked that feeling.She quivered as I leaned to take the keys.Now, she tried to attack me. Oh my little warrior.Her chest rose up and down as my hand traced her warm skin.She grasped as I whispered against her ears, tilting my head, "Never let an intruder get this closer to you.""Ela dear! Urgent news! My Ela!"I backed off hearing Kattsy's voice.Nor fluttered her eyes at me while I left from there without speaking another word.As soon as I step out, I saw Kat with a mischievous smile."You gotta be kidding me!", I muttered.I shut the door from behind while she peeped. She definitely sensed something."Good Morning Dear BIL.""Bil?""Brother in law. See, either you are ending up with Ela or my sister. So you are my adorable bil."I face palmed myself."Missed her already that you are here?"Thank god, she nor Sam was not at Eleanor's place otherwise their mind would had pictured a whole movie on us of what just happened."What were you guys doing in there? You are kinda sweating in this freakish weather.", she examined me.Dude what. Did she see us? "I came for them.", I coughed, showing her the keys."Oh. He said that he had an urgent work too. So Sunday plan got rainchecked.It was almost dusk while I was playing with a ping-pong ball, in my guest house."Answer the damn call.", Sam roared at me, as my phone continued to beep."Hmm.", I answered the call."Can you come with me to the electricity office?", Nor asked, "They have cut off the supply for my house, despite me clearing the bills on time. And if you are asking why not Kat. Because she left to her native in noon and I'm alone here.""Yes Ela, he is coming!", Sam answered.The phone was on speaker."Hey Sam. You are here too? Why don't you come along?""No. My tummy is stuck in a whirlpool.", he cried.He is totally fine now. He is acting out.I cursed Sam in my mind."Take care Sam!", Nor replied."Don't worry about me, Ela. I'll take the pills and sleep. Okay?""Good boy.""Hey Kylen you are coming right?", she asked.Sam glared at me."Yes. Yes."Picking her up, we went to the office and sorted out the issue.She was rebellious out there, screwing those people as it was their fault.We were on the way back to home. She was still fuming like a pressure cooker."They said the electricity will be back in an hour.", I glanced at her."Better be.", she hissed, "Why do people have so much of attitude problems here?!"I chuckled.My car halted by itself with the engine and the lights shutting off. "Woa. What happened?", Nor passed a puzzled look."The car's battery must have drained out entirely."We were on the outskirts of the city."Are you sure the problem is with the battery?", she asked, trying to open her door."Kylen, unlock the car.""I'm trying!", I rubbed my temples, "The doors too function on battery.""Are you serious?", she stared at me with a blank face."Well, I don't have a manual key with me."All cars these days support only powered keys.Her phone was dead. My phone completely charged, yet showed no network with a bleak weather outside.I have a typed a message, once my phone catches a signal, Sam will recieve it.Nor was losing it."I'm stuck with you in this freaking car!", she held her head."It is the blessings of your Kat!", I shouted."What?!"___Author here,I have a cousin's wedding coming up and then my internals exams.So next update is likely to be on 19th November 2024.
